the fiesta suffers from the salesmen.. i was going to buy one.. and the salesman kept trying to get me to buy the focus... he even walked me past the fiesta's and instead showed me the focus he had on the lot...

so what came of it... i bought two toyota prius... his and hers... i saved a huge amount of money on gas... my wife fills here car now every month and a half..

and I get away with one fill a week...

I got the truck for the boat...

the money I was spending driving the old GMC truck monthly on gas.. pays for both cars and the fill ups.

Escape SUV sales fell 20 percent as Ford clears out old models to prepare for the launch of the new Escape later this spring.

BY THE NUMBERS: Ford sold 180,350 cars and trucks, down from 189,778 in April of 2011.

TOP SELLERS: The Dearborn, Mich.-based automaker sold 47,453 F-Series pickup trucks, up 4 percent from a year earlier.

HOT MODELS: Both the Ford Focus sedan and Ford Edge crossover reported 12 percent sales gains. Sales of the recently revamped Lincoln MKS sedan and MKT crossover jumped more than 50 percent each.

Remember that 2013 Mustang Shelby GT500 that was supposed to have 650 hp?

Well, it has more.

A member of the TeamShelby.com forum was at a Mustang owners event last week getting a look at the car and speaking to the vehicle’s chief engineer, Jamal Hameedi, who told him the new pony has been officially certified at a whopping 662 hp and 630 lb-ft of torque, but still gets 24 mpg on the highway.

The new GT500 is powered by a supercharged 6.8-liter V8 that Ford claims is the most powerful V8 production engine in the world, outgunning both the 638 hp Corvette ZR1 and upcoming SRT Viper with its measly 640 hp V10. It has a top speed of over 200 mph and, according to the TeamShelby.com report, can reach 60 mph in first gear.

The GT500 goes on sale later this year with a sticker price of $54,995.

Ford Earnings Stall In 1Q On Poor Global Performance

Ford Motor Company (F 11.65 ?-1.81%) (NYSE: F) said Friday profits fell 20.5 percent, missing analyst predictions, on low European sales, plunging South American profit and a drop in Ford Credit profits. But the No. 2 U.S. automaker also cut its debt sharply.

Net income for the first quarter was $1.4 billion, or 35 cents per share, compared with $2.55 billion, or 61 cents per share, the year before, Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F) said.

Revenue fell to $32.4 billion, a decrease of $700 million from the year before.

Analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters expected Ford, on average, would earn about 39 cents per share on revenue of $30.5 billion.

It is institutional buy, after the earning release he wants to short normal margin will be 50 % of price but by this way it will be way less. It will limit his loss, he does not want open end risk.
Institution sell puts when they want to accumulate stock. They rarely buy calls.
Since he will make money while it is going down, then they will cover when most of us throw towel, and guess what people short at that level and then they run the price and screw on the way up.

Ford May 18 strike $12 a block of 20,000 option traded at 21 Cents.
Buyer will short the stock against the hedge. Stock has dropped since transaction.
Although chances are stock might trade between now and May 18 above $12.41.
I am still have same opinion that it will fill the gap of 10.80 first before moving up.
