Company History Billweb Corp began by partnering with Fprod Fenomen to create a children's web site designed to be the youngest, freshest, coolest place for pre-teens and teens around the world. It also signed an exclusive contract with former French Disney star and Disney Club host, Billy. A celebrity from an early age, Billy began hosting an FM radio children’s show at age 11. In 1992 he began appearing on Paris Television and thereafter joined the AB Production team as an assistant director. In 1996, the Walt Disney Company chose Billy as its “new face” to present the Disney Club broadcast on weekends on TF1. Billy immediately attracted attention, and for 3 years he imposed his own special tone on the show. Beginning in April of 1999, Billy has appeared, and will continue to appear, each day at 7:55 p.m. on major French network TF1, just prior to the evening news, on a program called HyperNet, which is aimed at familiarizing the French general public with the Internet. The show attracts over 6 million viewers every night. Contrary to the majority of start-ups, which often go about raising capital before they have fully developed their content, Billyweb has used its own capital to fund its start-up operations for the past two years. The company began trading on NASDAQ under the symbol BLWB in May of 2000. Partnerships Billyweb is a natural magnet for partnerships. Prior to its official launch, a number of prestigious companies displayed confidence in the brand and decided to join in the venture. Partners include LYCOS Tele 7 Jours Tfou, Tf1's youth site; MONSIERU CNEMA, film section partner; GAME LOG video games section partner; France MP3, music section partner; ALIDOO, "Your Dog and Your Cat" sections partner. Billyweb has also partnered with a prominent TV channel and production company, publishers of weekly TV and Internet magazines, a music producer, providers of cinema and videogames content, a 3D animation company and various artists and composers. Growth and Development The Company’s mission is to establish permanent brand name recognition for the host Billy and the Internet site Billyweb, on an international basis, with continuous emphasis in TV, music, videogames, shows, magazines and periodicals, live shows, events etc. The Company will initiate a stream of revenues when the geographical exposure of Billyweb has reached its critical mass. Revenues will accrue from a natural extension of the Company’s current activities and will range from TV production, Live and Radio shows, advertising, copyrights, endorsement and licensing, royalties on music production and database sharing. The development process of the Company involves several steps: < Various local hosts in a variety of international markets will be selected according to their sensitivity to the local teenage market, to present Billyweb TV and Radio Billyweb shows, which will share common characteristics of short, focused and area specific animation featuring Billy as guide to the Internet world. The key visual effect is obtained without any language reference, so that Billy can perform anywhere without dubbing. In addition to the local host and Billy, virtual video-composite characters appear in real time thanks to the technology developed in partnership with City Media. < A virtual “set” will be created online, in which a family of various characters derived from the real world play in motion. This “playground” is subject to constant evolution and re-design for endless surprise effects. First, a totally animated and fully interactive “shell” website developed on the common mold is provided for each market; second, editorial content is provided locally to the shell version of the original website, and enriched by a local team of specialized journalists. < On-line co-branding, partnerships and JV’s are actively negotiated for the purpose to reach the best possible content, optimize traffic and visibility and maximize profitability by reducing development costs. The various agreements are negotiated with leading companies that specialize in the teen market in Music, Video, Movies, Videogames, Toys, Fashion, Travel and Culture, History and Literature. < The final stage is to interconnect the different mirrored website platforms.
