~Business description summary...
For the past 20 years, SOYO has been best known as a manufacturer and designer of
motherboards. Our line of high-performance DRAGON® single-processor boards
support both the Intel® and AMD® platforms. Our products were award winning and
cutting edge, and the technical consumers sought our line out. During this time, SOYO
sold its products through an extensive network of authorized distributors, resellers,
system integrators, VARs, retailers, mail-order catalogs and e-tailers, including
Warmart.com, eCost.com, Fry’s Electronics, PC Mall, D&H, PC connection, Shop at
Home, and Samtack, among others. To this day, our ISA Motherboards are still installed
in many performance machines, as well as slot machines, small desktops and in the
robotic manufacturing industry. As the price of computers continued to drop, so did the
amount that could be charged for the components that drive the PC. Motherboards
became a commodity, and SOYO had to change directions.
SOYO began the transition into LCD and Computer Accessories in 2005. As the demand
for LCD products increased; we have seen that division of our business move to the
forefront of our product offerings. We have also phased out our rebate program, and we
will switch to bundling and value added concepts. Our current product mix is comprised
of LCD TV’s, LCD Monitors, Portable Storage Devices, Bluetooth Products, Home
Theatre Furniture and HD Accessories (which includes Dragon HDMI cables and wall
mounts). In 2007, we signed a licensing agreement with Honeywell Intellectual
Properties Inc. According to the agreement, we will create and market consumer
electronics products under the Honeywell Brand, as well as build the Honeywell
Consumer Electronics Division. Currently, our products can be found in retail stores such
as: OfficeMax, Wal-Mart Canada, American TV, Rex TV, BDI Laguna, Bell Micro-Latin
America, Sixth Avenue Electronics and Star Computer Group.
In 2007, SOYO plans to release a line of Honeywell USB Hard Drives in at 1.8 inch
format. The drives will be 80GB and 100 GB capacities, and will feature a metal alloy
case, which eliminates heat and adds shock resistance. The Hard Drives will also offer
password protected technology to keep your content protected.
In 2007, we plan to release a line of Honeywell Monitors. The line will initially include
19, 22 and 24 inch wide-screen monitors. The monitors will have four ranges of motion:
tilt, swivel, rotate and height adjustment. The 19 inch monitor will also feature four
independent USB ports, and the 22 and 24 inch monitors will feature three independent
USB ports as well as a built in webcam and built in microphone. These will be Tier 1
monitors that will compete with Samsung, Dell, and Gateway, and will be offered at the
enterprise level, large office chains, and some of our current channels.
Honeywell LCD HDTV’s
In 2008, we will release a line of Honeywell LCD full 1080P HDTV’s including 42, 47,
57, 65, 70 and 82 inch models. They will have multiple HDMI, 1080P, and will be
designed to compete with LG, Samsung and Sony, with similar technology and a better
price tag. We will target the big box retailers with this product on a selective rollout.
While the Honeywell brand will be a part of 2007, we expect 2008 to be where we
introduce more of the Honeywell CE lines. We look forward to communicating and
sharing with you these plans as they further develop.
