Neoware Systems Agrees to Buy TeleVideo Thin Client Business Assets for $5M, Plus Incentives
KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. (AP) -- Software and computer services company Neoware Systems Inc.(NASDAQ: NWRE) reported Wednesday that it agreed to acquire TeleVideo Inc.'s thin client computer business for $5 million in cash plus potential performance incentives.
Thin client computers are units that usually lack internal disk drives and must be hooked up to a network to function.
The acquisition, which is expected to close in March, is subject to regulatory approval.
Additionally, Neoware will become Televideo's exclusive distributor immediately. TeleVideo will also serve as Neoware's sales agent in Korea.
Neoware shares fell 5 cents to $8.32 in morning trading on the Nasdaq.
