Last I looked they were totally covering the dividend so I can't see any reason why it would be cut.
A couple more things. This company has almost 6 billion in assets with a 2.8 billion market cap.How could they cut their divy with a 5 % drip in place.I WOULD BE PISSED.
They are still letting this go at a 10% divy.Insiders own more than half this company. They never sell, all they do is reinvest their divy every month at a 5% drip.I see other sites calling this a ponzi scheme.Totally riduculous. This stock should easily be 8 bucks.
PSEC is a solid play in my opinion.
You are rewarded monthly currently .06.
GLTA!

$10 would be nice!!! PPS I think will rebound heading into the ex-dividend date on Thursday.
racman
If you look at the history it should rebound and continue to climb to $10.00 as the PPS in the near future. As well as the dividends it pays off.
GO4AWILDRIDE
PSEC keeps paying 0.06 monthly dividend per share, very nice.
$PSEC
Pays better than my vanguard mutual fund did.. so why not..?
I sold 1500 shares because it dropped to 4.94 after paying an average of $5.25 for this stock. They drove the stock down to steal my shares 6 days or so before the ex dividend date then ran it back up 3 days before or so. So I tryed to short 1500 shares and kept getting rejected by TDAmeratrade. I called them and they told me it’s the most shorted stock and they can’t find any shares for me to short. Unless I have a 100,000 Account and then I would have to pay a interest charge daily on the borrowed shares. Can you beat that shit. I had 5,000 shares and now I have 3500 shares. I’m pissed the playing field is rigged against me. I can’t borrow my own shares.
Hmmmmm. Now what? Their NAV is solid...... PPS Don't get the fall.
I have it also something drove it up last 3 days. I hold a lot of shares it could go lower but for me it's long term holding. Average $5.31 I will add only if it lowers my average. Someone sold a few shares Pre Market this morning @ $5.25. Probably bought back in at this price I would have if I sold.
WTF???? Really? After a small effort in the right direction....correction.
This stock drives me batsh*t crazy!!!
Right now, after divvies, and eq loss...I'm even. Fucking, hate treading water!!! I work to hard at this shit to lose!!!!!
Has your sell order been filled yet?
Fucking POS stock. I have no idea why I hold this mother fucker!!!! It's monthly income is not worth the stress.....or the equity loss!!!
Get out and move on, I say.
Asshole CEO....CFO.....
Change your drapers bitches and get into the 21st century. Idiots. I could do better in my sleep!!!!
PSEC appears to be a portfolio mostly comprised of secured loans. In the 2Q of fiscal 2020, LCD reports secured loans were up 9.7%. MTD in July they are up 1.25%. Logic would hold that NAV will be growing at the end of 2Q.
An Analyst at a Falling Bank Decided to Downgrade PSEC first off it should be illegal for an Analyst who works for Wells Fargo Bank to downgrade another company PSEC who provides loans same as Wells Fargo does. It's called conflict of interest. This is like trying to compete with Amazon they will force you out of business.
The volume with a downturn in PPS concerns me.
I would guess it is this. (But- I did not read it to verify)

Someone likely converted some options and sold enough to pay the taxes.
Normal Vol is around 2M- today was 4M
Accumulated - still at it. Solid performer. Made adjustments from a Corp strategic to minimize risks in market. Smart management. Great div. buying the hell out of it for awhile now and will continue too. The COVID is not going anywhere until vaccine created- I anticipated a drop with PPS- when it appeared market became over panicked - when I saw the PR that they were situated safely - I stomped on gas and took down quite a bit. Adding to my positions. The div is a real good returner compared to price per share - that can be developed into a strong monthly return by investing. I was in before the drop. So I went off on it- hit gas pedal buy buy buy.
I AGREE- I have been adding ever since the downturn- done real well with zero chances I'll be selling not 1 share. Here for long term play on amazing dividend returns. I like the infusion of high cash returns each month and they seem to have played the downturn real well. Real surprised there isn't any activity on this board.
OMG what a steal at $4 anyone with 1/2 Brain knows you follow the CEO CFO COO when they're buying hand over fist you know it's only going up.\
18% DIVVY @$4
Awesome EPS $.19 beats estimate by .05!!! Can we get back to $6 per share now!!!
Nothing to worry about because he has been so Conservative. They have almost as much cash on hand as their total market cap
John F Barry at it again just BOUGHT 10 million freaking shares! Talk about putting your money where you mouth is. He doesn't even have to speak or utter one word. STRONG BUY!

Wow,what a steal. The worse case is they cut the dividend to 0.05.If that happens your still making over 9%.Do not sell!!!!!
Best to buy the dips like I did down to 5.80. When this gets oversold it’s a bargain and a half.
Curious as to what ones you recommend?
Over 10% yield. Strong financials. Funny how it is so overlooked.
Coming into range again will it break the 6's?
I like it better when it’s around 6
This stock is soooo cheap. Earning .88 cents a year and paying 10.5 .Do the math.Better earnins to come.
Mr Barry was at it again bought another 1 million shares this week along with some employees He bought 1 mill @5.87. Bringing his total almost to 38 million shares.
I bought this week too. Great entry love the 12% divvy~ ex-date today.
Dividend is 12% at 6 bucks. .72/6=12 not 14% that's if you got it right at the bottom. Fed funds rate is 2.25% is that too high? Can barely get a cd for 3%.
Anyone here really think they increase NAV and NII enough to cover? What is the basis in light of the YOY decreases historically? Aren't new investors monies after shuffled through the fee funnel supporting the short fall via management buybacks using fee monies? Just asking, when you look at this from a distance before jumping in, it appears highly unsustainable since betting on the come the 14% dividend payout to earnings gap will close anytime soon in light of historicals IMHO, anyone disagree?
I sold it at 7.24 been waiting to get back in.
Never hold this price long...…$6.5 cometh. divvy cut too .05 I'm hedging.
