d, I was commenting on the gaps being filled entirely in the last few trading days, not just the (intra)day I made the comment. However, I did buy UGAZ @ 11 and @ 8. We must be on different sheets of music, but in time we will come full circle :) I was right though. UGAZ dropped becasue of two factors, gaps needed to be filled (which was a reflection of fear buying) and then (selling) to fill them, because the weather was warming up.

There is a typhoon hitting SE Asia in the coming days. Keep an eye on this, as it may create another cold snap in N. America.

The gaps were from two weeks go and a few days before on the index. You guys have to use NG as a secondary, SPGSNG is your primary for these specific etf's.

I told everyone here that ugaz was going to drop based on the gaps that had to be filled on the index, as folks pumped it (which has ZERO effect on the movement) like it was never going to see the levels they are at now.

I saw a reversal in $SPGSNG which is what ugaz/dgaz are directly linked to. I believe ugaz will begin to see a trend back up.

That's right. Like I have been saying, the outlook I am projecting is after the weather subsides (i.e. when the gap fills). That isn't until next week to 10 days. I am just going by the NG analysts and meteorologists at this point. Some people reading this board might be holding it from the 4's (which I am sure there are), and the points I make are technically and fundamentally valid, which may give them the necessary information to wait to sell at a loss and get most, if not more of their money back.

FYI, WND (world net daily) is a dispensational, fear mongering site. Their doctrine (in contrast to orthodox Christianity) is as skewed as they come. I would stay clear from them, especially in regards to their opinion on Gold.

I am only giving technical advice in hopes for people that want to buy baskets like UGAZ, when there is no support below and lost of intraday gaps around. Seems a little risky to me, but whatever. That's true. Stock charts is good, but thinkorswim is what I use mostly. Sometimes my Stock fetcher app and such, but generally, I can pinpoint rough estimates just by looking at the chart. There is still a large gap to fill on the daily chart from Friday to Monday, so I expect that to get filled in the near term when the hype over the cold weather subsides next week when things warms up. Traders are a very emotional bunch collectively, and fear tends to take over actual data, as it is with NG atm. Your welcome and thanks for the conversation. Always a pleasure!

As I have noted before, gaps always fill on indices, most often in the near term. If you look at all the news related to Natural Gas and the Weather it is "obvious" a reversal will begin in the near term. Most specifically in the coming days as this system that was a result of the typhoon in east Asia recently will have passed. From what I have been reading, it is going to be a mild winter, and nothing like last year, coupled with plenty of storage, all analysts say there will be plenty left over at the end of winter. Either way, you are free to trade whatever your risk tolerance can take. Expect a lot of see sawing in the next few weeks. At this time, I have my money in metal etf's.

The reality is NG, all of the above and then some, clearly show a gap from Friday's close to Monday's open. This will get filled in the near term. But if you want precise entry/exit points, SPGSNG is the ticker to analyze.

I will enter UGAZ after the gap is filled, if it does not fill which is always a possibility, I will pick some up when the index breaks resistance again.

dd, if you go to yahoo fin profile for either, it gives you the index these particular etf's are intrinsically and fundamentally related to. That is the chart to analyze.

What is funny is most of you guys are reading the wrong charts! Don't worry, most traders do so already with these ETF's. :)
