Mr. Green received his Agricultural Economics degree from Texas A& M University where he was also a two sport letterman (sic). He was raised in North Central Texas where his family had been involved in the cotton and cattle industries for 3 generations. Mr. Green founded Sport Turf Supply, Inc. in 1998 and Dr. Dirt Lawn Care, Inc. in 2003, both of which specialize in turfgrass management and consulting in commercial and residential avenues respectively. His emphasis on agricultural economics, organics and Integrated Cultural Management Practices in turf maintenance led to his company receiving the highest rating given to a primary contractor of the Department of Defense at Maxwell Air Force Base. Mr. Green has maintained an agriculture consulting business for 25 plus years. Through Mr. Green’s efforts as past President of the Alabama Turfgrass Association, turfgrass was introduced to the Alabama Legislature and recognized as an agricultural crop in the state of Alabama. He has served as a gubernatorial appointee to the Alabama Drought Assessment and Planning Team and has held memberships in numerous turf-related and agricultural organizations. BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Ron Kaufman, age 57, has been a member of the Company’s Board of Directors since October 21, 2013. Mr. Kaufman has been a professional crop and livestock farmer since 1976. Mr. Kaufman has served on the boards of theFarmers Home Association and the Kingsbury County Crop Improvement Board.
Verlyn Sneller, age 71, has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Company since May 2013. Mr. Sneller replaced Duane Spader as president of Verity Farms LLC. In 1989, Mr. Sneller started Feed Tech Company to work with farmers on soil and plant nutrition to improve livestock health and production. Mr. Sneller subsequently served as the chief nutritionist for Dakota Beef. Since 2004, Mr. Sneller has been involved with Verity Farms, LLC. Mr. Sneller received a BS in Agricultural Education from South Dakota State University - Brookings.
Duane Spader, age 73, has been a Board Member since Verity went public in early 2013. Spader attended South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota and left college to start a recreational vehicle dealership in Brookings, SD, subsequently moving to Sioux Falls, SD. Mr. Spader has extensive business experience in the recreational vehicle industry--http://www.rvbusiness.com/tag/duane-spader/. Mr. Spader founded The Spader Companies, including Spader Business Management ("SBM")--https://www.spader.com/- in 1977 and was its President until 2002. Mr. Spader is a former CEO of Verity and the largest shareholder and creditor of Verity Corp.
James White, age 62, served as Chief Operating Officer since November 15, 2013 until his appointment as CEO in August, 2014. In 2004, Mr. White founded JLW Communications, a consulting company for sales, marketing and strategic management, including five years as an outside consultant for the Company. Mr. White is also the owner/operator of the skincare e-commerce company, Lavandou LLC (www.lavandou.com) in North Carolina.
Mr. White previously served as president of Triumph Boats, president of McCulloch Corporation and vice president of Deere & Company.
