Do you know if this "split sample tube device" is part of the recent patent application or was that originally available with the Sandia prototype?
Can't we get Sandia to provide us with a boost to get through the finish line here? Or what if they just asked the state of Colorado for the unused portion of the funding from the 2014 State grant.
The next step in oral fluid testing lies greatly on the approval of two labs in the US. For oral fluid drug testing to be implemented in the DOT-regulated industry, including for THC, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) must certify at least two laboratories, and currently, no such labs exist.
These labs are required, to certify the split samples of saliva, which are taken onsite, or roadside, to verify the results of such test. Once these labs are up and running, oral fluid testing can commence. Lifeloc's device, has the split sample tube built into its device already, and is therefore ready to roll, once these labs are in place. It will be interesting to see if any updates on these labs are discussed...
This is the exact headline we should have been seeing from Lifeloc:
"Cannabix Technologies to Attend U.S. National Drug and Alcohol Conference to Market Marijuana Breath Test"
No trades or volume from the recent earnings report was disappointing. Cannabix gets rewarded with a nice jump in its stock price from a simple news release. Why is this so difficult for Lifeloc to share with the investing community news like this. Lifeloc has made it so that no one cares anymore. I really would like to get someone involved with Lifeloc who understands how the game is played and can bring momentum to the stock.
Today's agenda at the NDASA includes:
Toxicology Updates on Drugs of Abuse Testing and Regulations
April 2, 2025
10:15 AM-11:05 AMET
Grand Ballroom 1-4
Industry expert update on the issues facing workplace drug testing to include marijuana & safety, fentanyl, and new drugs on the way to workplace. The latest oral fluid update on laboratory testing of DOT specimens and reagent approvals by the FDA.
This is the type of event where Lifeloc needs to showcase the SpinDx device and garner some interest. Someone please tell me that they have the device at this event and are willing to show it's capabilities and functions.
It appears that they are testing the disc, with full panel of drugs, not just THC, and need to put the finishing touches on it, before it goes to Beta Testing.
"We are currently performing validation testing of the microfluidic action and full drug assay utilizing the current disk design. This testing has resulted in the need for some additional design work before moving into beta testing and production tooling."
We are now in the 2nd quarter of 2025....
We plan to start beta testing of our SpinDx saliva testing system utilizing the delta-9-THC disks in the second quarter of 2025 using prototype readers as shown in the photograph below. The initial product release is projected to be a device with a disk that allows for detection of delta-9-THC (the major intoxicating component of the cannabis plant) from a test subject’s saliva, followed by a disk for a panel of other drugs. Commercial launch of our first SpinDx application is projected to occur in early 2026. Following initial commercialization, we expect more offerings from this technology platform to include expanded drug panels and samples collected from blood and breath. Following the release of our SpinDx saliva testing system, we expect to accelerate development of combining our LX9 breathalyzer with the THC SpinDx detection unit, to produce our roadside marijuana breathalyzer system.
8-k is out.
We look forward to beginning to show off the device to key customers at upcoming industry trade shows,” commented Dr. Wayne Willkomm, President and CEO.
Lifeloc is going to revolutionize the entire field of drug testing for marijuana...
https://www.marijuanamoment.net/congressional-committees-discuss-marijuana-impaired-driving-with-trucking-industry-pushing-for-hair-follicle-testing/?fbclid=IwY2xjawJXZqlleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHcZUesueAUyIb55b_clhC3vMBINwE0kbobJ2PouRcHuJR2fgQp76quvA_g_aem_y3dhu_iKJNwTs4xgMDEfYQ
This is the "money statement,"
Testing for the presence of marijuana within, say an hour after smoking or eating, will produce the
same positive result no matter which device is used. As a result of the metabolizing process by the liver, however, starting after about an hour and continuing
thereafter, the two competitive devices will still show positive results - but due to the proprietary locking feature, SpinDx will not unless delta-9-THC is
actually present. And if it is actually present, SpinDx will read and show the level of impairing delta-9-THC. Once this difference becomes more widely
known, Lifeloc believes society will begin to develop a consensus as to what level is unacceptable for driving (similar, for example, to .05 for alcohol).
Looks like we may have at least another 9 months before product is sales ready, which is basically what most of us expected. Same old report from Lifeloc, although there was a few tidbits in there, that expanded a little on their device. They do seem to remain confident in the acceptance of their device - again, it's more wait and see... They have until this summer to solidify their provisionary patent, and hopefully that goes well.
It will be interesting to see if Lifeloc introduces the new SpinDx device at the many trade shows in the coming months, and see what the public's response is to the device.
Net income, sales, and profit are down, but not by a very large amount - a lot is attributed to inflationary costs. We cannot predict with certainty the expected sales, gross profit, net income or loss, or usage of cash and cash equivalents for
2025. However, we believe that cash resources will be sufficient to fund our operations for the next twelve months under our current operating plan. I
Testing for the presence of delta-9-THC requires the ability to isolate delta-9-THC from these other molecules. Competitive devices such as Drager’s Drugtest
5000 and the Sotoxa device are unable to make this separation, whereas SpinDx™ can do so by locking up the metabolites and then analyzing only the
remaining delta-9-THC. This capability is a patented feature of the technology we licensed from Sandia, but which has been improved upon by Lifeloc and a
patent application has been filed. The practical result of this important difference is that SpinDx delivers test results that correlate more accurately to the level
of psychoactive delta-9-THC than the competitive devices.

Annual Report is Out - Need some time to look over it....
It would have been great to get together with you at this year's shareholders meeting but if I do wind up going I will be sure to ask plenty of questions, take notes and forward them to this Lifeloc board.
I was able to get a confirmation on Lifeloc attending this year's IACT conference April 6-11th:
https://iactonline.org/page-1709724
"Yes, LifeLoc will be attending this year. They will have a booth in our vendor hall."
On April 10th the IACT will be sponsoring a workshop titled "Oral Fluid Roadside Device Validation and Approval". Lifeloc should have a vested interest in attending and possibly presenting during this workshop:
https://cdn.wildapricot.com/72675/resources/Documents/IACT%202025/2025%20IACT%20Oral%20Fluid%20Workshop%20V4%20(final).pdf?version=1741981841000&Policy=eyJTdGF0ZW1lbnQiOiBbeyJSZXNvdXJjZSI6Imh0dHBzOi8vY2RuLndpbGRhcHJpY290LmNvbS83MjY3NS9yZXNvdXJjZXMvRG9jdW1lbnRzL0lBQ1QlMjAyMDI1LzIwMjUlMjBJQUNUJTIwT3JhbCUyMEZsdWlkJTIwV29ya3Nob3AlMjBWNCUyMChmaW5hbCkucGRmP3ZlcnNpb249MTc0MTk4MTg0MTAwMCIsIkNvbmRpdGlvbiI6eyJEYXRlTGVzc1RoYW4iOnsiQVdTOkVwb2NoVGltZSI6MTc0MzE3NTUwOH0sIklwQWRkcmVzcyI6eyJBV1M6U291cmNlSXAiOiIwLjAuMC4wLzAifX19XX0_&Signature=T-SHwfqTzuiYbGvkzC6AspF-e~I0H76FCZe5jgNVkPhI102YE0ogVLotjXgzBwZw6Qr98-pLjdhe~bTWR-hLhYpGn3YQbDch7Z5jDfrJESU4cLEcoqeIrskw1Xx-w0jRSnt9lwOzwhIcbDr436V7POdwA1WJ0UTeUAi8Hu4GLna2fxk1AEFPdg0cvjTsZBdpmuvHYLpz~r3rZoid2aOLNIJmIGOFuAvu0m32SpSc5IpCsmD9M2jS~A8zchT929MhUq9304Fyghs5FKzwElRQAHWyEVVlQrqWXRva4LAD~7ITsfoQpJ-iYOwBgZA8j3Sh7wIkybRMX4bXhNCHbvjzGQ__&Key-Pair-Id=K27MGQSHTHAGGF
Unfortunately, I won't be able to go. Hopefully they will do a teleconference over the phone, zoom, or something like that... I would imagine Andy Lehman will be attending - love to speak with him as well...
Does anyone plan on attending the Lifeloc Annual Shareholders meeting on June 4 at 9:00 am? I'd love to check out the SpinDx for myself, tour the facility and fire away as many questions as they let me. I feel like this year more than ever is one where we should try and attend and get some questions answered.
Can we all just imagine for a second a scenario where the SpinDx device has the capability to test for drugs of abuse, controlled substances, performance enhancing drugs, viral infections, covid, influenza, bacterial infections, mold mycotoxins, etc. all on one disk with results in less than 10 minutes for less than $25?
I just looked into the cost of a professional PED blood test from Quest Diagnostic and these are upwards of $500:
https://www.personalabs.com/product/performance-enhancing-drug-profile-blood-test/?srsltid=AfmBOopMEWcyysDMfdlfYd9F6CE0gTM99fBm8qUN1M-9h_rcLX-mocrx
On a personal note, I have had unexplainable health issues for the last 2 years and I finally was able to figure out it was toxic mold in the walls of my house from a slow roof leak. I had terrible insomnia, back pain, skin issues, trouble breathing and a failing immune system. I purchased a mycotoxin mold urine test kit that was out of pocket costs of over $400 and tested positive for 15 out of the 16 mycotoxins on the panel. If only my PC doctor had a device capable of testing my body for toxins I could have saved so much time and effort in trying to figure out what was wrong. This could be so helpful in Emergency Rooms and doctor's offices that it would change the way we diagnose sickness and disease. That's my hope for the future with this device!
I have to imagine that Lifeloc is attending this event to bring awareness and potential investment from unveiling the SpinDx drug detection device. Do you think they would be presenting at this conference just to showcase their alcohol breathalyzer division?
I did register and may try to make it to the event but they also explain "For those not joining us in person, presentations will be live-streamed virtually."
Cannabis/Marijuana sector moving higher today on this news:
https://www.marijuanamoment.net/trumps-first-pick-for-attorney-general-says-marijuana-rescheduling-is-on-the-horizon/
Yes, still a lot of stimulus ahead... It's a good thing that we stay informed on both the positives, and negatives surrounding us.. We now know, before anything was formally announced, that Hound Labs is out of business, and the NIST meeting has been rescheduled 2 to 3 months. No surprises, not that either one would have an impact on share price anyway.
On a positive note I see that they are presenting at LD Micro in NY on April 10th.
Looks like the NIST Forum is being postponed until the summer...

I disagree with you on them waiting for more cash for launch of the SpinDx device. They have a large, microfluids manufacturing company in place, to produce the discs for them. Of course, this is at a higher cost, but it's better to outsource the discs in the short term, and wait for sales contracts to come in, before investing in a full scale roll-out of the disc production facility. This conserves cash, until the time is right. I do agree, that once full scale disc production begins in-house, that this will be a sure sign of confidence in their product, but bringing their product to market with the external company making the discs, is very feasible, and actually a much better choice for initial launch.
The beautiful thing with Lifeloc, compared to all of these other start-up companies in this field, is that they already have a profitable company, that has been in business for many years. They have taken on a very small financing, in the form of the recent debentures, which could easily be repaid from their current operations of their alcohol segment. They could completely drop the entire SpinDx device, and return to their profitable business, without the large cost of R&D that they have been funding internally, with positive financial results.
The icing on the cake, will be when they do begin manufacturing the discs in-house. They are known as consumables, and will be an ever-bearer of financial profits in perpetuity... a constant flow of cash, with the addition of testing other drugs of abuse. This, along with charging the customer for new firmware for the unit, every time a new drug is added to the panel.
I too don't have high hopes for the quarterly numbers and I fully expect another pushout for SpinDx's launch since they haven't raised more money. I will get more excited when they raise enough to make the disks themselves, that I think will signify that they are close to launch.
As far as Hound, I believe it was a combination of going deep into debt, raising cash to fund 100% of their venture, poor management, limited customer base, and the focus on places of employment as the sole target to market their product. Human resources Departments want to focus on hiring/firing, benefits management, vacation, employee investment plans, 401k's, retirement, leaves of absence. etc... They do not want to be a police officer/lab tech - it's just not in their best interest. I believe Lifeloc is on the correct path, along with their existing customer base from their alcohol segment, they are much better positioned than Hound was, as well as the fact that they had to raise very little money, and funded most of their R&D from organic sales of their other products.
I too, don't really expect much from the coming earnings report, but an update on Beta Testing would be nice. As far as the trade shows, I considered going to the Jacksonville show, since I own a home in Florida, and spend my winters here, it would only be a several hour drive, but the dates don't work for me. I own a small garden center up north, not far from you, and the spring is our busiest time of year.
There's only one thing that will create interest in this stock, and that's positive news releases. Other than that, nobody even knows this company exists. It needs to make the lists of largest movers, and unusual, or most actively traded stocks. It needs to gain attention of new investors, and give them the volume to comfortably make a trade. Trading a few hundred shares a week is not going to do it...
So much for the Hound Labs IPO ever happening. I really wonder if it was an issue with the management or the technology?
Let's focus on Lifeloc for a minute here:
We know that earnings are due any minute/day now. I personally am not expecting much to come from this report. If I see mention of the year 2026 I will be pretty disappointed. I fear another year of wishing and waiting.
Lifeloc is pretty busy during the month of April with the NIST event, the Jacksonville trade show (any chance your going to that one?), and the IACT conference. If the SpinDx Drug detection device is presented at these shows, we could see some stock movement but I'm not holding my breath. We have had such little buying interest in this thing and I still just think the management team needs to step it here and make an effort to increase shareholder value.
I will say this... The several people that follow this company on the IHub message board, are very intuitive, and current with the developments in the drug & alcohol testing field - whether their intentions are good, or bad... My next question is, what will happen to Hound Labs proprietary assets - patents, etc... Surely, Lifeloc's management was aware of what was occurring at Hound ?
I just tried calling and phone number is disabled. Goes right to call ended. I can't imagine that these signs lead to anything good for Hound Labs. This company had revenue coming in from sales of their device and dozens of investors. Have to do a bit more digging to find out what happened here.
Interesting... Could be a a wide variety of things. Closed up shop? Bankruptcy? Preparing to IPO? Merger or acquisition? Maybe try to call the headquarters, and see if anyone answers...? The number I tried, just gave me a busy signal. Something is up - could be good, I'm leaning more toward bad, but who knows...? Edible may be correct in the fact that they may have burned through money raised, and having difficulty raising more? All of their eggs were in one basket. Time will tell....
I recall that Hound Labs raised over $100 million in funding. Do you think they could have ripped through all of that already? As far as I know they had a working device that was bringing in revenue.
Do you see this as a good thing for competitors like Lifeloc and Cannabix or not necessarily?
Bankruptcy? They probably burned through all of their funding.
It seems interesting that Hound Labs has a permanently closed banner on a google search, the Hound Labs website is down and their Instagram social media account is disabled.
Any ideas on what could have happened with Hound Labs?
If history repeats itself, and it will - this report will be no different than the last 4 years where they use the same exact wording and once again push it back to the year 2026. I really, really want us to be wrong but so far there has been no indication that this year will be any different than the previous years. And the stock price is showing us that we are not going to see any surprises. Stock prices usually do not hit a new 52 week low when your about to get some market moving news to the upside. Prove us wrong Lifeloc. Please prove us wrong.
New Product Makes Testing for Drug Intoxication Easier:
https://www.sandia.gov/partnerships_reach/#!/stories?category=1&id=130&page=1
I would still like to imagine a scenario where Sandia makes an investment or helps to fund the completion/finalizations of the SpinDx device to help Lifeloc get through the finish line.
I would guess that things will be pushed out to 2026 since they haven't raised all the funds they wanted and they obviously need it for all the testing, revising the SpinDx and making the disks themselves as they referenced in the Jan. 7th press release.
Lifeloc is in a bit a sweet spot here with earnings due out soon, the NIST event a month from now, and two shows in April where they should be introducing the SpinDx device to attendees and interested parties.
The last thing we want to see from the earnings report is anything that has any wording about the SpinDx drug detection device and the year 2026. For the last 5 years they have told us that this is the year only to be pushed back every time. This is one of the reasons why there is a lack of investors and buyers. Investors know the penny stock world for being full of empty promises.
For the love of God, please let's get this thing done and no mention of the year 2026 in the upcoming report.
I just think this seller is either hiding size or continues to put up smaller offers in hopes that they get filled.
Cannabix had a nice day on good volume. Looks like news maybe next week on that one.
While you may be right, on Level II quotes there aren't any large offers shown. Maybe it's just a lack of buyers?
From what I can see there is a blatantly obvious seller that has held this stock down for a long time. On March 11th, that seller went market on 5,000 shares and was filled at around $2.40. This particular seller is not done and has more to sell which is why we are not seeing any upward momentum in the stock. Every single time there is an uptick or buy side volume, they come right back in on the offer side to sell more shares. Until we get some large buy side volume to clear out this seller, we are not going anywhere.
The short volume I am referring to, is daily short volume, it is recorded daily, and not representative of short interest, which is recorded bi-monthly.
For example, on 2/19, there were 100 shares sold short, with a total volume of 100 shares= 100% short volume. Then on 2/24, there were 100 shares sold short out of 400 shares = 25% short volume, but the firm may have actually purchased the 100 shares back, or more, thus negating any actual short interest in the stock.
Market makers play a roll in trading of the security. They often place large bids, or asks on securities, to intimidate investors one way or the other on the trade.
My point of what occurred on 3/11, is that market makers could have put short sell pressure on the stock (500) shares that day, to trigger stop losses, or create fear in investors. There were only 500 shares sold short that day, but I'm sure that all were covered + more, on top of accumulating more (7,144)... again, negating any short interest data that is reported.
I can assure you that no one "shorted" 5,000 shares of LCTC yesterday. These were shares definitely owned by someone. They have been on the offer for weeks now and finally gave up and just sold at the market yesterday.
There has not been any short volume in this stock in quite some time as referenced below:
https://shortsqueeze.com/?symbol=Lctc
I agree that the market makers may have taken those shares at a price of $2.40 but those were certainly not shares that were shorted.
The selling pressure you are referring to, is coming from short sales, not investors dumping their shares. This could be market makers influencing the stock price, and picking up shares at lower prices.
If you notice, there has been a high percentage of short sales up to yesterday, then on 3/11, a large accumulation occurred, with only 500 shares sold short, out of 7,644 total shares.
Look at the link I shared, and pan down to "Short Sale Volume (Off-Exchange Provided by FINRA)." My take, is that market makers are trying to load up on inexpensive shares, before a big upward move. I could be wrong, but as you stated, with all of the stimulus in the coming months, it doesn't make any sense to sell at this point in time, especially long term holders...
https://fintel.io/ss/us/lctc
[/img][/img][/img]
With continued insider buying, SpinDx being presented at upcoming shows, the NIST marijuana breathalyzer event, and possible contracts I can't comprehend who would sell 5,000 shares at the market yesterday and get filled at a 52 week low. My thoughts lead me to believe that it can only be a desperate seller needing to raise funds, Alan Castrodale's family who inherited his shares when he passed away or disgruntled former CEO Barry Knott. I'm tired of this never ending supply of stock for sale. There has been selling pressure in this stock for what feels like years now. Where can all these shares possibly keep coming from? I really hope and wish that the selling pressure is done and we can start an uptrend going into the NIST event.
Highest volume since last June, I hope the seller is done.
