As in Joe money????
did you hear about the king who wanted to defend his honor?
Well, two kingdoms were at war for years and years. Time passed and neither king could remember why they were fighting.
One day, one of the kings approached the other and said- Good Sir, Why do we fight? The other king replied, Good Sir, I do nor know.
So, they discussed at length what to do, and finally agreed to marry their children, thus bringing peace to the land.
Their was a great celibration after the wedding, and all the people were happy.
But, the kings really didn't trust each other, since they could not remember what started the conflict in the first place. So, they sent spies to see if the marriage was consumated.
The next morning the the spies reported to the kings. The kings asked what happened after the celebration.
Well, the spies reported the following-
First the maiden stated to the prince- "I offer you my honor"
The prince then stated- "I honor your offer"
And that is how it went the rest of the night- on her, off her, on her , off her.
LMAO- Geez, you cold hearted so and so- throw the coin into the pool- Forest Gump will pay you later- in shrimp
i've yet to here any news bout' my beer money, and nooow iii'm sstart'n to geeet the ssshakes. iiii hope yaaa'll b happppy
Well, hanging around places like this surely aren't helping you any!!!
I would defend my honor and good name, but I have neither.
Hey how about giving me money simply because I'm asking, and because this is a beggar's board?
No specific plan for repayment, no specific plan for use. But I could sure use some.
:):):):)
Really?? Is my grotto still in existence? It's about as superfluous as one can get!
aha.. I'm surprised that this board is still up. Matt had a purge the superfluous boards day today LOL
Phil??? Bullrider??? ??? wow .. who knew
I believe he also plays with the Philharmonic. BTW, can you guess his real name?
no doubt a philandering philanthropist
weakhand......so, if I understand you correctly, you wish to take my cash, buy garbage stocks(which you admit you've got a history of poor decisions in), offer no collateral, disregard the wishes of your wife who is against such purchases, base your research on reading penny stock boards and hope to pay me back at a fairly low return rate based on your risks on something that I could do myself if I were equally stupid and naive???
Hmmmmmmmm, as intriguing as it sounds, I'm going to pass at this time without further information to base my decision on. However, there is another poster on these boards who is known to be a sucker to a good underdog story such as yours. I would advise you seek him out and offer him the possibility for such an investment. His alias.......lownumba. I understand he is incredibly wealthy and a philanthropist(or philanderer....can't remember which?) at heart.
Dear fung_derf,
My dazzling reply! Sorry for delay.
My plan is BB stocks, primarily using other, obviously more experienced and successful, posters' ideas for intraday and short-term buys and sells. About the ONLY thing I seem to be good at is picking good shorts but I've had to dip into my investment cash recently and dropped below broker's $2K requirement, so I'm attempting to s-l-o-w-l-y increase my $500 to that point.
My previous approx. $30K (which was my cumulative total lost- at most at one time I had 4 to 5K to work with) was lost through massive inexperience (altho in my defense I read like crazy & therefore assumed I was almost a pro <g>), like when about my 2nd or 3rd option (oh yes) play made me $730 in two or three days, which only added to my belief that this shit is easy!!!! (btw, I no longer touch options)
This time I'm going to make it, one way or another!
Sorry for length of post- I appreciate your question!
SB
OK, I'm listening. I'd probably be better served giving money to you than this chump! He hasn't even come back to explain his great plan.
He's going to invest in the copyright to soft-porn pics and then have a pay-per-view (by donation, of course) iBox. Hmmm, hey Derf, I've got a money making idea for you.
How about giving us an idea of what you plan to use the money for? What's your past history like? What did you do with your previous investment dollars.
Dazzle me.
Don't eat any happy faced yellow snow....
:o)
damn, and I already sent the dough
still.. funnyish
lol, reminds me of a joke about schlitz (but i can't tell it)
I'm willing to lend you the beer, but how do I know you won't piss it away??
my wife refuses to buy me my weekly case of beer, she says i drink too much and besides its getting to be very expensive. i suggested she get some part time work, but by the way she looked at me, i don't beleive this is a viable option. i implore to this board, please help me. i like Busch beer and you can make the checks out to matt, c/o sparticus.
ps, could you also include a ihub membership.
TIA
Hi OU, small world :)
Dear Folks,
Am changing this board's name to "Shamefaced BeggAr's Board"
after the cold slap of reality in the face! Please accept my
apologies to all. I realize now that I need to "hoe my own row"
regarding acquiring funds for investing.
(Exit shot of SB slinking away into the night....)
Yours,
weakhandnomore

Before I lend you $100, what can you tell me to make me think you won't lose it?
"hidden (and not so hidden) agendas, usually involving attempts to remove hard-earned dollars from our wallets and purses."
No offense, but some may view you as having the same agenda.
dickhead...the word is BEGGAR.

Excuse me...are you DALLAS by any chance and haven't we done this dance before?
Shameless beg part 2:
Details: I am a fulltime licensed dispensing optician, since 1978, going into my 18th year at my present job. Am 51, have hit the pay ceiling while living costs have crept up. My wife, who is legally blind, has been a telephone operator/ information specialist at the same employer for 16 years full time. We live frugally but are still able to put back only $50 to $100 a month for investing and still have about 2 years at this rate 'til we can begin investing.
I have been in the school of hard knocks investing dribs and drabs and occasional small windfalls since the early '90s and have pissed away about $30,000 in the process. We need a chance to do it the right way- no margin (except for the necessity of having a margin account to enable me to short stocks when opportunities arise, but still no transactions over my cash limit), and short-term trades (intraday to 1-2 weeks max) only, taking small gains as I can.
Please help. I can email you back a signed promissory note for you to sign and mail with your investment in my future for those of you interested.
Thanks again from the bottom of my heart!

Dear Folks,
Hello to all! I stumbled onto this enjoyable site recently and find it a breath of fresh air amidst all the sites and groups with their hidden (and not so hidden) agendas, usually involving attempts to remove hard-earned dollars from our wallets and purses.
I come to you with a proposal (a "plea" as in begging is probably more accurate): I would like to find about twenty open-minded individuals, who still remember their early struggles with stock investing and who would love that warm glow that comes from helping another human being, each willing to lend me $100 for about four months, with a promise to return $120 to each for your time and trouble.
Briefly, I'm trying to raise $2000 to add to my $500 to allow me enough working capital to invest in stocks and get myself once and for all in a financially secure position.
My next post will go into detail for those of you not ROFL and willing to help.
Thanks sincerely,
weakhandnomore
