Avantair was founded in July 2003 as the exclusive fractional provider of the Piaggio Avanti aircraft and in February 2006, became the only publicly traded stand-alone fractional operator in the industry. Under the entrepreneurial spirit and leadership of founder and CEO, Steven Santo, Avantair grew to one of the most unique fractional companies in the industry with the world's largest fleet of Piaggio Avanti's.
The Avanti - the world's fastest turboprop, rivals the speed of most light cabin jets. The aircraft also boasts the same size cabin cross section as a super mid-size aircraft and has the benefit of the fuel efficiency of a turboprop.
Santo and his team continue to develop programs and travel solutions that allow Avantair to provide the highest quality of customer service. A 120,000 square foot 24/7 state-of-the-art operations command center controls and tracks all aspects of your travel. The center also serves as our maintenance and interior completions center in St. Petersburg, FL. In addition to growth in the infrastructure, we continue to grow the fleet. Avantair and Piaggio Aero completed the largest order of Avanti's in the history of both companies in 2005. The order of 56 Avanti's totaled over $366 million dollars.

Axis Club Membership
This one-of-a-kind program offers a unique perspective for travelers interested in flying privately with lower upfront costs. Bridging the gap between the higher hourly costs associated with time cards and the initial financial commitment of a fractional share, Axis Club Membership provides operational and financial flexibility for travelers' needs. With a one time low membership fee, you can access blocks of 25 hours at a reduced rate resulting in a lower hourly cost. This exclusive membership is ideal for travelers who would like to reduce their initial financial outlay, prefer a shorter term commitment and fly between 50 to 400 hours per year.
Operations Control Center
Avantair's state-of-the-art Operations Control Center (OCC) is a 24/7 operation with the professional team to handle every detail to ensure the safety, comfort and completion of every trip. Licensed dispatchers, chief pilots, program managers and support staff work together to monitor and assess daily operations decisions that allow us to deliver impeccable service to our owners. They evaluate each flight prior to departure for such factors as weather, fuel requirements and runway conditions. Avantair's meteorologists give our pilots and dispatchers up-to-the-minute weather forecasts, by using state-of-the-art equipment to obtain and interpret data. Avantair exceeds strict aviation regulations and aircraft performance standards that are inherent to ensure the safety of our owners and their families.
