KNOC, POSCO Holdings to collaborate on lithium extraction
2024.04.18
Who knows what they are up to. They bought and sold at same price. Sold less then bought. A lot of insiders buying small amounts. Not all warrant transactions. Looks like we are Brewing. Just need solid news for investors
EVL Holdings cant make up their mind. buying 2million worth of shares two weeks ago and selling 1.5 million worth of shares this week.
hows the court case going here? still muddying through i suppose. yeah?
..........Le Bon.........Well considered and presented...........
April 22,2024 A similar DLE process has also drawn the interest of billionaire Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (NYSE:BRK-A) (NYSE:BRK-B), but in California’s Salton Sea instead of South America’s Lithium Triangle. Through its subsidiary Berkshire Hathaway Energy Renewables (‘BHE Renewables’), the company is planning for 2026 as its goal for producing lithium as a byproduct of existing geothermal energy production in the region.
BHE Renewables already runs a fleet of 10 geothermal plants in the Imperial Valley. After constructing a DLE demonstration plant to assess the viability of lithium extraction, the company plans to go on to potentially build a commercial-scale facility with a projected annual capacity of 90,000 metric tons of lithium.
It’s worth noting, however, that an initial $15M grant from the US Department of Energy was initially awarded to BHE, only to be quietly rescinded just weeks later. After 13 months of negotiations between the company and the government, talks stalled as Berkshire sought control over patents, changes to technology, and whether it could one day sell the lithium business, even after the government helped build it, as reported by Reuters.
My opinion looks like everything is a go now that the 11th geothermal demonstration lithium plant has been proven successful. Keep in mind Berkshire has 3 more geothermal plants under construction. It will take a proven technology to produce 90000 metric tons. Looking forward to seeing who the technology is.
This one line seems like Buffets referencing a proven dle tech in South America (only one proven DLE tech that I know of in S.A.) will also work in the Salton Sea.

On Feb, 29, 2024, IBAT (CAD), is pleased to announce the private placement financing with EV Metals, in which it issued 2,702,400 Units of the companys shares at a price 0f C$1.00 per unit(share) for gross proceeds of USD 2 million.(initial closing)....There will be no RS for IBAT(IBATF)..got Michel Libor on board..and many of the board members own a ton of shares of their own company..thats what seems to be a huge sign of good things to come from our first contract client in the Western US( US Mag ? )...Seems logical that our stock is devalued at a 52% discount.IMO..In May or June..you will see IBATF stock at above $1.42 or higher..possibly $2.74..Just my opinion. but that plant in Western US will start to soon produce LiBi in june or shortly thereafter..The first Commercially DLE of its kind should garner lots of attention from the Big Boys..Jon Baker says IBATs tech works..then it works..SLR & Greg Mehros validated the IBAT process to be quite commercially positive, environmentally friendsly, little land required for DLE mobile plant(2.3 acres),97% of the water is recycled, little of no use of chemicals used.. The Absorbant material and tech can handle all types of brines as testing results stated..quick to build model MDLE 1 plant(6 months or less) ..New patents in place..Revenue is Coming along with more contract clients. Let the good times roll..IMO..its coming $oon!
AI to spark 10-year Supercycle in Critical Minerals, The Oregon Group forecasts
CNW Group
Mon, Apr 22, 2024, 9:30 AM EDT
TORONTO, April 22, 2024 /CNW/ - The explosion of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is expected to trigger a 10-year critical mineral supercycle, according to a new report. The Oregon Group predicts the massive energy needs of new AI data centers will increase pressure on mineral supply chains already under strain to meet global net-zero targets.
The report examines key trends affecting the growth across the sector, including:
nuclear energy and uranium
renewable energy and battery metals, including cobalt, graphite, lithium, nickel, manganese, rare earths, fluorspar
expanding electricity grids driving copper demand
and tin, essential for soldering across the tech revolution
This growth in demand is driven by a potent combination of technology companies, consumer and business demand, and government support, all racing to maintain a global cutting edge.
The large tech companies are betting hundreds of billions on new data centers — Amazon plans to spend US$150 billion over the next 15 years on data centers — as they are already facing challenges to their ambitions of AI growth.
Years of underinvestment in new mines, concentrated supply and processing in high-risk regions, as well as rising demand for minerals to meet net-zero targets, means supply will struggle to keep pace with the potential AI demand that is only now starting to be appreciated.
The report highlights NVIDIA's soaring stock price, a proxy for investment in the AI revolution, as a signpost that the supercycle is already underway.
McKinsey forecasts generative AI has the potential to generate value equivalent to $2.6 trillion to $4.4 trillion in global corporate profits annually.
The combined incentives of significant corporate profits, technological advancements, environmental restrictions and consumer pressure, will overcome many of the obstacles to investment across the sector, even those hindering net-zero targets.
To learn more about the new critical mineral supercycle and key trends, you can access The Oregon Group's new report, entitled "Artificial Intelligence and the next Critical Mineral Supercycle" by visiting our dedicated website section for the market report.

As far as the Imperial Valley/Salton Sea Project(s) Stands..I think the last 12 years of creating a sound plan to extract the lithium there in an environmental sound way has been developed..and will no doubt have court implications to try to stop it..but the support has gained enough approval to proceed..as it it his..Just have to have a DLE Tech that has the pipes and eqipment to handle the highly hot salty corrosive brine below...Burba might have the patent for the betterment of the tubing/pipes to withstand that corrosive brine for longer periods of flow.. .. highly resistant replacement pipes might be more cost effective now ..Seems like Burba and BHE might be on it..might be on it..We cant afford warming this continent up anymore..so IMO..the Imperial Valley Project Plan is very well..DLE? is the way to go ..and fast!
Meanwhile, billionaire investor Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Energy — which owns 10 of the 11 existing geothermal power plants at the Salton Sea — has been trying for years to develop a profitable technique for lithium extraction.

Construction starts on huge lithium project near Salton Sea despite threat of a lawsuit

Must be. Makes way less sense than e3 or salton sea
It’s probably just a coincidence that US mag advertises on their website they have the capacity to produce 9k tonnes per annum at their existing facility and ibats mystery customer will produce 8k
I never checked your math, to me anything over 3-4k production is irrelevant as i view unit 1 as the proof of concept to Exxon as they validate their pruchase of the goldilocks. I'm still waiting to see what references are available that led people to believe salton sea produces carbonate.
https://digitalcommons.usu.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1308&context=nrei&httpsredir=1&referer=
No that’s not true. The Gen 1 unit is maxed out at 5k/tonne with with an atacama-like brine, unless columns are added. My guess is Gen 2 units will have wider columns, but not necessarily more, to allow more volume, thus increasing the yield to 20k tonnes. Ibat is the opposite of hype.
You embarrassed yourself with your recent posts. I thought you were all about “let the good times roll.” Maybe you are lashing out because atlas is falling like a rock. This is why I left this board. It’s full of a bunch of emotional cry baby boomers!
Interesting that IBAT has always hyped the recovery rate to be 5000mt upgraded to 20000 mt lithium yearly recovery rate.
Now they are saying for this outstanding customer it will be 4000mt upgraded to 8000 mt.
Sounds like it would have to be a thick mucky geothermal brine to drop that low.
If the ppm where 3000 almost pure lithium they would be outputting at least 20000 mt and upgrade to 40000 mt.
That some serious mushrooms and kool-aid being passed around, enjoy the psyco trip because the buzz kill is coming.
Its all coming to a theater near you! Soon details will prove D8c00p3r to be right, as I believe he is right based on facts, not delusion..No offense but we all all here, and the party will start withing the upcoming weeks, months, as the company(s) grow together..Together we are, so we should play nice.. Money talks, bulshit walks as we need news, deals, and revenue..Projected revenue will move the pps up in a heartbeat..IMO. Whats Up Doc? We want some carrots..
Thanks for the Great post!
US Magnesium LLC is a privately traded company as we know..plus no doubt is our first contract customer..Confidentiality agreement is stronly respected here as the two parties go thru finalizing their term sheet contract..Could not be more happier with US Mag being our first, but not the last Contract Customer.Domino effect ? Its possible that Burbas propriety IBAT MDLE Tech could lead all DLE first and foremost..Getting the early bites before other DLEs try to develop their own DLE tech..time is now in the next year or less to line up those deals..IMO..Burba wont FU like before with Simble/Rhinegold..He came out of retirement twice just to finish the journey with Success this time around...We shareholders count!
I respectfully disagree. However it's a free world and actions have consequences. The offer will remain on the table until later this summer, then ill be closer to the bayou and will happily oblige.
When you're capable, please share your reference suggesting Salton Sea or any other region in the United States is producing carbonate that would be qualitative enough to support the company press release stating "existing lithium carbonate producer" in the Western U.S.
Oh , I hurt your little feelings and shamed the devil and told the TRUTH…
and showed your true colors and upset you.
Bring it on !
I'm not scared of you…
You're using some choice wording. Come on down to the Imperial Valley where you can feel free to choose your words in person.
I'm sorry your resources have misled you to think there are producers outside of the 2 that have been listed by USGS. If you need help with academic resources feel free to reach out.
I've also shared the permit data on USmag for everyone here. I believe it was more likely to be the customer over the only other carbonate producer in the United States, Albermarle. Who has continiously stated they're not interested in the application of DLE to expand their Silver Peak project as they are currently planning to expand with the use of additional ponds.
These social media platforms are a great way to share information, and typically involve discussion regarding information provided. I am all set in the friend department but thank you for your kind offer.
Thanks for your relentless awful dd entertainment, too bad you suck at that also.
My impersonation of you on discord…
M.F. go do your own research who the fuck you think I am.
You're in the wrong channel, asshole.
Your upsetting Johnny now I will do some faggot meme because that's the real John.
Go back to discord where you have maybe 1 or 2 friends left.
Your not liked or welcomed here, are you that dumb you can't tell when your not a team player.

Domestic Production and Use: Commercial-scale lithium production in the United States was from one continental
brine operation in Nevada. Lithium was also commercially produced from the brine-sourced waste tailings of a Utah-
based magnesium producer. Two companies produced a wide range of downstream lithium compounds in the
United States from domestic or imported lithium carbonate, lithium chloride, and lithium hydroxide. Domestic
production data were withheld to avoid disclosing company proprietary data.

There are 2. Albermarle and Usmag, I've already shared the publication that illustrates 100% of carbonate producers in america.
If you have a publication that illustrates more, could be helpful in identifying potential customers in the Western United States.

American Molecules
Urvi Enterprise LLC
These companies play a crucial role in meeting the demand for lithium carbonate, especially for applications like electric vehicle (EV) batteries and other energy storage technologies. 🚗🔋123 🌟
When Jon Evans says ibat tech works. I believe it. I'll be happy to see it working in the Western United States ✅️ with a n existing carbonate producing company ✅️
These 2 details exclude 98% of lithium companies in america. There are only 2 companies in america producing carbonate. Salton sea is not one of them.
Good news about usmag permits ✅️ and it isn't on the great salt lake. Can't wait to see an existing byproduct waste pool turned into 3000ppm concentrate.
Nice map. I can click on the icon and it takes me to the company website.
I hope you did not ruin my weekend, with me staying up late researching the map🙂
The new Director of ibatf, I believe could be connected to the the plant location. He bought over 25-million shares and took a seat at the table.
Thanks for the compliment. NOT!!!
Emotional, really!!! Try you disgust me and everyone else here with your inadequacy by being misinformed and believing you're not. Go ahead and belittle your dog pound to make your ego and ovaries swell up.
Good to be back, exciting times are ahead of us . Look forward to see how this unfolds with the mdle being first to operating a functioning commercial plant.
Heres a great interactive map of U.S. Western Lithium Locations.

I believe that Burba stated that IBATS patented DLE absorbant material can be dialed in to the particular brine to differentiate and extract whatever they want...lithium,sulfer,copper,silver,gold, magnesium, zinc,etc..the process has been bested in the recent year .Galvanic was not the only brine that it tested at the St.charles plant..The DLE worked with many different levels of concentrations in the brines admirably..Testing results that Exxon Mobil and Chevron got thru Brent Wilson(CEO Galvanic Energy), and thru the SLR Validation proved that IBATs is what Burba has said it was and some..
As Quoted in an article with Exxon mobil, Stellantis, General Motors, and others have poured in hundreds of millions of dollars into DLE research developement..Our window of opportunity does not last long...says Chris Doornbos, CEO of E3 , which is developing a Canadian DLE project with support from Exxon Mobil subsidiary Imperial Oil..He says we must get commercialized now!..As far as we know we are the very first, or one of the few..IBATs commercialized DLE that has been tested positively by two leading mining /survey companys, SLR, and Greg Mehros Group....and we have our first contract customer in western US already vamping up the IBAT plant, upscaled up to producing 8,000 metric tons of Lithium Bi per year or more..producing lithium as early as June with that term sheet contract customer in western US? Soon we will know who that customer is..? ..; The new patents provide more details about the added pumps, pipes, and new bested absorbant material.. Salton Sea(BHE) or US Magnesium, Argentina or Chile..Arkansas Smackover with Exxon Mobil.. ?? Whoever they be..Multiple partners/contracts seem probable ..The sooner the Better.IMO..Burbas MDLE can handle different brines as he stated..dial it up Doc!
Dr. Burba discussed "multiple brines" in his recent stifel interview. Might help clear up his opinion on what the technology is capable of.
Sincerely wish you the best. Emotionally responding is unbecoming of you.
As Stated on Reuters,.....Thbe problem with DLE is that it has to be tailored to each specific brine...and IBATs tech survey results that it tested hundreds ..many of different brines at that ST.Charles plant..Galvanic sold Exxon Mobil 100,000 acres of prime Arkansas lithium..and if the shoe fits....wear it!..Brent Wilson of Galvanic gave detailed positive info on IBATs testing results of their smackover brine with amazing results.Fact..Hold for the Gold..IMO..

Oh.. By the way the two directors that are sueing IBAT were fired for talking to a company in the Salton Seas. The evidence in the case has been posted online. I will try to find the name of that company it could be unredacted now.
There are a lot of pages to go through, I could have easily missed the name.

Occidental is leaning towards a ‘build, own and operate’ approach to growing its direct lithium extraction business.

Occidental, owns part of Terralithium.
Terralithium site had a warning with their cookies that they will sue if anything is reproduced on the internet from that site. I do not go there anymore. Also they no longer had the names of directors on the site. I wonder if they were bought out.
Last year I listened to a few of the Berkshire earnings calls and Warren said he was getting out of the lithium business. BB called me a lier.
In that same earnings call Warren said it is hard to take over public companies than private companies. I wonder if that was a bluff to get a better deal??
I'm not sure what Bekshire has been doing resently. But worth looking into again on a rainy day.
I too read it was "Two Geothermal Brines Tested."

Burba told the conference that IBAT - which has held talks to license its DLE technology with Exxon Mobil (XOM.N), opens new tab, Chevron (CVX.N), opens new tab and others - recovers 98.5% of the freshwater used during its lithium production process, and is aiming to boost that further.

Hang on this about to get out of control....
D8c.. A.K.A. Tazer on Discord.YOUR OUTDATED FAKE NEWS….
You're so misinformed and out of touch, you're definitely the consultant of B.S. who finds it easier to baffle them with bullshit and you find it easier to belittle people to cover up your obtuse understanding and lack of quality DD.
The article you referred to in your post was canceled AND BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY GAVE THE D.O.E. $14.9 MILION BACK MORON !!! Your DD is lame and your attitude is pathetic.
You haven't substantiate anything about Salt Lake about DLE but an old article from 2019 to build a carbonate plant for spent lithium salt for
U.S.Mag which happened and the plant is useless as tits on a bull for dle lithium brine.
"In a statement to Reuters, Berkshire said it had planned to develop "a first-of-its-kind demonstration plant to produce lithium hydroxide" but "subsequently decided to use a commercially proven process" to produce lithium carbonate instead.Oct 5, 2022"
Which voided the $14.9 million contract since Berkshire took the carbonate path and paid the govt back for not going after hydroxide !!! Hmm, IBAT ran someone's geothermal brine about the same time as IBAT has publicly stated.
So if you can't dazzle us with brilliance, then shut the fuck up!
Don't worry about who I think might be the outstanding IBAT customer with facilitie"S". Worry with your lousy pick.
I have been here a lot longer than your 3 years and have made millions on IBAT. Stashed some away, lost millions and still have a huge position to make more millions again soon. Doesn't matter who the outstanding customer is, all here will still make money, hopefully a life altering fortune.
Lake Charles, Louisianna,(June 16th). the global battle to reshape the lithium industry is sucking in oil producers, tech startups, and entrenched mining giants, each jockeying to become the first to reinvent how a metal key to the green energy transition is produced..A fleet of direct lithium extraction technologies(DLE) are on the verge of tapping into salty brine deposits all across Europe, Asia, North America, and elsewhere that the US Geological Survey estimates are filled with 70% of the worlds reserves of the metal...Go to reuters and see the rest of this article and see why John burbas MDLE is going to be in multiple spots amounst the few DLE techs..Amazing read on Reuters/exxon Mobil..and other mining giants...Burba Talks,...people will listen now..The stakes are high..the article by reuters and exxon mobil talks with international batteries and John Burba are fully detailed..Its obvious that we are going to run when news of substance/revenue are released..Exciting times ahead..and the early bird will get the worm.. multiple contracts. multiple locations...continents..look probable in next 12-18 months...sooner than ya think.IMO.
Been around 3 years, not sure why the Salton Sea is so attractive to you. Every piece of information available suggests IBAT isn't on the lithium graveyard.

This week we were at the 105th International Organizing Committee of the World Mining Congress, with the presentation of our president for Latin America, Rodrigo Dupouy. This was a great opportunity to present and talk with experts from the global mining industry about the challenges of lithium in Chile and the world, especially to be able to transition to a model of sustainable extraction of this mineral.
