Sen. John Barrasso
“Coal is more than just a power source. Carbon from coal can be used in products as diverse as water filters, automobile bodies, bikes, & building products. Our bipartisan coal to products bill will encourage investment & create new jobs across the country.”

-Barrasso Coal, Uranium Legislation Headed To President’s Desk-
“Wyoming energy scored two big wins today. Bipartisan legislation to promote new and innovative ways to use coal and help boost Wyoming’s uranium production is headed to the president’s desk..
..On Dec. 12, 2019, Barrasso along with Senators Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) and Joe Manchin (D-WV) introduced S. 3047, the Creating Opportunities And Leveraging Technologies for Coal Carbon Act, or COAL TeCC Act, to advance research and promote coal-derived carbon products. Some of these coal products include carbon fiber, graphite and carbon foam. The FY21 Omnibus contains key language contained in the COAL TeCC Act. The bill directs DOE to establish a 2-year pilot program, one in each of the two major coal producing regions of the United States. The pilot programs are meant to help coal-derived carbon products reach the commercialization phase.”

METC Detailed Quote
Anyone know who's patents are involved here?
Links?
Copies etc?
Thank you!
SHERIDAN-BASED CARBON TECH FIRM PARTNERS WITH DOE LAB ON COAL-CONVERSION PROJECTS

-Ramaco Carbon announces supervisor for Wyoming, West Virginia operations-
Sounds intriguing. I've put you and them on my follow lists. :)
Essentially that's correct.
They are converting low heat (8800 BTU) coal into a more efficient/cleaner burning feedstock, while extracting chemical byproducts and rare earths.
At least that's the plan..
Many of their talking points mirror METC's.
Interesting. So essentially they will transform basic heating coal into a more usable and efficient fuel source?
CCTC is correct. CCTI is an abbreviation for Clean Coal Technologies, Inc.
I should have been more clear.
Ramaco believes coal is too valuable to burn.
As does CCTI
I think there's much more to the story than met coal prices.
Here's a look at last Septembers presentation:
https://content.equisolve.net/_c85b0942cfb659521ef814d97efe5de1/cleancoaltechnologiesinc/db/184/443/pdf/CCTI+Presentation+Sep+2019.pdf
I'm not familiar with that technology. From my cursory study, Ramaco and American Resource Corp are basically mining companies that specialize in metallurgical coal. I know they are both focused on Met Coal A and B, and PCI.
From the financials, it's clear that METC is further along in their marketing and business plan as their average price (selling) per ton was over $110 per ton, while AREC still had a mixture of regular coal and their average was less-- in the $80s to $90s (not certain without looking it up).
All FWIW.
Is CCTI a public company? I couldn't see bid/ask. From your description, maybe the acronym is CCTC?
https://www.cleancoaltechnologiesinc.com/about-us/overview/
Thanks for your reply.
CCTI owns a suite of Patented technologies related to coal benefication and extraction methods.
Their partnership with University of Wyoming, along with a powerhouse board of directors, should propel this forward once NETL/DOE reviews take place.
Expected Q1 2020
Any idea what patents are involved in METC's ability to extract byproducts and manufacture etc? I believe UW secured a coal to carbon fiber patent utilizing CCTI's technology partnership.
Hey. Not sure about CCTC, but both Ramaco and AREC focus on the metallurgical coal part of the market.
AREC seems to have a cash flow problem. But I'm hoping they'll produce even half of their 2020 projections
So what do you think the connection between METC, AREC and CCTC are?
Any?
METC has a little sister... AREC.

Nice! Ramaco and CCTC go hand in hand.
From what I can tell..
METC is at the forefront of coal based technologies.
Synthetic fuels and chemical byproducts are the "Focus of the future ".
Good luck!
Happy to be the second post. I'm surprised it took so long for this board to be created.
Realized gains from METC last year paid for Christmas, including my new C7 OLED.
Congratulations on this NEW board. I am honored to be the FIRST poster! GLTA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
