CHICAGO, June 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Playboy Special Editions fans have crowned Jillian Beyor, 22, their 2008 Model of the Year. Readers chose the Northfield, New Hampshire native from a pool of 50 models who appeared in various Special Editions titles throughout 2007. Jillian grew up on the East Coast and graduated from Winnisquam Regional High School in New Hampshire. Playboy Foundation Announces New $25,000 Freedom of Expression Award
Calls for nominations for Hugh M. Hefner First Amendment Awards
CHICAGO, May 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Building on five decades of defending free speech and American civil liberties, the Playboy Foundation today announced the creation of the new Freedom of Expression Award -- a $25,000 seed grant to fund the work of a noteworthy advocate for the First Amendment.
"The Playboy Foundation's new Freedom of Expression Award is designed to support the work of an exceptional person dedicated to protecting the First Amendment rights of all Americans," said Christie Hefner, Chairman and CEO of Playboy Enterprises Inc. The $25,000 Freedom of Expression Award will help to support the work of an individual whose record of accomplishments indicates a promising future as an effective advocate for the First Amendment. Preference will be given to emerging leaders for whom the cash grant will make a significant difference in their ability to pursue the goal of protecting and promoting free speech in all its forms.
Christie Hefner created the Hugh M. Hefner First Amendment Awards in 1979 to honor individuals who have made significant contributions in the vital effort to protect and enhance First Amendment rights for Americans.
Over the last three decades, more than 125 valiant advocates for First Amendment freedoms -- from lawyers and journalists to librarians, filmmakers and high school students -- have been recognized with the Hugh M. Hefner First Amendment Award. Historically, award winners have worked in journalism, education, book publishing, arts, entertainment, government and law.
In addition to creating the new Freedom of Expression Award this year, the Playboy Foundation is doubling the value of the cash award for the original Hugh M. How mwny here have looked into investing in Playboy Energy Drink via their bottler Cirtran ( CIRC )? Remember it's only a penny and a half a share and may be a great spec play behind owning shares of Playboy ( PLA )itself. Owning both is the way to go Imo.

Email some of your bunny contacts to see if they could talk to their bosses about getting ESPN's Erin Andrews to pimp the Playboy Energy Drink. She is 'tied in' with college campuses already and she may be able to do outside deals like this without putting her ESPN deal in jeopardy.
Down the road, Playboy needs to do a full photo layout on Erin because she is a freaking HOTTIE Deluxe biscuit.

Why don't add some pictures of playboy energy to the ibox here. Also if everyone who owns playboy shares please buy a few thousand shares of circ (playbev bottler). It only cost a penny &a half a share and would really make a great low cost investment for the future imo.

(Crain’s) — Playboy Enterprises Inc. has energized its rabbit-head logo.
The Chicago-based entertainment company has rolled out its Playboy Energy Drink in Boston, with distribution to Miami, Las Vegas and Los Angeles to follow next month.
Chicago consumers, however, will have to wait until the second half of the year to find the energy drink on retailers' shelves.
"We are taking a strategic distribution approach," said Sarah Haney, vice-president of licensing for Playboy Enterprises. "We will have nationwide coverage by the end of the year."
