R. Michael Lagow, President

Mr. Lagow has over thirty-three (33) years of experience in the security controls industry, specializing in marketing security systems integration technologies and security staffing services for the past twenty-three (23) years. Mr. Lagow has built several nationally recognized security companies during his career to include SYSTEMSgroup and its operating subsidiaries, SGI Protective Services, SYSTEMSgroup Protective Services, Silver Star Protective Services, SEARCHglobal Corporation, Acquient Security Consulting, Inc. (ASC) and Acquient Systems Technologies. He is the Vice-Chairman, CEO and a Board Director to Acquient's parent company, Safeguard Security Holdings, Inc., headquartered in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Lagow is active within all companies of Safeguard, spearheading their operations and marketing strategies. Prior to joining Safeguard, Acquient's parent company, Mr. Lagow founded SYSTEMSgroup, Inc. in 2002, serving as its CEO and President for three (3) consecutive years. In 2005, Mr. Lagow sold SYSTEMSgroup to Safeguard, and assumed the role as CEO and Executive Board Member. He currently servces as CEO, Vice-Chairman and Director to Safeguard Security Holdings, Inc., now the financial holding company to SYSTEMSgroup and also serves as President to each operating business unit under Safeguard, including Acquient Systems Technologies. Prior to Safeguard's SYSTEMSgroup he served as Executive Vice President for Stratesec Incorporated (formerly Securacom Incorporated), which implemented some of the nation's largest and most significant security systems world-wide. These systems included New York City's World Trade Center, TVA Nuclear Power Facilities (Watts Bar, Sequoyah, and Browns Ferry), American Express Company, AMTRAK and Moscow Telehone. He also participated in the overall design and implementation of security services for Dullas Interantaional, Washington Reagan International and Pheonix Sky Harbor airports. Mr. Lagow founded Stratesec's Dallas, Texas headquarters and built one of the largest divisions in that company's history employing some of the security industry's most prominent talent. Mr. Lagow also served as Vice President for Network Security Corporation, a publicly traded security company. He held the position of Vice President - National Sales, for Control Systems International (CSI), a privately held security and building controls company that was acquired by TAC of Europe in the year 2000. While serving at CSI, Mr. Lagow assisted his team in the design and implementation of security and life-safety systems for Rockerfeller Center NYC, NBC Studios, and the prion systems at British Columbia Buildings Corporation (BCBC) of Canada.

 

Barry A. Banks, Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Banks is the Chief Operating Officer for Safeguard Security Holdings, Inc., Acquient's parent company. In his corporate role, Mr. Banks is responsible for oversight of all facets (sales, operations, service) of the businesses under the Safeguard Security Holdings banner, including Acquient and its operating divisions. Mr. Banks reports directly to the Safeguard's CEO, and is responsible for fine tuning all operations of each division and subsidiary for maximum efficiency and profitability. His management experiences over the past three (3) decades ensures the profitable growth of all the Safeguard companies. And as these companies grow, Mr. Banks' financial expertise (including P/L overview) will protect the profitability and steady growth of the business units while ensuring that our client services are the best available in the vast security marketplace.

Clients that Mr. Banks has been directly involved with include Cisco, Hewlett-Packard, Compaq, American Management Systems, Alcatel, Level-3, NASA, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), USAA, GEICO, Capital One, US Department of Health and Human Services, Dell Computers and Frito-Lay.

Most recently Mr. Banks worked directly for the president of the Public Safety and Security division of the second largest independent security contractor in the United States, developing and strengthening strategic relationships, analyzing and determining best direction for business expansion and identifying and performing due diligence and audit review on potential acquisitions.

Mr. Banks has been in the security business for over thirty four (34) years. During that time, he has been involved with several of the top integration companies in the nation with emphasis on commercial vertical markets such as finance, banking, government, healthcare, transportation and universities. By way of example, Mr. Banks was a co-founder, Chief Operating Officer and member of the Board of Directors for a national security integration company with revenues in excess of $52 million, with 250 employees and twelve (12) offices throughout the United States.

 

Sean Finegan, Vice Pesident, Business Development

Mr. Finegan brings over thirty (30) years of experience in all phases of the security industry to Acquient. As Vice President, Business Development, Mr. Finegan supports all companies under Acquient's parent company, Safeguard Security Holdings, Inc. Mr. Finegan manages all sales and product lines for the company. He works to improve overall profit margins while inceasing sales revenue to all divisions of the company, utilizing his expertise for product positioning, ensuring sales performance and production, includig our SVAR channels. He has a wealth of knowledge and skill with his tenure in the industry. He is known as an industry leader internnationally. His long-term relationships afford him the abilty to create teaming agreements / partnerships with other likewise companies to support Acquient's globally. Additionally, Mr. Finegan is adept at assembling successful sales and operations teams to bring our clients "best in class" service.

Mr. Finegan has earned his reputation over the years having successfully secured commericial clients like Microsoft, Micron Technologies and AT&T Wireless. His governmental and municipal successes include many Texas municipal school districts, Irving Convention Center and Texas Women's University. Additionally, he has secured over twenty-six (26) major airports in the United States and Canada.

Mr. Finegan received his Master's degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Houston after receiving his Bachelor's degree in Science Clinical Psychology from Norh Texas State University. Also, he received a certificate for completing the Management Training Program from the University of Alabama.

 

Randy Martin, Vice President, Program Management

As a senior member of Acquient, Mr. Martin is presently assigned to one of our largest utility clients on assignment as an advisor on program management for special/critical projects at the direction of Corporate Security. In this capacity, Mr. Martin serves as the Quality Control Officer for entire security operation dedicated to providing services with a focus on ensuring standardization of processes across the operation at all levels. He acts as a contributing member of the security management team and participates in continuous strategy development programs. Mr. Martin periodically reviews operational processes to ensure they are in congruence with "best in class" industry standards and that the processes are meeting the ever changing needs of the client. He is responsible for ensuring consistency of Service Level Agreements under contract with respective client's clientele. He serves as a dedicated liaison between client and electronic security services vendors to address electronic security needs of client service locations or other client properties as directed by Corporate Security. He also develops and maintains tracking reports of specific security related costs and with such data, provides financial impact forecasting to Corporate Security.

Prior to joining Acquient, Mr. Martin held several positions at Nokia, Inc. including Head of Security for North America. While serving for Nokia, Inc., Mr. Martin spearheaded all security staffing operations in North America, as well as overseeing their security technology group, securing all aspects of Nokia's facilities to include their manufacturing, warehousing, adminitrative offices, executive quarters and office buildings throughout North America, including the Nokia campus in Irving, Texas. Mr. Martin has extensive experience in security and loss prevention throughout his career with major fortune 500 companies to include MJ Designs and Standard Oil Production Company. He also served as Chief of Police in Southlake, Texas.

Mr. Martin received his Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Texas Christian University. He is certified by the state of Texas as a commissioned security officer and certified Level III CHS-III from Homeland Security. He has successfully completed the Management Action Program (MAP) through Nokia, Inc. and the Interview and Interrogation Techniques program from Wicklander - Zulawski & Associates. He is a member in good standing of the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS).

Max W. Cook, P.E., Vice President, Engineering

Mr. Cook has a diverse background in security consulting, security systems engineering, manufacturing, and management in the electronic industry, specifically in the electronic security field. Currently his major thrust is consulting and providing installation project management overview for clients. Mr. Cook develops the electronic security design concepts for his client's projects and provides the related security drawings and specifications to support the client's needs. Services are provided directly to end users and to architectural and engineering firms in support of their projects.

Over the past thirty-eight (38) years Mr. Cook has been involved in many areas of the security industry as an independent consultant/designer and as an employee in the design and implementation of complex integrated systems that included access control systems using both card and biometric technologies, CCTV systems utilizing analog, digital and IP recording, various sensing and detection devices, design and implementation of monitoring and control centers, the integration of PLC devices within systems, and the design and manufacturing of security control systems and associated equipment.

Mr. Cook is currently involved in establishing consulting and installation teams for various projects that exceed the stand-alone capabilities of Acquient Security Consultants and Acquient Systems Technologies.

Over the last few years, Mr. Cook has been actively involved in projects for the United States Post Office in Little Rock, The University of Texas at Tyler with Sterling Barnett Little, Inc., and Dallas Central Waste Water Treatment Plant with Carollo Engineers. Additionally he is contracted by the City of Dallas for the Dallas Heritage Village fire and security system, and the Dallas City Hall security upgrade. Other projects include The University of Texas at San Antonio, Northwestern Mutual Insurance in Milwaukee, Mary Kay, City of Dallas City Hall project, the Julia Street Cruise Terminal in New Orleans, Louisiana Off Shore Oil Production (LOOP), the Port of Houston Cruise Terminal, Amon Carter Museum, The McNay Museum of Art, The Dallas Museum of Art, The San Antonio Museum of Art, MCI, Trammell Crow Company, Electronic Data Systems (EDS), Southwestern Financial, Frito-Lay, United Airlines at Indianapolis, American University, AT&T, AMTRAK, DoD Biometrics Fusion Laboratory, SPAWAR and many others.

Raymond Navarro, Vice President, Market Development

For almost thirty (30) years Mr. Navarro has delivered "best in class" service in the electronic security industry, primarily in senior sales and management roles. At various times Mr. Navarro has been requested to start a new and/or streamline an existing sales operation in need of an infusion of leadership and discipline. In both, he was able to exhibit his management skills in an entrepreneurial environment, while doubling sales revenue in each division.

Mr. Navarro proudly served for four (4) years active duty and two (2) years in the reserves of the US Marine Corp and was honorably discharged in 1984. During his active service, Mr. Navarro attended college at LA Metro College in Japan.

Mr. Navarro has earned this reputation over the years having successfully secured commercial clients like American Airlines, Mary Kay, EDS, Kimball Art Museum, Oxy Chemical and the Federal Reserve Bank in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Navarro has also played a key role in the design and installation of the US Customs Command and Control System at DFW International Airport - Terminal A, providing over two hundred (200+) cameras and more than thirty (30+) card access control devices for the secured US Customs areas and gates serving the international terminal. Mr. Navarro has also provided design and installation services for a number of Department of Homeland Security ICE facilities in Dallas, TX and Irving, TX. His experience has also allowed him to play a key role in the security design and installation of the National Archives and Records Administration facility in Fort Worth Texas, one (1) of only twelve (12) such facilities in the nation. Mr. Navarro has played a significant role in the security planning and design for the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Northwest Rails Operations Facility (NWROF). The DART NWROF site was a Departmnet of Homeland Security (DHS) funded "high security" installation protecting DART operations and critical infrastructure. He also provided overall security design and support for the DFW Airport's North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) "tolltag" RFID system integration and installation. Mr. Navarro's governmental and municipal successes include providing electronic security systems and dsigns for airports in Los Angeles and Seattle as well. 

Mr. Navarro is nationally recognized as an industry leader and has spearheaded security applications for all types of businesses throughout the United States. He is a key executive with Acquient's parent company Safeguard, providing systems sales and expertise for Safeguard's Products and Services Goup and is chartered with expanding sales across all divsions of the company including its security staffing, investigative operations and its armor and ballistic products division.

 

Brian LaBad, Director, Operations

As a senior member of the Acquient Systems Technologies (AST) Team, Mr. LaBad is responsible for ensuring the proper project continuity between all sub-consultants and ensuring that the communications path with the Client remains solid throughout the life of the project. Our history has shown that by managing these major aspects of the project, we can ensure the complete satisfaction of our clients. In addition to managing major projects for AST, Mr. LaBad provides design assistance, proposal support and subject matter expertise to all the members of the AST Team nationwide.

Mr. LaBad has spent twenty five (25) years in the low voltage security, fire alarm/life safety, closed circuit television systems and burglar alarm/access control industry. Mr. LaBad has spent the last seventeen (17) years in management in different positions. Notably, he had spent seven (7) years with one of the largest security integrators in the nation elevating to the position of National Accounts Service Manager responsible for the Service and Installation related activities for National Account customers such as Sprint and 7-Eleven. He has also served as General Manager, Vice President of Operations a large regional systems integrator managing the Houston, San Antonio, Denver and Austin branches. He also served as president of the detention division of that same regional company, running the security electronics detention group.

Most recently, Mr. LaBad has coordinated installations for TXDOT Brownwood facility, Cortrans (for the Department of Health and Human Services). As well as coordinating installations for Grocery Supply Company in Sulphur Springs and Uplift Education. In the past in other capacities Mr. LaBad has worked on very large multi-million dollar projects such as Dallas County South Tower Jail, Lubbock County Detention Center, Pitt County Detention Center, Boeing, Sprint, 7-Eleven, ADVO, Cabela's, Lockheed Missiles and Space Company, Kaiser Permanente Hospitals, San Jose East Side Union High School District, and Stanford University to name a few. Mr. LaBad's operational experience spans all types of systems from large Halon 1301 projects to Fire Alarm and Voice Evacuation Systems to Mass Notification Systems to very large Access Control and integrated CCTV projects.

Mr. LaBad started in the security industry after a five (5) year enlistment in the US Navy as an Aircraft Mechanic and then participating in the 2nd Mechanic Flight Engineer Program. Mr. LaBad has completed Flight Engineering Training in the US Navy.

Mr. LaBad has completed and carries certification in Management Leadership Courses as well as certification as Six Sigma (Green Belt) and has been a participant in the SGE Leaders Forum. Being selected to this program was a very high achievement. Mr. LaBad represented 1 out of 15 nominees in his business unit of approximately 30,000 employees.

Mr. LaBad is also a licensed commissioned security officer in the state of Texas.


Casey Finegan, Senior Account Specialist

Casey Finegan has been in the security industry for over thirteen years and is charged with providing key Acquient Systems Technologies clients with state-of-the-industry security solutions as well as outstanding customer service. Early in his career, Mr. Finegan held the position of senior technical support for a manufacture of access control systems. He moved to the audio/visual side of the business and held positions that included technician to project manager for a large, regional A/V company. Mr. Finegan moved to the security integration side of the business when he joined one of the largest regional security integrators in the southwest as a project manager and senior global project manager.

Mr. Finegan moved to Systems Group where he held the role of non-commissioned and commissioned officer while at the same time operating as a senior global project manager for the technology side of the business. Before returning in mid-2011 to the Safeguard Security Holdings, Inc. family (Acquient Systems Technologies), Mr. Finegan worked for a nationally based security manufacturer and integrator. He has experience working with government agencies as well as small to large corporations in every position he has been employed within the security industry. Such agencies and companies include Department of Defense, Homeland Security, US Marshals, Pennsylvania and Connecticut corrections institutes, Nokia, Paychex, Sky Chefs, Digital Reality Trust, ExxonMobil, and Charles Schwab.

Mr. Finegan has studied networking and telecommunications at Devry University of Dallas. Mr. Finegan holds multiple certifications, (GE, Software House, Hirsch, Receptors, CFATS, Aiphone, ONSSI, Costar, and Sielox) and has extensive field knowledge in a wide variety of access control, surveillance, audio visual, and networking systems.

Ken Adair, Service Coordinator, Small Projects

As a long standing, seven (7) year senior member of the electronic systems integration team, Ken Adair is responsible for ensuring the complete satisfaction of our clients by exceeding their electronic security service requirements. He is assigned to our most significant enterprise-wide accounts including some of our major energy providers, such as TXU Energy, Oncor, and Luminant. Additionally, Mr. Adair also provides his service expertise to Texas Department of Transportation (TXDot) throughout north, west and central Texas. Mr. Adair is also the systems administrator and point of contact in our corporate operations for IT, fire alarm, and the electronic security systems, including support to our in-house control and video monitoring center. He works closely with our IT support group, CCS Horizon, our certified Microsoft Partner, Certificate #2350824. Acquient has partnered with CCS Horizon for the past five (5) years serving our Microsoft clients. Mr. Adair is also responsible for managing all adds, changes, deletes and small equipment relocations for the two (2) technology divisions.

Mr. Adair provides over twenty-five (25) years of experience in fire and security systems in our technical divisions for both Acquient and SYSTEMSgroup. He schedules and inspects/commissions installations and service installs, and provides additional over-sight and project management services and is certified by the state of Texas as a certified alarm installer for over fifteen (15) years.

Mr. Adair has attended ATI trade school completing courses in Radio and Television Electronics. He is also certified in courses on Sonitrol Advantage Plus, Andover Continuum, Infographics Diamond One series, AMAG 350,450,550 series, NiceVision (Ver. 6), and SoftwareHouse Istar Pro series.

Robert Kirk, Senior Project Manager, Special Projects

As a senior member of Acquient Systems Technologies, Mr. Kirk is responsible for the operation and manufacturing group of the armor division, Safeguard Armor Solutions. Safeguard's armor division manufactures bullet resistant glass, armored vehicles and light weight composite armor. Acquiet Systems Technologies sells and markets armor products and services to its clients. Our "No Soft Spot" philosophy provides our clients with the highest levels of ballistic protection. Maintaining quality control and strict timelines are paramount responsibilities. By managing these major aspects of the project, we can ensure the complete satisfaction and safety of our clients.

Mr. Kirk has spent seven (7) years as a Director of Operations and ten (10) years as a team leader in the secure executive transportation industry. His career has included projects with U.S. Department of State, major U.S. oil companies, local law enforcement and private security companies.

Most recently, Mr. Kirk was the Project Manager for development, design, field testing and deployment of light weight composite armor systems. These armor system designs protect against Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) and Explosively Formed Projectiles (EFP). This project was in response to the need of the U.S. Government's Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization (JIEDDO). Working closely with the U.S. Army these armor systems were tested at Tank Automotive Research Development Engineering Command (TARDEC), Army Research Lab (ARL), Nevada Automotive Test Center (NATC) and Southwest Research Institute (SWRI).

Mr. Kirk offers twenty (20+) plus years of experience in ballistic protection and personnel security for a wide variety client needs. With a number of significant clients/projects located throughout the world including Afghanistan, Iraq, Nigeria, and Mexico.
