Nice little bump at the end of day today though. Hopefully news of bigger contacts to come.
The markets weren't open today ernie,
Gosh.
LOL.
Just checking in on QMCI. GLTA. EOM.
bobbo: I would vote for a $1.00 per share offer. If I remember right during the 4'th qtr 2022 conference call DS said they were busier than ever and sending out replies to bid requests almost every day. Signing a few more big deals soon would make $1.00 per share, or more, a very real possibility.
I agree about the 7% owner, Michael H. Giles with Harland Group. It looks as though he owns Fintech companies and has been involved in this business for quite some time. Whether he's looking to buy Quotemedia or just sees the good investment only time will tell. If it's a buyout, I really hope we don't see under $1.00 a share.
Conference call has been posted to the QMCI website.
The call was very low key. No surprises. The usual talk of a brighter future that just seems to never get here. Only one question asked.
I'm convinced the most interesting thing about the future is the owner of ~7% of the company!
Over a million shares just traded. Hopefully a sign for good things to come.
Did you catch the earnings call on Monday? I'm waiting for the replay to show up on their website.
11%???????
Not the number I was expecting! see what they have to say Monday.
Just checking in on QMCI. GLTA. EOM.
Thanks for the update aaab.
I think the 13d is filed by the shareholder, so the company doesn't need to include it in the 10K.
We have a whale here for several years that is/was holding around 8-9M shares if I remember correctly and those were never listed in the previous 10Ks either.
He accumulated them over several years, not in two big blocks on a single day.
Wait and see I guess.
Thanks again and GLTU.
IMO and FWIW.
Reaper and Bobo - nothing really new from the Q & A session. Usual questions, usual answers. Nothing was said about the huge white elephant in the room! Personally, I don't think anything will be said until after some kind of a LOI is signed. There is no way Mr. Giles spent that much to be a passive investor. On a side note, it seems the 13D in Dec may not have been necessary. There is no mention of any 5% shareholders in the annual.
Some of the highlights:
Margins should continue to improve to ~53%
2022 revenue didn't include much from 2'nd bank deal.
They are busier than they have ever been responding to requests for proposals.
Hey there bobbo5, if there is a Q&A session on the conference call, maybe you could ask about Michael Giles, who spent $1,200,000 to grab some QMCI shares on the open market recently.
It would be interesting to know if Jack Dorsey, former CEO Twitter (FKA TWTR now owned by Elon Musk) and current CEO of Square NYSE:SQ, maintains any kind of working relationship with Michael Giles.
Something seems to be happening here with QMCI.
GLTA, IMO and FWIW.
No real surprise in the 10k. I'll be interested in what DS had to say on the conference call
See QuoteMedia.com for 2022 Annual Report.
Rather quiet here. Where is the earnings report? I was pleased to see they gained SOC2 type 2 certification, DS had been talking about it for quite some time.
I am convinced that someone in Fountain Hills walks around with a list of shareholders willing to sell, while someone in Vancouver walks around with a list of shareholders wanting to add to their position. Then maybe every couple of weeks they compare lists to see who they can accommodate.
On a different note - still watching for some news regarding the plans of QMCI's new 7% owner.
Agreed supervalue. GLTU, EOM.
I wonder if Jack Dorsey, CEO of Square NYSE:SQ, maintains any kind of working relationship with Michael Giles, who just spent $1.2M to grab some QMCI shares.
QMCI already has several big clients like E-trade, Morgan Stanley and Berkshire Hathaway.
Makes me wonder if we will see more SC-13 filings or an 8K, to provide some insight as to what is happening here.
GLTA, IMO and FWIW.
WOW - QMCI UP 41/2 CENTS In One Day!!!
Is QuoteMedia jumping on the meme stock train?
Reaper - You may have hit the nail on the head.
Interesting times. See where this leads to.
Wish I was watching that day. So the bulk of that volume was in two trades?
I don't understand how buys that big could go through in two blocks.
Even my relatively small buys fill partially over several hours or even days.
1000 here, 1500 there until say a 10,000 share order is filled.
What seller out there would even have a big enough block of shares to sell to meet his buy, except for the family trust that I don't want to name.
I would love to hear any theories from anyone on the topic.
GLTA, IMO and FWIW.
Looks like Mr. Giles is also CEO of Embed Financial Technologies, which was bought by FTX US in 2022.
Now we know bobbo5. Thanks for sharing your observations.
GLTA, IMO and FWIW.
Just doing some quick math here.
6,000,000 QMCI shares purchased on the open market by Michael Giles for $1,200,000, is a VWAP of .20 per share.
.20 should be the new floor here.
Lets see what happens.
GLTA, IMO and FWIW.
Whoa...Michael Giles was the founder and CEO of Third Party Technologies Inc, that was later acquired by Jack Dorsey's Square NYSE:SQ.
Dorsey was the CEO of Twitter FKA NYSE: TWTR, back in the day as well.
Giles spent over $1,200,000 to buy shares of QMCI on the open market in a single day, giving him roughly 6% of the O/S.
Interesting.
Thanks for the post.
GLTA, IMO and FWIW.
What ials up with this stock? I feel like something big is in the works....between the huge share purchase last week and I read the short interest is down significantly. Fill me in!
Thanks for the recap of trading.
I don't pay much attention day to day, so I missed it.
Hope you guys have a Merry Christmas and happy new year.
Stay safe.
From QMCI's own web site:
@ 14:43 3,005,000 shares @ $0.20
@ 15:08 - 2,948,027 shares
68 Trades total for the day Value - $1,232,982.56
I stole this screen shot from Twitter. There were 2 transactions that accounted for almost all the volume.
I don't understand the "transfer" shares part.
It just looks to me like somebody hit the ask driving it higher and then someone else bid whacked their way out, later in the day.
Wasn't watching in real time, so maybe I am missing something.
GLTU, IMO and FWIW.
QMCI:That's what L2 was looking like, yeah
Oops, messed up a word there.
Someone had the *need* to transfer 6mil shares between accounts?...
What are your thoughts reaper?
Sorry bobbo, I don't understand what that means.
Someone had the bed to transfer 6mil shares between accounts
WTF??? Someone had the bed to transfer 6mil shares between accounts... Hopefully this means share price will be moving up with more volume in the new year
QuoteMedia to Present at the Planet MicroCap Showcase: VIRTUAL 2022 tomorrow (Wed.)
DS will present a 30 min. overview of the company. Apparently you have to register at https://planetmicrocapshowcase.com/ to watch the 12:30 presentation.
Personally I'm hoping DS announces he would like to sell the company and for anyone with deep pockets to call him.
Seriously though ernie,
What you are saying doesn't make any sense.
17 used to be the year high----forget when but it was long ago
I remember buying shares under .05 then selling under .10 Fortunately my average cost is still under .12 although I've bought as high as .24 I look forward to the day we see over 1.00, it will come
Gosh ernie, was does that even mean?
Doesn't make any sense.
LOL, IMO and FWIW.
