I have been following this for a while, there has been no news and nothing to retain its shareholders. Why has this not started going down?

There isn't one. They had dividends last year because they sold of part of their insurance company.

"liquadating" no problem if this company sells off pieces,I have tracked footstar company and they keep giving out dividends to the shareholders as they wind down and the payouts in pieces are adding up to more than the whole.Strange but true !

It also appears that they are under state or regulatory control and still looking to liquidate. That could be scary for those who own shares way above current prices, but to me, I think it could mean additional sell offs of assets and subsidiaries and more cash dividends from those sells further down the road.

I don't think so. The dividend comes from the sell of the UIG subsidiary. The others should still be intact, unless I've missed something.

Penn Treaty American Corporation (“Penn Treaty”) is registered and approved as a holding company under the Pennsylvania Insurance Code. Penn Treaty was incorporated in Pennsylvania on May 13, 1965 under the name Greater Keystone Investors, Inc. and changed its name to Penn Treaty American Corporation on March 25, 1987. Our primary business is the sale of long-term care insurance, which we conduct through the following subsidiaries:

•Penn Treaty Network America Insurance Company (“PTNA”) — a Pennsylvania-domiciled insurance company;
•American Network Insurance Company (“ANIC”) — a Pennsylvania-domiciled insurance company; and

all rite now, i tried to gather as much as info i can about this company and its still not clear, is this company gonna be liquadating? which means are we gonna completely lose our original shares and just keep the .15 divident, or are we going to be able to sell our shares once the divident is payed out ? can someone explain this for me if you know something more.
