You're correct about your analogy. However, that's not what I wrote in my post.

This company's OS on November 9, 2021 was 5,087,574 shares.
The first 4 hours of trading shows a volume of over 170 million.
Over 50% of today's trades are short sales.
Hence the reason why I wrote there should be a law against Shorts attacking a company like this.
