Earlier this month West Red Lake Gold Mines Ltd. (WRLG.v WRLGF) released highlight learnings from the test mining and bulk sample program at its 100% owned Madsen Gold Mine.
With West Red Lake Gold Mines Ltd. (WRLG.v WRLGF) using the consensus long-term price of US$2,350/oz in mine design compared to a gold price of US$1,680/oz used for the mine plan in the PFS, it has resulted in lowering the cutoff grade for resource inclusion, bringing additional resource tonnes and more overall ounces into consideration for mine planning.
More on the program in this interview with the VP of Communications Gwen Preston:
Yes, they were being extremely conservative on the Pre-Feasibility Study. It should be easy for them to greatly surpass any expectations that one has,( based on that report).
West Red Lake Gold Mines (WRLG.v WRLGF) recently updated its Madsen Gold Mine plan using bulk sample data. The update supports larger, more efficient long hole mining, improves modelling accuracy, boosts mining efficiency, and increases tonnage/ounces by over 200% in two key zones. Full DD here⬇️

Yes, I saw that yesterday.
I received an email this morning about a fatality at the Madsen mine yesterday.
Temporary shut down while the investigation into the death and causes are being determined.
West Red Lake Gold Mines' (WRLG.v WRLGF) CEO highlights their Madsen Gold Mine’s restart & processing ramp-up.
The last two or three recent videos (June 2025) are very interesting.
Shane and Gwen know they have great news coming about production results for Q2. The original conservative plans have been blown out by Gold at ATH. Increased bulk tons at lower costs with increased Gold ounces.
I don't want to say "giddy". They seem to be trying hard to talk about the original plan numbers of 70000 ounces of gold per year. However, with the increased tons it just seems like the numbers will be so much bigger and at lower costs per ounce.
I'm still trying to trade around the edges to grow my position, but there is so much incredible news due out in the next month or two, trading in and out could be risky. This thing might jump to $1.00 USD soon.
Not investment advice. West Red Lake Gold is starting production of gold at the best possible time. Gold at ATH. What a great little story here.
Recent video from June 9th.Really gets into the mining plan.Lots of details.Lots of information.
Not sure why the last video does not open.
It is on YouTube on channel "Sidoti Events".Gwen Preston is interviewed.
This video shows on YouTube as posted 1 day ago. My guess is the video was created this week. Maybe yesterday June 12th 2025.
Both price targets predict over 200% upside from here. When I watch Shane Williams interviews or read his emails I sense a confidence in the Madsen plan especially at these gold prices.
Shane is not slick or flashy. Just someone who has been there and done that before.
West Red Lake Gold (WRLG.v WRLGF) CEO Shane Williams joins Crux Investor to discuss the Madsen Gold Mine restart, supported by 96% grade reconciliation, 94% mill recovery, and a shift to long-hole stoping. Processing has begun at 500 tpd, with a ramp-up planned for later in 2025.
WRLG.v (WRLGF) is revamping its Madsen Gold Mine plan after bulk sampling confirmed model accuracy & revealed the benefits of larger stopes & long hole mining. These changes improve efficiency, cut costs & unlock more of the 1.65Moz resource under improved long-term gold price assumptions. More⬇️

Informative recent interview with the President and CEO of West Red Lake Gold Mines Ltd. (WRLG.v WRLGF) on the official restart of the Madsen Gold Mine in Ontario.
Since acquiring the mine in June 2023 West Red Lake has stayed committed to restarting Madsen in the middle of 2025. Restarting now, slightly ahead of schedule, positions the mine for an exciting 2nd half of the year. Specifically, West Red Lake plans to mine and process an average of 500t per day for the first 2 months before ramping up operations through the 2nd half of the year.
Thanks. Great video.
New video posted to YouTube this morning.

Today West Red Lake Gold Mines Ltd. (WRLG.v WRLGF) released highlight learnings from the test mining and bulk sample program at its 100% owned Madsen Gold Mine that are translating directly into a detailed mine plan with generally larger stopes, greater mining efficiencies, and lower cost mining methods than anticipated.
West Red Lake is currently using the consensus long-term price of US$2,350/oz in mine design, compared to a gold price of US$1,680/oz used for the mine plan in the PFS.
This difference in gold price is noteworthy as the PFS mine plan generated strong economics that supported the restart decision. However, using a high gold price in stope design effectively lowers the cutoff grade for resource inclusion, bringing additional resource tonnes and more overall ounces into consideration for mine planning.

I have been following this property for many years. This does not surprise me but pleases me greatly. I think they are just scratching the surface and there may be a lot more to come.
If you sign up for emails from West Red Lake Gold, CEO Shane Williams provides very interesting information about the reasons for some of their technical decisions.
Some of this information is very valuable to understand the difference between the failures of the previous Madsen mine operators and the investments in infrastructure that will allow West Red Lake run a successful mine.
The email from May 30th 2025 discusses the Underground highway (also called the "connection drift") that connects the East and West locations.
The title of the article was
"The Vital Importance of Underground Development"
By Shane Williams
President and Chief Executive Officer of WRLG
I found this video on YouTube from May 28th 2025. West Red Lake Gold Madsen mine is pouring gold.
One highlight mentioned the underground highway (connection drift) connecting the east and west locations. The underground highway will allow 24×7 movement of ore to the mill in larger trucks than would have been possible moving the over above ground through a population center.
It was mentioned the underground highway will pay for itself in 3 months of production.
Actually these results are listed in the May 28th release. The article from today just highlights the best results from the previous release.
The beautiful thing is these new results will be pulled into the mine plan and will soon be poured into solid gold by the West Red Lake Madsen mine.

West Red Lake Gold Mines Ltd. (WRLG.v WRLGF) recently released drill results located approximately 50m up-dip from the South Austin intercepts previously announced on February 26th at the recently restarted Madsen Gold Mine in Ontario.
According to West Red Lake President & CEO Shane Williams, it was becoming apparent that a lot of high-grade material was left behind in this area by historic operators and West Red Lake is taking full advantage of this low hanging fruit that sits immediately adjacent to the existing underground development. As drilling progresses at depth, the company expects to uncover more areas of untapped potential and will provide further updates as assay results continue to be received.

The Company property is situated on the Red Lake Archean Greenstone Belt, which hosts the high-grade gold mines of the Red Lake Gold District.
The 3100 hectare West Red Lake Project has 12km of strike length on the regional east-west trending Pipestone Bay St Paul Deformation Zone. Three former gold mines – Rowan Mine, Mount Jamie Mine, and Red Summit Mine – are all situated along the deformation zone on the Company property.
A second regional gold bearing structure, the NT Zone, trends northeast on to the property and intersects with the Pipestone Bay St Paul Deformation Zone approximately 1km east of the Rowan Mine.
The Rowan Mine property is comprised of 119 claims, 50 patented, 18 leased, and 49 staked claims. The Rowan Mine property hosts significant regional gold bearing structures which intersect near the former producing Rowan Mine. The Rowan Mine was in development from the late 1930s to the 1950s with mine workings consisting of a vertical shaft, three levels including an adit on the first level, and underground exploration of drifting and raising along several gold zones.
The Rowan Mine property is located on a gold-bearing structure known as the Pipestone Bay St Paul Deformation Zone, which continues east to the town of Red Lake. Gold zones are hosted within a sequence of altered mafic volcanics, felsic volcanics, porphyries, and ultramafics.
The Balmer-Confederation aged unconformity, folded iron formations, and ultramafic units on the northern and southern portions of the Rowan Mine property have been shown to be prime hosts for gold deposition in the Red Lake Gold District to depths exceeding 2000m. The three former gold mines on the West Red Lake Project are situated on the Pipestone Bay St Paul Deformation Zone.
The NT Zone, which strikes northeast onto the property from the neighboring Newman Todd property operated by Trillium Gold Inc, intersects with the Pipestone Bay St Paul Deformation Zone, forming the highly prospective Structural Intersection target area located 1.5 kilometers east of the Rowan Mine Shaft.
Rowan Mine Deposit
The Rowan Deposit Gold Zones have an established strike length of 1200m and remain open at depth. The Rowan Mine Gold Zones have been explored to a depth of less than 500m and contain several high grade gold zones which are a primary target of exploration for expansion to depth.
NT Zone
The goldbearing NT Zone is 2km in length and hosts several high grade gold zones.
Structural Intersection Target
The intersection of the Pipestone Bay St Paul Deformation Zone and the NT Zone occurs between 1km and 2km east of the Rowan Mine Shaft and presents a highly prospective exploration opportunity.
