These guys don't come out frequently enough with their calls, but when they do, its pretty dramatic. The charts shows, on a weekly chart, the phenomenal BEARISH ascending triangle. That is one of the most precarious charts I have EVER seen.

Before it potentially collapses, it should crawl up a bit, but then, WHAM.

Course the maraschino cherry indicator was the bought and paid media reporting in globally yesterday that billionaires were taking delivery of gold. That was like shorting oil at the point that Katrina hit Louisiana.

Nah, I don't short stocks. Built too many companies and never appreciated short sellers. I short on the futures. Or options. Don't worry, not in your way here. And McEwan? He has to be getting a little old now isn't he? Does he really need any more money?

Well, lets just say, that the fellas who took gold down to 255 an ounce, have made an executive decision, to take it down to 650. Lets see if I have an in with them, or whether I am a gold basher.

Consider one thing. Gold can be manufactured(certain scientists proved this years back, from mercury). Secondly, gold detection devices have been around for over a decade, that are built into NASA satellites. There is tons and tons of gold in the ocean, deserts etc... way too much of it.

But like the oil myth(oil comes from poor old dinosaur fossils) to get gold to bubble, you have to sell the peak gold story. It worked, look where it is.

As a trader you have to be aware of all this.

I appreciate your comments but how can you say tough time on Gold - it's been on a monster run for awhile - todays correction will only strengthen the bullish trend - going much higher

Tough time on gold to be running a promo, but that is the luck of the draw. If the promo artists were better at market reading, they would have been finishing around yesterday.

But promoters don't usually learn those skills till they take enough money out of the system.
