No dichotomy, when I trade penny stocks I usually use technical analysis. In the case of VLDI It told me to get out a long time ago and it told me never to get back in. I will now crawl back under my rock, waiting to hear the big news!!!! BTW I didn't make my profits in penny stocks!

Well, Validian wasn't in the trips, and they didn't run to 2 cents.

They were at 7 cents and they dropped to .5 and stayed there for a year or two.

And any moves they made were single and double-digit percentage gains, not tens of thousands of percentage points.

BTW, nice move on SRMX and BMIX. Congrats. Our day is coming.

It will be one for the record books.

I did it with SRMX and BMIX, 3 years ago. Both ran from trips to almost 2 cents before I sold. Now I take nice vacations to South America and SEA. A few times a year.

All depends on whether they are buying the product or the company. If they are buying the product the cash does not go directly to the shareholders and the company can decide what to do with the cash, like invest in something else. If they are buying the company then they are also buying all the debt and liabilities of the company but the shareholders will be paid directly.. For an acquirer it is always cleaner simply to buy the product. Just stating the facts!

Also with unregistered securities the SEC really does not come into to play as a enforcement agency.

They call it a Corporation.

I heard that the people who invest in them actually have legally binding certificates that guarantee them a SHARE in the company's profits.

I heard that Validian is going to go that route.

So, I am hoping that my money is safe.

By the way how do you expect to get your money out if a deals does happen. and you can trade the stock I guess you will have to hope Bruce does the right thing and does a cash distribution to the shareholders after taking care of all the debt and preferred stock

It isn't that the process of a return to an exchange or a buyout couldn't start in the next month or two. It is just that both possibilities involve legal issues that take time. Any time you get lawyers involved, they love to bill by the hour. I have been told that the minimum time we should expect after a decision has been made to go one direction or the other is one month, with three months as a max if there are issues that need to be resolved.

The exciting part is that we now have proof that we are in the right stock. It has gone way beyond rumor and JMHO.

Of course, I am glad to see that you have finally seen the truth about Validian, and I certainly want this saga over as soon as possible, the sooner the better. So, please do not take this post negatively.

However, though I am certain many positive things are happening, and I have no doubt that Validian is all we ever hoped it would be, I would suggest that you force yourself to HOPE for two months but be prepared for four. Any positive changes that are currently in the works may take a couple of extra months to bear fruit simply because attorneys and the SEC are involved.
