Yeah, that sounds reasonable.Watch the overnight session a little also, just to get a possible idea of tomorrow support and resistance. Overnight session volume does not mean much sometimes.

Look for weakening of the RSI and please only go for trend movement. Unless you feel comfortable going counter trend.
tomorrow might have a slight pullback in the overall picture.

Had a rough day at the office.Got stopped out twice on to "would be" winning trades.


In addition to that.One guy tried to "give an alert" about SPY Calls today. I told him it was an INSIDE DAY.He told me that most of the time when people refer to inside days they are speaking of "todays" open, being inside "yesterdays"price action.

The poor stubborn guy did not have the flexibility to see that if the stock sells off immediately into the previous days range, then hot dang it, it is an inside day.3 mins pass, choppiness, 5mins pass choppiness, 30mins pass no clear direction.
Unfortunately, around 11 pm(edt)I saw exactly SPY was going.
Seriously, I bs you not. the volume was drying up to the upside and plenty of resistance. Plus, its a Friday...

I did not have the heart to tell the bloke that SPY was looking at a decent down trend.
Boy oh boy was I surprise. It was more than a decent downtrend.
Some of those SPY puts went 300% today. Meanwhile the guys is still looking for a reversal. Then just ends up saying,"at this point we have no exit order in place...we are risking entire position to give room to move in our direction...for those unwilling to risk entire position, an earlier stop could be used(11:20AM"

Sure, risk only what you can lose, but..there is noway in hades that I'm cool with tossing money to the market for donations or maintenance fees.

I'll give it to him, his range for tolerability is strong. Must not have been a sizeable loss.

.I've been watching it the entire week.No scans of any significant option activity(unusual options activity at that).

So that was my fault in not clarifying .Although we are on a strictly options board. the filings you showed may very well have a point to your argument.

My main point was merely,you can bet your sweet apple pie that, if there was insider one would see at least,at least some type of open interest/volume imbalance. this entire week..I've seen none, zip, nada.

The first thing that came to mind when the title "insider.."is some type of advantage to position ones trade before the move.
And as nearly , or I should say a very great amount of insiders will use options to place there bets for extreme leverage.

Oh,and of course we know that ihub is saturated with these type of things.

Time will tell.

I have seen no huge orders what so ever in DNR.
nothing, that is not conclusive evidence of anything. I'm just saying, out of all of the insider that actually blatantly drop ginormous orders before the stock makes a move, did not see even one.

Questions option neighbors about spread


Just perusing around trying to get a little more insight, any input is appreciated.

I noticed that other traders have different styles and as long as one is profitable , that is what really matters.

It seems to me that not much attention is paid to the Bid/ask spread here. I'm I the minority that cares about the wideness of some of these options spread?

There's just a side of me that can't shake the idea of donating 10%,20%, 35% on a spread before I'm even clearing commissions.
Any thoughts for those that reads this?

I would filter my watchlist by what type of trader I am.
I like fast moves , but steady so I calculate the ATR(average true Range). This can be found on any indicator. This gives you real expectation of a day's move somewhat .Instead of hoping for what may not be visible along with some IV for that ticker.

Hard to think right now knowing that I merely paper traded SPY for a 140% profit knowing I should have been in their earlier with real money
