Global Launches Largest Buyout Fund In The Middle East
Capitalising on its private equity experience, Global Capital Partners Ltd has launched the 'Global Buyout Fund L.P.', which will aim to invest in high-potential companies in the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey. The Fund may also invest in Asian countries such as China, India and Pakistan.
Omar M. El-Quqa, Executive Vice President at Global, said that the launch had been inspired by Global's experience in making private equity investments, its regional relationships and its knowledge and understanding of the market, in addition to the significant untapped buyout potential in the region.
'We are currently managing over US$ 1 billion of private equity funds and have strong relations with investor groups in the region. And we are physically present in many of the target countries through our offices in the Middle East, North Africa and Asia.' 'Regional businesses are enjoying strong momentum,' added El-Quqa, which he commented had been 'especially driven by growing M&A activity.' This appealing investment environment is further supported, El-Quqa revealed, by the fact that 'The companies in the region, traditionally owned by the State or families, have become increasingly receptive to new investors including private equity funds.'
Global has one of the largest private equity team in the MENA region. The team is organized into transaction, due diligence and investment follow-up subgroups. The members of Global's private equity team have diverse sector experience and geographic experience in countries across the MENA region and South Asia, and collectively maintain a broad network of institutional relationships within the regions targeted for investment by the Buyout Fund. Additionally, Global's long financial research capabilities, and extensive due diligence process will definitely come into play.
Dash concluded that the Fund would give investors an opportunity to benefit from Middle Eastern private equity investments 'which had always remained a closely guarded jewel.
The team of Global Capital Partners is one of the largest private equity groups with a successful track record of private equity investments across Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, other Middle East, India and China.
not sure but check the news link....http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=gcap.pk
Is it the same GCAP? Sounds worse than NCFC as far as red flags.

didn't get a hold of this one yet
not the o/s, just the a/s by phone
Dunno who the t/a is. Pink Sheets no list it.
Could be... and that's good if that someone owns it or is authorized to do so. That's what we need to determine.
How did Delaware SOS confirm the o/s? They usually don't keep records of that, only what was issued at the time of last tax return which in this case was years ago.
I know they confirm the a/s using the telephone system.
But that doesn't matter. It probably is what you say as the last 10-Q said that and so the last Delaware filing would say it as well.
I think maybe an inquiry to NASD asking if the company initiated the symbol change and, if so, who the contact info is. I'll do that on Monday.
LifeGear, Since you have talked to some at the company I am wondering if you could get them to contact pinksheets. It would be good for all involved. I tried hilighting parts of interest.
See about getting the OS updated as of today's date, the last known address, par value, etc.

Eminant Domain claim?
I'll research delaware charters.
Who is the TA?
USE PM's if it looks golden
TA's job. who they be?
I didn't think SnP put any present CUSIP databases on line. Its reputedly to stop securites piracy LOL
Nah, if there's only 15 million shares, and no funny stuff, there could be something good here. But with a void charter and 5 years of doing nothing, then a symbol change just when we start talking about it..., I dunno.
Hmmm, I went to CUSIP trying to find this, but it's hard to look up because CUSIP's search eats the poopie.
http://www.isin.cusip.com/IsinServiceLogin.jsp
(registration is free, you guys try, might have better luck)
Because I search for Global Partners and nothing comes up.
So I search "starting with" and "Global" and nothing comes up, which is impossible because how many companies are listed that start with Global.
So I look at a company I had some docs on, and they do crap like appreviate "Land" with LD.
So I search for GBL for Global, and nothing.
So I guess we have to figure out how CUSIP abbreviates "Global."
ees zatrain rec looking4a place2crash ;)
No, I don't know. I really don't know what it means.
one good sign---NO R/S happened with the symbol change
are you trying to cause mAjOr dAmAgE here? lol
We'll need to know if a CUSIP was changed for the last symbol change. NASDAQ MARKET ACTIONS is wide awake on suspected pirated deals. Rumor has it NASDAQ already caught a dozen before the pins got pulled.
Corps requiring a NASDAQ symbol changes are MANDATED to deliver hard copy's
1)Certified Transfer Letter detailing OLD CUSIP /NEW CUSIP/RS /FS etc
2)Notorized Corp resolution Corp sealed /
voted share holder lists /minutes inclusive of all majority shareholders notorized vote sheet
3)Hard Copy Cert of revisions Amend in the State of incorp
Nasdaq asks for this multiple times ;) clever
These seem to be common sense - but there has been considerable "tightening up" and double checking of ligitimacy of all!
I doubt there will be many new piracy cases, but you never know .............
One huge sign that a deal is pirated is always massive unfounded volume, followed by Executive PR's ligit' or not stating all kinds of absolute crap is happening to the corp.
The Volume is wash designed to attract sheep, which to my absolute amazement still works, the PR's light up the momo players whose imagination and investment credo is little more that four letters and a ridulous chart.
Apart from the difference's evident in Delaware, you suspect piracy. Always start with a freindly call to the TA on record.
LOL that happens all the time, this kind of symbol change that is
Well that's the thing, they didn't change their name, unless they changed their CUSIP.
Since the corp. is void with Delaware, I'm just concerned about something like BHUB happening. You know, some third party coming in and claiming to a t/a that this is Global Capital when really it's a different corp., then dumping shares.
I have no information that this is happening, but it's all very odd a symbol change but nothing else.
Many times shortly after a symbol change good things begin to happen with a stock. It is a way of "shedding" their old name and starting over afresh. For one I am glad I grabbed a few shares! The symbol change will be a good thing.
Why would a dormant company that had no plans take the time and effort to change their symbol? They would not!
Suspicious since the company is still listed as void.
I mean you have to apply to NASD for a change, and why would you do that unless there was indeed a change?
just symbol change
So why did they change the symbol? Doesn't make sense. Was it a name change?
You're right, I have no clue what I'm talking about.
Hmmm when u call the number posted it says there is a new number 704-643-3055 which belongs to jmitelecom.com . Not saying there's an association, but something to look into.
it's fixed already
no...the o/s is too small
Why did they change the symbol was there a split?
I checked with the Delaware SOS and it's still showing an inactive corporation when you go in to pay the taxes.
The corp. ID is:
2324176
Hey lifegear, send a PM to Matt letting him know the symbol change so he can fix the ticker. Otherwise someone'll create a new board and we'll be stuck with a duplicate board.
I'd do it, but I don't want to step on the mods toes.
