(Bloomberg) -- Keurig Dr Pepper Inc. has spent the past three years bringing together two of the world’s largest drinks businesses. Now that that job’s done, Chief Executive Officer Bob Gamgort is on the prowl for the company’s next target.

Keurig Dr Pepper Inc. (KDP) said Thursday its majority shareholder Acorn Holdings is planning to sell some of its shares in the company, a move that will increase the public float to about 20% of outstanding shares from a current 15%. Acorn said the decision was partly driven by KDP's request to provide additional liquidity. Acorn has already agreed to sell about 47 million shares through registered direct sales, boosting the public float to about 18%. "Acorn does not intend to sell any additional shares of KDP in the foreseeable future," the company said in a statement. KDP shares fell 1.1% in early trade, but have gained 52% in the last 12 months, while the S&P 500 has gained 4.7%.

This morning, leading beverage manufacturer and distributor, Keurig Dr Pepper Inc (KDP:NYSE), is falling lower by more than 6.0 percent after reporting earnings. The stock cut below its important 50 and 100-day moving averages today. This fall puts the stock in a weak technical position on the charts. Trader and investors should note the next major support level for KDP stock will be around the $22.00 area. This level is where the stock was defended in October 2018. Often, stocks will have excellent support when they retest an important pivot from the past. I will be watching KDP for a long side trade when price gets down to this level.

Lol. Agreed these prices appear quite attractive. Imagine getting these shares for under $20, $15, $10, or $5! This one will have to be watched closely. KDP could get taken down so that people can get cheap shares, then taken back up. Holiday sales should be starting soon too. Good brands here.
