Glad I stayed away from
Check RKLB, Space sector good for going long. Wise decision you made, doing the same. OTC is crap nowadays.
anything on the big boards...going to play the long game. :)
nah....just RIP. Dead. It was a race to the Tech and a bigger company/companies beat them to the punch. It was a risk. I just sold everything before it goes to EM. I knew it was a red flag as they couldn't produce a working prototype. Good luck to you guys. I'm putting my $ back into non OTC stocks. Aloha
2 scenarios transpired imo they came to the realization that the big satelite players will have no use for satenna or satenna itself just wasn't a possibility. My only hope is they keep up with staying current while exploring other business opportunities. Nothing is a given obviously
Hey, we had a great run and made good $$$.
And why is fiu extended out until Sept 20. Why not terminate both fiu and rich asap. If dloc has another plan and that's a big if is the reason rich is hanging around until end of October means he will have a hand in it?
No...great idea, terrible execution..by a known failure CEO. They really didn't dilute the crap out of it. Contact for Digital Locations cut off already. Great job all around.
Was it a scam from the get-go ?
Let's see what's up next.
It would make an good shell for someone else to start a company with. However, there is, from the little that I have gathered, quite a bit of debt on the books. Maybe they can try a spinoff.

Other than we are F@#Ked, still curious to find out, what?
"change in business strategy based on recent developments in the satellite communication industry"
So
Small cell site is dead,
Satellite to Ph is dead
What kind of company is DLOC?
Bummer. Oh well the more I've read and what some here put forward from sources it seemed inevitable . Will gut it out and see what ,if any, future direction they take.

Item 1.02 Termination of a Material Definitive Agreement.
On August 21, 2024, Digital Locations, Inc. (the “Company”) sent notice terminating the existing sponsorship agreement, as amended (the “Agreement”) with The Florida International University Board of Trustees ( “FIU”), to conduct the work related to the project entitled “Direct Phone to Satellite Communication.” The Company has decided to terminate the Agreement due to a change in business strategy based on recent developments in the satellite communication industry. The termination will be effective on September 20, 2024.
Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On August 15, 2024, the Board of Directors of the Company elected to terminate the Independent Contractor with Rich Berliner as of October 31, 2024. Mr. Berliner will continue to serve as the Company’s CEO and Director and receive compensation through October 31, 2024.
It has been 6 months since Satenna was announced, 3 months since millimeter antenna 95ghz, #RichBerliner please throw us a bone. Those youtube videos do not cut it anymore, while #ATT and #AST get ready to showcase. #TTM (time to market) is essential or atleast make some noise. This silence is deafening.
NOTE: This is all assuming someone from #Digitallocations is monitoring these posts;- Ha ha
Yes we know all about that and has been discussed at nauseam
"It’s been radio silence from management for awhile now"
BECAUSE
It’s been radio silence from management for awhile now. Not surprising considering this is the norm from them.
As one poster alluded to awhile back it's a race to the finish. Can dloc accomplish that is anyone's guess. What I do recall was rich saying back in May, when he payed a visit to fiu, that he was happy with the progress that's been made so far. Suppose we'll eventually find out good or bad
Well if you read the article I posted below it appears some of this technology is only months away from happening. There are also several other big players developing this tech besides ATT including starlink and Amazon. No mention of dloc and what exactly they are trying to accomplish.
Walsh if highspeed internet directly to your 5g cellphones to and from satellites is already in use where do we all sign up for it?
I don’t think it is out anywhere.
Digital Locations is working on it but i don’t think any of us has seen the product yet. That is why the timeline has been extended way out. Seems like it is harder to accomplish than originally thought.
Can that service stream netflix shows?
Can that service allow internet gaming?
There are devices from satellites to provide wifi to cellphones but you are limited to use and speed.
You would need that hardware device to provide that wifi.
Starlink you would need that device to provide wifi to your cellphone
Appreciate the input
Time to market is of essence.
Also can your retrofit already launched satellite with modification to accommodate "sat-direct-ph" change.
(Software can be uploaded, but a hardware approach is next to impossible)
Also things to consider, USA is not the only market. Regulations and boundaries have to be maintained, regulated. Current satelite to phone already takes into account the geofencing issues.
Based on all this, the digital location's approach is the best and a phone IMEI is the best approach to verification for securities and all.
Is there market for both approaches, ABSOLUTELY!!!
To address your concern,
Is there a market for mint mobile, trac phones, jitterbug etc why?
Verizon, T-Mobile and ATT have the transmission towers and own the networks.
Yet there is a market space for them, the same should be the case if Satenna will do what it says it will do.
That would be an interesting question to direct to the ceo. Inquiring minds want to know
Sorry for repeating my thoughts but then what's the use of developing satenna if direct cell to satelite is all that's needed. Even if a working prototype comes to fruition then what. Will the carriers and/or phone makers show any interest. If you look on digital locations website it can be somewhat disingenuous when they say that satenna is needed to connect people in parts of the world where satelites alone won't do it. Sure that's true but when the satelite companies can do w/o additional hardware to phones that to me says alot. Suppose we'll eventually find out one way or another
My understanding is ATT will use existing satellites so that eliminates that problem as well
The last information I provided is based on various articles that I have read and substantiated on Digitallocations.com website
"Our approach only requires modifications on the smartphone side. This breakthrough can potentially eliminate the need to make costly and time-consuming modifications to existing, as well as future satellites."
Using ChatGPT is not helpful in these situations because AI has no clue what dloc is actually working on behind the scenes because they simply haven’t reported it publicly yet. Just saying 🤷🏼♂️
Walsh, the AST - ATT approach utilizes Satellite side enhancement with no modification to the cell phone, where as DLOC
approach focuses on solving the technical challenges on the smartphone side. where the antenna on the phone is being worked with no reliance on satellite modification.(using satellite as-is)
Hence I am looking forward to a successful POC with no requirement for a special Satellite launch but a tie-up with a phone manufacturer who will incorporate the
Millimeter wave antenna, 94 GigaHertz patch antenna. Direct #Satellite to #Mobile #Internet #Digitallocations
Interesting conversation folks. This is what we need. This is the way true objective information gets distributed.
Thanks Much,
Big Benny
Read the article I posted below regarding AT&T. It certainly appears it exists
Per ChatGPT
Digital Locations, Inc. is working on technology aimed at enabling direct satellite-to-cell phone internet connectivity. The company is developing a technology called Satenna™, which is designed to deliver high-speed internet from satellites directly to smartphones. This effort is in collaboration with a research team at Florida International University (FIU).
Their approach focuses on solving the technical challenges on the smartphone side, which include overcoming the limitations of small antennas and low power that make it difficult for phones to communicate with satellites hundreds of miles away. Unlike other initiatives that focus on satellite-side improvements, Digital Locations is working to ensure that their technology could potentially be integrated into future smartphones, allowing them to connect directly to satellites for high-speed internet without the need for additional bulky equipment.
This development places Digital Locations alongside other companies like SpaceX (Starlink) and AST SpaceMobile, but with a unique emphasis on making this capability available on standard smartphones for widespread use? (GlobeNewswire)? (Digital Locations).
Walsh, "as it appears this tech already exists" is not true.
As of now, most satellite internet services require specialized equipment, and truly direct satellite-to-phone internet is not yet available.
AST SpaceMobile is one such company working on this approach. It is them we need to beat or we should be bought out or partner with them.
Again, I apologize for my abysmal laziness, and I don't mean to sound cynical, but is there really much of anything new in the latest 10-K that just came out?
BB
Well he’s really got nothing to lose since the study is through a grant that is being funded by the university. This inky silver lining to date means he shouldn’t have to dilute the stock. What we don’t know is if the study has bared any fruit and what is the scope of the study as it appears this tech already exists
Rich obviously has to know what he's up against with the big players even when satenna was just an idea. The question I ask myself is why even bring it to a development stage and why continue on with it? Does he know something outsiders don't or is this just deemed a hobby so to speak to say hey it works but nobody has any use for it being the satelite players don't need any hardware to go along with their services
Unfortunately that’s how I got stuck here with my remaining shares. Weeks turn into months. Months turn into years. It’s unlikely my 1 cent shares left over from the pump and dump days ever turn green but they are pretty much forgotten about at this point. I had hoped santenna would bail me out but it appears the tech is well advanced and ready to be used by the big players already .
Digital Locations, Inc. Announces Results for the Second Quarter and Six Months Ended June 30, 2024

I don't honestly know. But with something as big as satellite internet, I would think (a phrase that I almost never say anymore) that there are many technological hurtles that need to be overcome. Maybe there is a niche for DLOC that we don't know about. I guess I will just hold and wait and see. Sure as you-know-what, if I sell, the price will probably go up.
BB
does anybody really think the big players will leave something this critical just dangling in the wind
Tough not knowing and Rich has been known to disappear for long lengths of time. I remember when he first took over as ceo a few years ago you didn’t hear a word from him fit close to 18 months into his reign. The joke was he didn’t even exist. I had hoped he would do something with the small cell towers that owned but that like this new project appears to be a nothing burger
So in other words, are there still a lot of issues with satellite interaction both with phones and other WIFI seeking devices such as laptops and smart TVs?
BB
I think Rich should focus and shift a little into connecting home computers and other items within the home that need WIFI. I wonder if he reads these posts. He doesn't seem to be very open-minded. Maybe I or someone else should reach out to him and let him know that. All of your thoughts are welcome on this.
