Diamond hands people!!
This can't possibly be the news, they were already investing in this market....
Navy, what's the news? You say there is only volume when there is news.......
See Rep. Tim Walberg and his introduction of the FAIR act, which is designed to keep government agencies from stealing money from the public and appropriating it for their own use.
“Besides ending the profit incentive and equitable sharing, the bill would end administrative forfeiture, allowing all property owners to have their day in court. Government officials could no longer "seize first and ask questions later" and then leave victims to navigate the process on their own, much like Anthonia and Terry were left to do.
The FAIR Act is a golden opportunity to protect Americans and their assets from government overreach and return to American principles like due process enshrined in our Constitution. We must pass the FAIR Act to protect the fundamental rights of American citizens.”
How sweet it would be if dividends were paid similarly to pre-conservatorship years. I could retire and live off the dividends. So uncool these private businesses remain in limbo.
100,000 shares would be a $28,000 dividend in 2024. Sigh....
Website Dividend FNMA now shows 0.00 - previously was .28 for 2024
but also shows Dividend Yield as 65.41 %
FNMA 10/28
I wonder the same thing about the stock price going nowhere. For all of the positive comments about how the trial is proceeding, is there no one else out there following the trial? If we win, is it a hollow victory with no positive consequences? Volume is limited, stock price is going nowhere, I am confused as to why this is having a negative impact.... of course, I am easily confused.
Maybe that's what happening. I can see no other rationale as to why this has shot up with no news and limited volume.
Stuck at triple oh 7, that's like 007 without the James Bond cache. 0007, ugh.
Why am I sitting here with some optimism? They are still on a path to release from conservatorship.... even if it takes five more years.
Good bye retirement...
Just as important, who is buying? It seems not too many people are betting on a positive SCOTUS outcome. I truly wonder if there is enough interest to send this to $3, much less $10. I feel like there should be millions of shares trading today.
All a 401k does is decrease your tax burden today. What direction are taxes going? You need to put your money into something tax free like muni bonds or an IUL. Why would you want to defer your taxes until they dramatically increase under Uncle Joe? Go FNMA, I hope we all have tax consequences!!!
I believe day traders have learned a thing or two about timing this stock. Not 100% of the time, but fairly predictably, the stock drops on no news or days before expected news, then runs up in the moments before possible victory, like a SCOTUS release. Take last Friday, stock drops, then runs up to $2.34 just prior to the court release time. Somewhat predictably, it drops again today, only to a likely run up before 10:00 tomorrow, another SCOTUS release day. I am pretty sure day traders have been doing pretty well with this play.
That was quick, SCOTUS is really stringing us out...
Are you surprised that we are trending up even after a lack of SCOTUS results this morning? I would have bet down as we generally get crushed after a no opinion day.
That was useless, R number already.
Don't Live Like a Refugee, Skeptic. While this may be a momentary Breakdown, we are still Running Down a Dream with this stock.
On volume that is not incredibly substantial. No buyers today....
Volume today is already approaching the entire volume yesterday. As Navy often states, volume is the key to progress, though today's volume has taken us down. I'm still shaking my head as to why anyone would sell this close to a court decision....
Why do I feel like a favorable ruling won't dramatically increase share prices? Even if SCOTUS ruled 9-0 in our favor, it seems like there are many months, if not years, of legal wrangling until something actually happens.
Blowout quarter and what do you want to bet that we finish red today? Ugh....
These are five excellent bullet points. Which always leads me to wonder how anyone could sell their shares two days before another SCOTUS opinion date. Volume is low today, but who is selling and why? If you've held on for this long, why would you sell now? If you are flipping, you must know that a positive court result is a possibility, why miss a chance for a jump in share price?
Prostitution is legal in Pahrump.
Sure, let's talk about the PPS. This thing bounces around like crazy on very little volume. Volume is obviously the key to gains - or losses. During the most recent run, volume was up. Now, you've got folks buying at .0019 at the phenomenal rate of 100k shares. That is a trade of $190. Would you put your faith in a stock that moves 40% on one trade that cost the buyer $190? Welcome to MM's and market manipulation. This stock will have value if the owner actually gets off his butt and does something with it. Still waiting....
Having also been stuck here for ten years, I would ask why you want to quit now prior to a monumental court decision. If we lose, you lose what, $1 per share? If we win, read the speculation on this board. Is it hard to believe that you could easily see an $8 per share gain? More? Seems like if you've waited this long, you might as well stick it out. Not a recommendation, of course, but the upside seems to be substantially better than the downside risk. That's why I'm afraid to sell the pops - you never know when the volcano is going to blow! (See St. Vincent...).

19-422 Collins v. Mnuchin 2020-12-09 Affirm 6-3 /case-prediction/collins-v-mnuchin/
Maybe this was already posted, but this is the expected result per FantasySCOTUS.net.
Just as a side note, volume and chatter has pretty much disappeared in the afternoon here. Hence the slow drip south...
Pretty significant sell off to start the day. That's a lot of profit taking going on....
Robert, great summaries. Hard to believe that in the US this was allowed to happen to private property owners. If we lose at SCOTUS, I will be very dismayed in our country.
Volume is down, the number of posts is down, we are down to watching paint dry and share price slump until the court decision. Unless something tasty happens prior to that...
Memorial Day 2028...
Every time this creeps up, I keep waiting for the shoe to drop.
Damn, it was starting to get close to $1.98, but then lost momentum pretty quickly. Someone made some money selling at .003....
With a possible Supreme Court win and with significant documentation from the entities pointing to an eventual release from conservatorship, it is amazing to me that this stock does not creep upwards on a daily basis instead of moving down. Many people on this board talk about meeting at the Wynn in Vegas. I could see how some people might look at FNMA as a Vegas opportunity. It may not be a sure thing, but if you could drop $1800 and pick up 1000 shares that could eventually be worth $18000, isn't that a pretty good gamble? I could certainly see FNMA having a better shot at a 10 bagger than, say Tesla or Apple at this point....
What does this mean, that the enterprises must be placed in receivership in order to be released from conservatorship?
The scorecard requires both Fannie and Freddie to begin developing a plan to resolve its business in the event the enterprises were to be placed in receivership, also known as a "living will," which the agency has called a necessary step toward Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac's fiscally responsible exit from government oversight.
Why would it not be better? Once we have completed a capital raise, we can start offering dividends again.... assuming the conservatorship ends prior to or post the capital raise.
Happy 2021 everyone! First AFTC post of the year. I am hoping for a very successful year for Harry so we can all party like rock stars!
Infuriating how it says at the end of your green highlights paragraph that these are "government run entities...".
If you're going to pull your ask I'm pulling my $.02 ask.
