GSPN Goldspan Resources, Inc. Appoints New Officers and Directors

VACAVILLE, Calif. , April 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Goldspan Resources, Inc. (OTC BB:GSPN) has elected a new Board of Directors and Officers.

Goldspan has received the resignations of Vincent J. Franzone , CEO, President and a director as well as Fred W. Jackson , Jr., COO and a director and appointed new Directors and Officers as follows:




David Hedderly-Smith , PhD



Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board

Dr. Hedderly-Smith was previously an officer and director of Goldspan and has joined the executive team again in light of the Company's continued goal for locating desirable gold reserves, developing feasible mining plans and ultimately commencing mining operations.

Dr. Hedderly-Smith holds an MS in geological sciences from the University of Washington and a PhD in geology/geochemistry from the University of Utah . He has over 40 years of varied experience in the minerals exploration industry as a staff exploration geologist for both major mining companies and junior exploration companies, a state regulator (three years as the Deputy Director for Minerals in Alaska 's Department of Natural Resources ), a consultant, and a property owner. He has worked throughout Alaska , the western United States and western Canada as a consultant to major and junior mining and energy companies, Alaskan native corporations, and governmental entities on base and precious metal, uranium, coal, tar sands and water projects. He has also been involved with projects on the east coast of the United States , in South America , in Asia and in Africa .

This trade is "watch" in my portfolio, so I peek at it from time to time..

The "e" suffix apperance on this GSPN is as curious as the "similar looking", GSPN.F (Comstock Mining) a/k/a LODE listed on the Frankfort Exchange, and found on finance.yahoo.com.

Anyway, my radar just went off, and it's time for some more DD..

Funny thing is, unless one approaches a "penny play" as a lotto, there is as much DD necessary to protect the investment as there would be on a non penny trade like GG, or CDE..

Just my opinion, but something certainly going on..

There is no specific link.. In my Due Diligence "Research", I looked at the SEC filings, the company web site, other investment literature, and/or subscriptions, then GOOGLE search for each piece of information.

E.G. Franzone, InvestPrivate, etc., etc., FYI- There are ZERO trades for this equity today.

Although my research tends to be exhaustive, I like to protect my money.

Capital Preservation is equally important to Capital Appreciation!

Had a chance to do more research. The "alert" should be the recent SEC filing.

Evidently, Mr. Franzone has business relationships with his InvestPrivate,Inc colleagues in New York where he holds a key position.

The FINRA, sanctioned a few of the Key Executives for wrongful activities...

When the GSPN Executive Team start looking for the EXIT door, that is a clear sign to me to also EXIT.

"IF" this is another attempt by skillful individuals to "Dine & Dash"...

I don't want to be stuck picking up the check!!!

Too many other great plays out there in the market. I will watch from the sidelines on this one before I decide to get my feet wet.
