Community Bancorp, headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, is the holding company for Community Bank of Nevada and Community Bank of Arizona. In 2002, Community Bancorp was formed as the holding company of Community Bank of Nevada, a Las Vegas based bank organized in July 1995 by local community leaders and experienced bankers with the mission of providing superior community banking services.
1995 - The first office, now our Rainbow branch, commenced operations in Las Vegas.
1997 - The Maryland Parkway branch opened in central Las Vegas.
1999 – We continue to grow with the opening of the Summerlin branch.
2000 - The Green Valley branch opened, marking expansion into Henderson.
2002 - Community Bancorp was formed. Community Bank of Nevada became a wholly owned subsidiary and Community Bank of Nevada shareholders became our shareholders. The City Centre branch opened in downtown Las Vegas.
2004 - The initial public offering of Community Bancorp’s shares was December 10, 2004.
2005 - We acquired Bank of Commerce in May 2005 adding three additional branches in the greater Las Vegas area. In October 2005, the Russell Road branch opened.
2006 - In September 2006, we expanded into Arizona through the acquisition of Cactus Commerce in Glendale. Cactus Commerce became a wholly owned subsidiary of Community Bancorp and was re-named, Community Bank of Arizona. In October 2006, we acquired Las Vegas based Valley Bank, which added five more branches to Community Bank of Nevada’s operations.
2007 - Community Bank of Arizona continued to expand in the greater Phoenix area and opened the Fountain Hills branch in May 2007 and the Central Phoenix branch in July 2007. In June 2007, Community Bank of Nevada opened the Centennial Hills branch, in the northwest region of the Las Vegas valley.
