What is Twitter?
Twitter is a privately funded startup with offices in the SoMA neighborhood of San Francisco, CA. Started as a side project in March of 2006, Twitter has grown into a real-time short messaging service that works over multiple networks and devices.
In countries all around the world, people follow the sources most relevant to them and access information via Twitter as it happens—from breaking world news to updates from friends. See what people are doing right now.
Tweeting Rules:
1. Board is about stocks period (no off topic chat allowed).

Don't be Ashamed to Admit that you Twitter at iHUB. We Still Love You.
Have you heard about StockTwits?... It's the Twitter just for Stock Market traders...
http://stocktwits.com/streams/all There are thousands of members posting their trades in real-time and posting the latest news...New posts show up every second or so when the market is open, so it is one BUSY site...
You can see what the most popular stocks are for the day in the right column, and if you click on the ticker for any of them it will bring up a list of all the posts made for that stock...
You can reply to a post by another member by clicking on their alias in a post they've made, and they can reply to you the same way...
There are features like the Top Ticker Cloud, a list of recommended StockTwitters that are popular, a list of the top ten talkers of the day, and the Stock Twits Video Channel that I just noticed for the first time today so I can't say much about that feature...
Every post you make on StockTwits will also show up on your Twitter profile for all of your followers to see...
It's very important when posting on Stock Twits that you add two dollar signs
$$ somewhere in your post if you don't mention a ticker symbol or your post will not show up on StockTwitter...You can either put the $$ at the beginning or the end of your post...If you forget to add the $$ to your posts that are about news of the general market, they will still show up in your Twitter profile...
If your post is about a particular stock, you must put a dollar sign before the ticker symbol or your post won't show up on StockTwits but it will show up in your Twitter profile...So if you're posting about Amazon, you should have this in your post somewhere:
$AMZN I really liked this site when I first found it, but it moves a bit too fast for my tastes...But for many people, it's just what they're looking for...IHUB has always been my favorite place to post my thoughts, but I just thought I'd mention it here for everyone to give StockTwits a test drive...Everyone has different tastes, and StockTwits might just be right up your alley if you know what I mean...
Enjoy!
