Not at this moment. But then the only YouTube video I've clicked on today is the one in my own post.
But its not happening to you now is it. I caught the earlier discussion but it didn't affect me.
I've never had that. But those damned QR codes are more and more common. I tried to use one recently, but my efforts at scanning were... not successful. Perhaps I was doing it wrong.
All of it is becoming annoying. Now if you want to read just about ANY news source, you have to register.
Did you manage to see what you wanted in the end, or not?
Here's something I've never seen before. I was going to watch an episode of "It's About Time" on YouTube because I wanted to watch something a little more intelligent than what's been on the news shows all morning and I got this:
So whatever's going on, I don't think is an IHub issue.
There was an earlier discussion of it about a month ago. It had never happened to me till then.
Again, I've never "signed in" to YouTube, and have no idea how to do it. I do frequently see ads inviting me to try out my own YT channel free, but I always decline them.
But in this case you didn't, I didn't and Susie did. If it was happening to more people than there should be more complaints and I don't think it is an IHub problem but either the user or You Tube. Per You Tube they realize there is a problem. I haven't logged into YT in months.
So the problem lies with Susie's setup and not yours since you could post it and it shows up.
No, that isn't it. I have the same experience, though only sometimes. The embedded link looks the same as always, but when you click on it, it tells you to sign in. You click on "sign in", and nothing happens.
I find that bewildering. How does one sign in to YouTube? I've never done it. And if you click on a YouTube video that's embedded here and are asked to sign in, clicking on that doesn't have any result. You must, as I think I said, refresh the post and then click on Watch at YouTube.
As I said, Susie had the same experience:
https://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=175324538
I just clicked on my original link. Works for me. But that is not invariably the case.
Received and answered.
Have a good one.
The screenshot has to come from the person who couldn't open it. Janice's won't help since it worked for me and I'm not logged into FB.
I clicked on your link below and it opened correctly for me.
See the screen capture below. So the problem lies with Susie's setup and not yours since you could post it and it shows up. I'm starting to feel for the Geeks having to deal with YT issues. People can right click on the box and copy the URL to another tab and it will open.
U got mail !!!!!
It's not asking me to login. I can play it embedded or click on Watch on YouTube. Although I'm probably already logged into YouTube in that browser.
I guess a screenshot might help to identify where the roadblock is. Here is YouTube's answer to the question(emphasis added):
https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/9879569?hl=en
And here we go again. YouTube videos aren't embedding properly once more. I posted this:
https://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=175324308
Susie replied that it asked her to sign in. Who even knows what you're supposed to sign in to? The only way to fix it is to leave that IHub page, and then return to it, and click on "watch at YouTube".
You can Google how to change the clock. I have one page that tells me how to do it on my truck.
I have a Suzuki ignis, dunno if it exists in USA.
Anyway, the owners manual is several hundred pages. I once consulted it for the recommended tire pressure. Gave up after about 20 mins.
I've never bothered changing the time, who the hell knows how many hours I'd spend trying to figure out how to do that!!
I have about 10 clocks and watches, one in my truck and 4 mechanical that will need resetting. If I start now I should be done by 2am.
Just make sure you don't wait up until 3am to turn back to 2am because then you have to wait an hour for 3am to turn back to 2am....
Ground hog day....
Broken clocks are right twice a day.
Which reminds me to turn the clocks back an hour tonight.
Not Paulie! He's ALWAYS right!
LOLOL!! You are as always correct, Paulie.
You wouldn't be astonished if you considered who the poster was who started this ridiculous thread about hard copies, just to bait members into this nonsensical conversation.
Someday we'll discover that he's a 16 year-old Tarot card reader on TikTok.
Paulie's Pixel Palace
Yes. Just astonishing.
LMAO, hard copies?!
Dear IHUB members,
We have lost millions of posts over the weekend BUT do not worry, we have a team of 10,000 reading and recreating the posts from hard copy from 27 storage warehouses around the world.
We estimate that everything will be reinstated within the next 20 years.
Thank you for your understanding. 😅
Or it times out waiting.
They are basically the same if you are paying attention.
The difference is Ihub does not have to maintain the servers and hardware where the software and data reside and run an interface out to the world wide web.
Everything moves to a 3rd party that will host the software and data and maintain the interface to the WWW. The Geeks will still have to maintain and make changes to the software and Ihub can have a garage sale with all the equipment left behind.
Amazon, Google, Microsoft, are just a few players in offering cloud computing services to clients.
Okay, I get it. And yes, that would explain what I see when the site is lagging. Thanks!
Geek speak.
The web site sends a response back to you computer to tell it that the request for web page has been received. That counter clockwise circle is saying, I have sent the request to the server and an waiting on the acknowledgement that the request has been received. When that acknowledgement (ACK) comes back the circle changes direction indicating that your browser is waiting on the web page to be served up.
lol, I have NO idea what that means...
The delay appears to be before the site sends the ACK back to acknowledge the received packet.
WTF?
Same thing with me with the lags, ugh…
Yes, it is. The lag is odd. The hesitation seems to begin BEFORE the link you've requested even begins to load. It seems as if nothing's happening at all, and then the bar that shows its loading begins to move.
I noticed that a couple of times this morning. Frustrating.
Its a chat site. Its for entertainment. If your worried about losing something screen shot it.
It probably says somewhere in the T&Cs that they make best efforts to ensure integrity. You want gurantees, call your bank.
Oooohhhhhh-kaaaayyyyyy.
It's all about integrity of a system
LOLOLOL!! Sadly, it does not.
Hard copies are intrinsically safer
My God. Hard copies?? There've never been hard copies of what's posted at IHub. I hate to think how many forests would have been senselessly killed. Not to mention the storage space wasted.
