(EMIS) completed the previously announced merger with and into Emily Merger Subsidiary Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Novo Nordisk A/S, with EMIS continuing as a wholly owned subsidiary of Novo Nordisk. At the effective time of the Merger, each share of EMIS common stock issued and outstanding as of immediately prior to the effective time of the Merger was converted into the right to receive approximately $7.83."

Agreed 100%. If they did all they need to do this could see much higher than $20. Unfortunate they are simply using this as a cash cow and don’t really care about investors.

For maximum share price appreciation, EMIS must clarify goals: utilization of all milestone pymts. and royalties; corporate structure (new CEO?); exit dark status; up-list to new exchange; new EMIS partnerships; etc.. Current s.p. is solely due to Novo progress and communications. EMIS mgmt. must step up and market this company. Still believe stock will see $20.

FYI:: The news that has caused the rebound can be found on the Novo Nordisk web site and Emishphere’s website. Big thing is CV risk reduction data of oral Ozempic (Rybelsus) proved great and equal to that of Ozempic injectable. Also the uptake of physicians writing the drug is proving strong. Because there is royalties that Emisphere gets off each Rx of rybelsus this means billions of dollars for the future Emishphere. Most feel this is at least a $20 stock short term. Go to yahoo finance and read the stock board and you can see others opinions.

Yes, I think it’s due to darkness. I don’t understand why they haven’t announced the milestone payment which they should have received but Rubino is gone now so just a shell of a company. I still think it’s worth more $ but may be proved wrong. Volume was heavy yesterday on the downside.

Catty.... I believe it is largely profit taking. I don't believe this is based on anything fundamentally wrong with the company's current position, and in fact the company is arguably in the best position it's ever been in. However, people invest to make money, and some are in for the short game, while others chose to hold for what they believe will be more significant gains. And then of course some get panicked and sell. All actions are understandable, but right now I'm holding, since I still believe this is still early in the game (of course I'll be disappointed if I mis-judge this). Some may also have been hoping to capitalize on a quick buy-out, and since that hasn't happened, they decided to bail. It will also be awhile before the company starts recognizing significant revenue, and I think some just don't want to hang around waiting for additional developments, so they cash-out. I have been in this company for over 20 years and am anxious for things to develop, but I have sold no shares; because I believe there is potential for further appreciation. But holding this position is not always easy, as the last couple of days demonstrate.

Catty.....That's what I believe also. A few larger blocks went through; however the majority of trades were relatively small, and I think they were smaller shareholders / short-term traders just trying to realize some gains. And, there's nothing wrong with that. I think some of the action was panic (understandable), but I believe larger gains are still ahead. I don't think those selling had any special knowledge, since the majority of trades were small. Just my 2 cents.

Yes...Emis now has a significant source of income (plus multi-million in milestone pmts). This should establish a floor for the share price, and hopefully a share price increase
