I'm not sure Herve can pay himself with stock. Since the stock isn't trading there is no way to know the current value of the company without having it valued by a neutral third party (or three). It would incur extra expenses and may subject the company to a shareholder lawsuit (shareholders are not getting IPLY financial statements). Herve should be paying himself out of whatever revenue IPLY generates and the company should just owe him, if there isn't enough money. If the company can't afford to completely pay the employees, Herve should look to sell or liquidate the company. Herve still has a fiduciary duty to shareholders.
Herve had a large amount of accrued pay due to him. If I were him and thought the stock would be worth anything in the future I would convert the back pay to shares while the price is low. Same case for the other people left there. Or if anything of value was left they could give themselves bonuses. I don't believe shareholders will make out since Herve did not have a significant number of shares, IIRC. All guesses by me. I still have shares but value them at $0 for planning.
What makes you think they issued more shares to Hervé? On the other hand, I'm really surprised that interplay has been able to hold on to Christopher Nelson and Christopher Taylor for so many years. Makes me think they must have good stock options and know something we don't. Why would they stay with this shell of a company for so long otherwise?
Maybe Interplay issued more shares to Herve and family.
I saw a bunch of rumors that Kingpin reloaded will release in December of this year. Apparently several different gaming sites posted the release date and then took it down...
Not sure. You still can't trade the stock until they decide to formally report earnings. Hopefully they will decide to do that at some point.. not sure why they don't just sell the company. I believe Earthworm Jim IP is worth 20 million alone, which would put the stock in about 20 cents a share
Hidey Ho Neighbors! Did Interplay ever resolve the stock clearing house issue?
It makes sure people know they are still active and have at least four people working there. They may also be counting the number of unique visitors to their site.
Interplay's website is done. Not sure why they spent two months on this when it is essentially the same.... 🤷
I just check for recent activity on his social media. I'm not sure if I ever tries to contact him or anyone at Interplay. My record for getting responses at companies is horrible. Disney is the only company I ever got a response from (and it came in a very timely manner).
Rick, does Hervé ever respond to you? How do you check if he is still alive? On social media?
https://www.interplay.com/
Kind of interesting. I doubt it will affect us shareholders.
I stopped searching for info on Interplay/projects. Every now and then I check to see if Herve is still alive (or the opposite). I doubt shareholder value will be realized until he is no longer involved with Interplay's operations.
Interplay has a new teaser website indicating something big is coming. 🤷

So quiet... I haven't heard anything about Earthworm Jim cartoon... On Discord, the developers of Kingpin keep saying it is still coming. Things are are so beyond quiet and dark. Makes me wonder if they are currently in negotiations to sell or merge the company and are keeping things dark during the process... 🤷

enough to pay a bit of Herve's salary
Darkness Alliance is barely selling on Android. Less than 10000 sold...
I'm almost positive Company Pasta went out of business 2 years ago. I saw something on Pacer legal website about it. If anyone has information to the contrary, let me know
I didn't get one yet, either (Charles Schwab and Co.). But, it's probably a matter of time before it comes.
If you do reach out to Herve you might ask him if he is using IPLY resources to help his other company ("Company Pasta"). It's operating out of the same offices.

Oh no!
I didn't receive this message from my tdameritrade.
Maybe you should reach out to Hervé about this...
The end is nigh. Got an email from Etrade stating IPLY shares will be removed from my account via its Position Removal Program. The shares are non-transferable and Etrade is unable to register and deliver a physical stock certificate. They go on to state that in the future if they become aware of active transfer agent services for the security they will attempt to reinstate the position. Does not sound good at all.
Anyone else get this email of doom?
He never replied to that email.
Hmmmm. Very interesting idea... have you tried contacting him to suggest this?
My guess is he just continues to pay his salary. What I think he should do is list the company on an alternative trading system like the TZERO platform which would get the existing company shares to a place where they can be traded. He could convert all shares to security tokens and shareholders would not be left in limbo as we are now.
Herve is listed as having 9 million shares and his brother has 5 million listed. An untraceable holding company owns 60 million shares based out of Luxembourg. This is out of the hundred twenty million or so shares issued. I would think Hervé would want to monetize his shares and sell the company at some point, but since they need next to no one to operate and he continues to make a decent salary, who knows when that might happen. Do you have any other thoughts about how things might play out?
Yes, sold about 35% back in 2021 on the run to 0.07 but I still hold too many shares.
Firehorse,
Do you currently own shares of interplay?
Sadly Herve's accrued salary is probably >$20M now.
Yeah, probably lots of back pay accruing... I'm assuming interplay's only path forward is to eventually sell the company. I don't see any other viable alternatives. My belief is earthworm Jim IP, alone, is worth 20 million. If that is the sale price of Interplay, that would be 20 cents per share
I assume whatever money they will make will be given over to Herve as back pay for his $1M/yr salary or something like that.
Good find! Good piece of news! Anyone have any idea what is going on with interplay. They are so quiet right now. Makes me wonder if they are gearing up for a sale/merger

Sooooo quiet at Interplay... Makes me wonder if they are in process of being bought out. ??
Minimum effort? There isn't anything on their Instagram or Facebook pages. There was discussion on this two days ago and reporters probably questioned IPLY before that. No response at all would have had people thinking Interplay was dead.
Yeah, Amico is dead... it was interesting that interplay responded to the rumors on Twitter
Earthworm Jim 4 has seemingly been canned

Howdy Ho Neighbors.
Anyone looking to sell shares? If so you might be able to via a gift. Contact your broker and ask if you can gift shares.
If so I'm in the market to buy.
IPLY is the IP rights holder. I'm guessing whatever broadcast/streaming service it's going to will pay for it.
It's been a year since the original announcement. I'm guessing Parandi got the script done and they are ready to cast voice actors and start animation
Hmmm, I'm assuming that this means interplay has signed a deal and is no longer producer of the cartoon. I wonder if they still have Michel Parandi employed, or if he was just making short scenes to sell the idea to a larger company

LOL!
Our favorite Interplay Russian bot is back. And, what a surprise, this article talks about how great Putin is...
I wonder what happened to that Russian bot Ned Flanders who promoted fake elections in the US and Russian autocracy on this site. Also not sure why Russian bots would be involved in Interplay. He talked about that ridiculous Mules movie that Bill Barr laughed about. ??Such an interesting situation of why a Russian bot would bother with this stock... Everything is so quiet now. What is Russia planning with Interplay?
