Interlink Electronics, Inc. is engaged in the development of intuitive interface technologies and solutions for a variety of business and home applications. Its products enable a user to control and communicate with various products such as digital set-top boxes, digital televisions and other electronic products (collectively, appliances) by providing an intuitive device on which the user can remotely input a variety of commands. The Company's products incorporate patented sensor and wireless communication technologies, and proprietary applications and ergonomic designs. Products include interactive remote controls, pen input pads, wireless keyboards and integrated mouse pointing devices. Force Sensing Resistors (FSR) are key components of the Company's products.
LINK designs, manufactures and sells input devices for computers and other electronic products based on the Company's proprietary technologies, including Force Sensor Resistor technology. For the nine months ended 9/30/01, revenues fell 19% to $20 million. Net loss totaled $1.5 million vs. an income of $1.6 million. Revenues reflect the effects of the decline in the global economy. Net loss also reflect lower gross margins and higher marketing expenses.
