Solid quarter in line with what I had expected. Margins improved while top-tine revenue was below my expectations. The company still has a solid cash position and backlog increased again to $32.4 million.

Kreisler CEO Michael Stern commented that "We are pleased with our latest financial results. "Our net income for the three and nine months ended March 31, 2008 increased 96% and 25%, respectively, compared to the prior fiscal year," said Kreisler CFO Ned Stern. "During our fiscal 2008 third quarter, sales of components for military aircraft engines and industrial gas turbines increased 24% and 179%, respectively, compared to our third quarter fiscal 2007 sales," said Ned Stern, "while our sales of commercial aircraft engine components were 7% lower. For the nine months ended March 31, 2008, all three of our industry market areas experienced sales increases compared to the same period in the prior fiscal year." The Company noted that the net income for the three months ended March 31, 2007 was affected by a $235,000 pre-tax product warranty expense and a $129,000 sales reduction attributable to a U.S. Government contract.

Ned Stern also noted that, "our order backlog as of March 31, 2008 increased 9% to $32,400,000 compared to $29,689,000 as of March 31, 2007. Approximately 74% of our order backlog is scheduled to ship over the next 12 months. Our March 31, 2008 cash on hand and short-term investments of $7,523,000 increased $1,900,000 compared to June 30, 2007 due to strong working capital management and advanced payments from our customers. We also held approximately $700,000 of AAA-rated auction rate securities as long-term investments. While we have no immediate need for liquidity, these long-term investments have been affected by the ability of the financial markets to trade such securities. We do not anticipate that the lack of liquidity of these long-term investments will affect our ability to execute our current business plan."

Kreisler Manufacturing Corporation is a manufacturer of precision metal components and assemblies for use in military and commercial aircraft engines and industrial gas turbines. As I mentioned previously, backlog increased sequentially last quarter and I'm looking for backlog to increase in the third quarter.

Backlog

Our total backlog as of December 31, 2007 was $32,100,000 compared to $23,300,000 at December 31, 2006. As of December 31, 2007, the backlog increased $8,800,000, or 38%, from December 31, 2006. Up to approximately 70% of the current backlog is scheduled for delivery over the next 12 months. There can be no assurances, however, that the current backlog will be delivered during that time or at all. Backlog as of June 30, 2007 was $29,900,000. Backlog is subject to change with reduced purchase order duration and terminations. Orders that have already been terminated by a customer are excluded from the backlog even if the amount owed by a customer to us for the termination has not been paid.

We remain focused on expanding our global capabilities and expect Kreisler Polska’s tube and pipe facility to be operational in the second half of calendar year 2008 in a newly renovated facility. Our commitment to this global strategy has not been followed by most of our competitors. We will again have a sales and marketing presence at the bi-annual Farnborough Air Show outside London in July 2008.

We provide, under a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) between Kreisler Industrial and United Technologies Corporation (“UTC”), the majority of tube and manifold components used on the F119 engine (2 engines per F-22 aircraft) which is the only engine currently certified for use on the F-22 Raptor. As a result, sales of F119 engine components represent an important part of our military sales. According to the Financial Times (issue dated January 25, 2008), Lockheed Martin, the manufacturer of the F-22, expressed confidence that the US Congress will extend funding for the aircraft beyond the current planned purchase of 183 aircraft. Should this increase come to fruition, we believe that we are well positioned to benefit from such an increase. See the “Liquidity and Capital Resources” section of this Management Discussion and Analysis for a description of the MOU.

We have not seen any indications that the reported economic slowdown (such as slowing 4th quarter GDP growth reported in the Wall Street Journal Online on January 30, 2008) has affected our sales. We look for any global economic changes that could affect us and we believe that we are prepared to respond accordingly if an economic slowdown should have the potential to affect us.

A review of last quarter's earnings...

KRSL posts earnings of $.29 a share...

-Improved results from Kreisler from last quarter as sales reached over $7.5 million.
-However, gross margins fell from 25% last year to 20% this year due to increased cost of materials.
-SG&A as a % of sales was also increased from 8.0% to 8.4%
-Overall margins have decreased are expected to stay at this level for the remainder of the year until improvements begin to occur in the Kreisler Polska division in the second half of the year.

-Backlog up to $32.1 million from $29.8 million last quarter even with the increased sales.

-They will begin shipping parts to UTC for the F119 engine begining January 1, 2008 so sales should ramp up a bit.

-Cash balance increased again to approximately $8.0 million.

I've been adding shares in KRSL in the past few weeks in the high 11's and low 12's. They will began shipments to UTX as part of their MOU that was signed last year that will represent $12 million in ADDITIONAL SALES on top of existing business. Shipments will be made from the beginning of 2008-2010 which represent about an additional $1 million in revenue per quarter on average.

They also have over $4.25 per share in cash on their balance sheet.

I'm expecting anywhere from $7.75 million to $8 million in sales for the quarter, a 25% increase over the previous years quarter and a sequential increase from $7.5 million.

In terms of EPS, I see about $.30 to $.35 a share based on margins similar to the previous quarter. This will be a large improvement over the $.16 a share posted last year.
