President Trump signed a landmark bill to regulate cryptocurrency on Friday, hailing the "exciting new frontier" for the technology one day after the bill passed the House.

The legislation, called the GENIUS Act, is the first major law governing digital currency, and establishes a regulatory framework for the $250 billion stablecoin market. Stablecoins are viewed as a relatively safe type of cryptocurrency since their value is pegged to other assets, like the dollar. The bill passed the House on Thursday with the support of 206 Republicans and 102 Democrats.

"We worked hard. It's a very important act, the GENIUS Act. They named it after me," the president joked in the East Room of the White House. "I want to thank you. This is a hell of an act."

Members of Congress and top executives from Robinhood, Tether, Gemini and other crypto and financial firms were in attendance for the signing ceremony.

The fate of the GENIUS Act was in question earlier this week when a dozen conservatives stymied a procedural vote. A compromise was ultimately reached, and the holdouts allowed the legislation to proceed. The president on Friday suggested that he spoke to the holdouts individually on the phone to persuade them, after House Speaker Mike Johnson told him there were a dozen Republicans opposing the bill.

"The good news is, I call up, 'Hello, Jim, how are you?' 'Sir, you have my vote.' Boom. 'Sir, you have my vote.' I really just, they just want a little love," he said. "Unfortunately, it's always the same 12 people."

David Sacks, the venture capitalist-turned Mr. Trump's AI and crypto czar, said the president "stepped in and saved this bill." Mr. Trump also said Vice President JD Vance had been on the phone late at night, helping push the legislation through.
What is the GENIUS Act?

The GENIUS Act (which stands for Guiding and Establishing National Innovation for U.S. Stablecoins) establishes guardrails and consumer protections for stablecoins. The bill also creates a legal category for stablecoins and establishes clear boundaries for which digital currencies could be referred to as stablecoins.

With the GENIUS Act signed into law, banks, nonbanks and credit unions can dive into the market by issuing their own stablecoins.

Along with being less volatile than other virtual currencies, stablecoins can facilitate faster, lower-cost financial transactions, supporters of the technology say. Before the Senate vote on the Genius Act in June, Sen. Bill Hagerty of Tennessee, the bill's sponsor, said stablecoins could allow businesses and consumers to settle payments "nearly instantaneously," rather than taking weeks.

"Just as I promised last year, the GENIUS Act creates a clear and simple regulatory framework to establish and unleash the immense promise of dollar-backed stablecoins," Mr. Trump said. "This could be, perhaps, the greatest revolution in financial technology since the birth of the Internet itself. A lot of people are saying that."

The president said the GENIUS Act provides banks and other financial institutions a framework for issuing crypto assets backed "one-for-one" with real U.S. dollars and Treasury bills, "strengthening the dollar" and allowing the entire U.S. financial system to be eligible for a "21st-century upgrade."

Lawmakers also approved two other cryptocurrency bills, capping what Republicans dubbed "Crypto Week" in Congress. The Clarity Act will regulate digital commodities beyond stablecoins, and the Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act prevents the Federal Reserve from issuing any retail central bank digital currency directly to Americans. The legislation is seen by the Trump administration and the crypto community as a way of bringing digital currency into the mainstream financial system.

"Let me say, the entire crypto community, for years, you were mocked and dismissed and counted out," the president said. "You were counted out as little as a year and a half ago. But this signing is a massive validation."

The Trump family's crypto investments have increased their wealth in recent months as the administration alters its regulatory approach to digital currency. The White House has insisted there is no conflict of interest, and the president's assets are in a trust managed by his children. Key crypto figures who were present Friday, including Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, backed Mr. Trump's campaign last year.

The president on Friday also touted his decision to pardon Ross Ulbricht, the founder of the internet marketplace Silk Road who was sentenced to life in prison in 2015.

The GENIUS Act wasn't the only bill that had House Republicans wringing their hands this week. The chamber also approved a request from the president to claw back about $9 billion in funding for foreign aid and public broadcasting in a late-night vote, signing off on changes the Senate made to the bill, known as a rescissions package, earlier this week.

Passage of the funding cuts was held up this week over Democratic efforts to force the release of files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Ultimately, the package passed the House along party lines, with two Republicans joining Democrats to vote against it. The bill claws back about $8 billion for foreign assistance efforts, including by the the U.S. Agency for International Development, and about $1 billion for public radio and television stations. The president is expected to sign it soon.

"REPUBLICANS HAVE TRIED DOING THIS FOR 40 YEARS, AND FAILED….BUT NO MORE," Mr. Trump wrote on Truth Social, referring to cutting funding to the corporation that oversees federal funds for NPR and PBS. "THIS IS BIG!!!"

Friday's signing ceremony for the GENIUS Act took place against the backdrop of increased focus on the Epstein case. On Thursday evening, Mr. Trump ordered Attorney General Pam Bondi to seek the release of grand jury material related to Epstein, a convicted sex offender who died in federal custody in 2019. Mr. Trump has faced increasing pressure to disclose more information about the case after the Justice Department said no further documents would be released following a review of the evidence.

"Based on the ridiculous amount of publicity given to Jeffrey Epstein, I have asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to produce any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony, subject to Court approval," the president wrote on Truth Social. "This SCAM, perpetuated by the Democrats, should end, right now!"

Bondi said the Justice Department is "ready to move the court tomorrow to unseal the grand jury transcripts." A judge will make the final call on whether the material can be made public, and the process could take weeks or months.

In the letter he sent this week to Interior Minister Moshe Arbel, US Ambassador Mike Huckabee lays out in detail new policies from the Visa Department toward Evangelical Christian organizations.

The letter, the existence of which emerged yesterday, has been obtained by The Times of Israel.

“As of the beginning of 2025, the Visa Department arbitrarily ceased honoring the recommendations of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and has initiated an independent investigation into each of the Evangelical organizations to ascertain whether or not they should be recognized as Religious Institutions and continue receiving visas,” writes Huckabee.

“This includes many historic organizations such as the Baptist Convention of Israel, Christian Missionary Alliance, Assemblies of God, etc., some of whom have been active here since before 1948. The vast majority of them have headquarters in the United States. They have all been required to fill out extensive questionnaires regarding their religious beliefs, their activities, their assets in Israel, etc. And to the best of my knowledge, none of them have received new A3 Clergy Visas since the beginning of the year, as they are all ‘under investigation.'”

Huckabee lists the Anglican School, IBEX from Masters University, University of the Holyland, and the Jerusalem University College as institutions that had received A3 Clergy visas for senior faculty since Israel’s early years, but have been told this year that they are no longer recognized as religious institutions for the purpose of obtaining visas.

“No specific explanation was given for this decision, and it has caused some major difficulties,” writes Huckabee.

“If they cannot receive A3 Clergy Visas, their only option is to apply for B1 Foreign Expert Visas – which is a visa category made for significant for-profit business enterprises. It has both a relatively high fee per visa each year – approx. USD $2,500- and a minimal salary requirement for each employee of twice the median salary in Israel – approx. NIS 22,000/month today – twice the standard salary of Israeli citizen teachers.”

He says that the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem is also having visas held up.

The ICEJ, which organizes the annual Jerusalem March, has changed countries’ stances on Israel, has been behind the moving of some embassies to Jerusalem, and has funded Jewish immigration and humanitarian projects within Israel.

“The Evangelical Christian community is perhaps the strongest and most faithful and fervent supporter of the Jewish people and the State of Israel. When antisemitism is growing around the world, the evangelical Christian community has remained steadfast and has become even more outspoken in support,” writes Huckabee. “It is also responsible for contributing millions of dollars to combat antisemitism and tangible support for Israeli causes through dozens of organizations such as International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, Samaritans Purse, Christians United For Israel, and numerous others.”

Huckabee also issues direct threats if the policy doesn’t change: “It would be very unfortunate that our Embassy would have to publicly announce throughout the United States that the State of Israel is no longer welcoming Christian organizations and their representatives and is instead engaging in harassment and negative treatment toward organizations with long-standing relationships and positive involvement toward Zionism and friendship to the Jewish people and the State of Israel.”

“We would further be obligated to warn Christians in America that their generous contributions to organizations to promote goodwill in Israel are being met with hostility and that tourists should reconsider travel until this situation is resolved with clarity,” he writes, adding that he would “have no other choice than to instruct our Consular Section to review options for reciprocal treatment of Israeli citizens seeking visas to the United States.”

“Surely this is NOT the relationship the State of Israel wishes to have with its best partner and friend on the planet.”

And I think that that is coordinated."

The host then asked how the investigation could move forward if nobody is willing to speak, and what options existed.

"The next step, in my opinion," the Arizona Congressman answered, "is you offer immunity to certain key individuals. It might be Dr. O'Connor, it might be Bernal, but you are going to offer immunity to them, and then they cannot take the Fifth anymore. It negates the Fifth because they have been offered a different way out."

Moreover, Biggs emphasized that "if they come in again, and they deny or refuse to answer questions, even after you have extended immunity, then you take them into contempt, and you get a federal court to hold them in contempt, and then they either go to jail or answer questions.

Butter since Trump was resistant and actually acted like he had something to hide, that sparked the Dems to want them released, since they think there’s dirt on Trump within them. So, when the files are released and they expose those that are actually guilty, which won’t include Trump, the Dems have no grounds to defend themselves. With Trump’s signature, it legally authorizes and embeds CORPORATE ISSUED STABLECOINS into the US financial system. This is NOT money. This is NOT cash. This is a permission slip OUTSIDE OF CONSTITUTIONAL AUTHORITY. A programmable, trackable, digitally managed token of control.

What they have done is eliminate the so called “FedCoin” narrative, (unpopular), and replaced it with a backdoor CBDC… a token that functions exactly the same, but is issued through private channels. Still… digitally created, monitored, programmable, traceable. Babylon just changed the label not the goal. We the People now forced into digital control, stripped of financial privacy, trapped in a system that can reshape your spending, your freedom, your LIFE.

Could Gen Z Flee the GOP for Socialist Policies?

Turning Point USA Founder Charlie Kirk recently warned that we could see “Mamdani-ism” spread across the country if the GOP doesn’t fix the homeownership problem and improve the cost of living. Translation: Zohran Mamdani’s potential win in the New York City mayoral race this year could drive the Democratic Party to embrace a socialist agenda, which might appeal to Gen Z if owning a home remains a pipe dream and paychecks barely cover the essentials. Kirk believes that the majority of young voters the Republicans gained during the 2024 election would then flock to the left to nab handouts. But are today’s young Americans so disaffected that they would buy into a collective creed and give the left a chance to centralize the economy nationwide?

Mamdani’s Appeal to Gen Z – Policy or Pessimism?

Mamdani is a self-described Democratic Socialist who many expect will be New York City’s next mayor, stirring controversy nationwide because he ran on a far-left platform that included rent freezes, city-owned grocery stores, free buses, and no-cost childcare. He may have won by pushing these ideas, but perhaps they weren’t the primary reason so many New Yorkers voted for him.

Mamdani did something the majority of elected Democrats seem to ignore nowadays: He tapped into the issues Americans are most concerned about and spoke directly to them. His methods might’ve been more central to his win than his message. That his proposed solutions to their problems were radical was probably less important to voters than the fact that he was speaking to them, addressing their needs and wants. Still, some believe Mamdani’s support was fueled by a sense of “pessimism, confusion, and vibes” among young people, explained The New York Post. “’They perpetually think things are awful,’ psychologist Jean Twenge told The Post. ‘It’s “Vote the bastards out,” no matter who is in office. Because [for Gen Z], things are always awful, even if they’re not.’”

If that’s the case, maintaining the youth vote in 2026 and 2028 might be difficult for the GOP, regardless of its successes. While voters aged 18 to 21 now favor Republican candidates by a margin of nearly 12 points, according to a recent Yale Youth Poll, there is a split between young (18-24) and old (25-29) Gen Zers. Several polls since the 2024 election have spotted a wedge: A higher percentage of the younger group identifies with the GOP, holds conservative views, and has more favorable views of Republicans in Congress, too. But it does appear the older half’s perception of congressional GOPers has become increasingly more positive. Also, the under-24 group tends to have more Republican-coded opinions on various policies and perceives Trump more favorably than the older cohort.


This means more kids are leaning right as they age, which could benefit Republicans for a decade or longer – if Kirk’s warning doesn’t come true. But if everything is always “awful” to Gen Z, maybe it won’t matter how successful the GOP is when 2028 rolls around. Still, would young adults really prefer more Mamdani-like candidates pushing a socialist agenda?

Democracy vs Socialism

Believe it or not, “62 percent of Americans aged 18 to 29 say they hold a ‘favorable view’ of socialism, and 34 percent say the same of communism,” according to a recent survey by the Cato Institute and YouGov. Of course, it’s unlikely the pollsters asked, “Are you in favor of a political theory that was the foundation for communism, which is responsible for tens of millions of deaths?” In fact, the poll did not define socialism, so there’s no way to know if the 2,000 participants understand its history and components. Even self-declared socialists often seem to disagree on what the term means. Some want central planning and heavy regulation; others favor a welfare state and wealth redistribution. The only thing most of them can agree on is that they hate capitalism.

Mamdani, though, is a “Democratic” socialist, and that extra word could make some think it’s a nicer version of socialism, one that can coincide with freedom. “They do not realize that democratic socialism, the great utopia of the last few generations,” wrote economist F.A. Hayek in The Road to Serfdom (1944), “is not only unachievable, but that to strive for it produces something utterly different—the very destruction of freedom itself.”

The two are seemingly incapable of coexisting. “Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word: equality,” said philosopher Alexis de Tocqueville in 1848. “But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty, socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude.”

After Mamdani’s primary win, it is realistic to think more socialist candidates will emerge to attract those who are unfamiliar with socialism’s real effects and the damage it has caused. “If millions of young Americans don’t know the basic facts about ideas that enslaved nearly half the world and helped launch World War II,” explained the Cato Institute, “how can they make sound decisions about policies — or whom to vote for?” Today might be a good time to start educating young minds on this.

The Democratic Blues

For the Democrats to gain a higher percentage of the youth vote would likely require more than Trump failing to improve the cost of living. The party’s credibility has nosedived since the 2024 election, and it is floundering, with no direction, no clear leader, no message, and no unity. Voters perceive the party as “out of touch,” “woke,” and “weak,” according to a poll by Unite the Country, a Democratic Super PAC. An AP-NORC poll recently revealed only 35% of Democrats are “optimistic about the party’s future,” a number that was nearly 60% a year ago. Meanwhile, its approval ratings teeter around 35% as the party continues to lose Hispanic men, white men, and working-class voters.

Despite 2028 being a few years away, it seems improbable that a slew of Republican-leaning Gen Zers will hop the fence if the cost of living doesn’t decrease and homes remain out of reach. A bigger threat to the GOP losing Gen Zers might be their pessimism and low trust in public institutions and the government, which could drive them out of the political realm entirely.

Jaguar to Cut 500 Management Jobs as Sales Plunge 97.5 Percent After Disastrous Woke Rebrand

Jaguar Land Rover’s woke rebrand has backfired spectacularly, and sadly, its employees are now paying the price.

After recently announcing a staggering 97.5 percent drop in global sales, the company is now look to slash 500 management level jobs less than a year after they launched a major woke rebrand of the company.

Sky News reports:

The UK-based firm said the reduction in management roles, which amounted to 1.5% of its workforce, would be completed through a voluntary redundancy programme.

JLR has been struggling recently off the back of the US trade war. It temporarily paused exports to the US, its biggest single foreign market, in April after Donald Trump’s hike to duties covering cars to 25%.

It was later trimmed to 10% under the US-UK trade truce agreement, but that rate only covers the cars it makes in the UK.

The terms of the deal also cap total annual car exports to the US at 100,000 models, with the higher rate applying to any vehicles over the threshold.

While the company is attempting to pin the drop in sales on President Trump, the real issue lies in its recent woke rebrand.

The once-iconic manufacturer — long associated with power, style, and elegance — has tarnished its image with a misguided advertising campaign aimed at “reimagining” the brand.

Released last November, the ad featured an ethnically diverse and seemingly gender-fluid group of individuals prancing around in bizarre, avant-garde clothing.

Despite the major backlash, Managing Director Rawdon Glover later defended the marketing decision and insisted the company needs to stand out.

“If we play in the same way that everybody else does, we’ll just get drowned out,” he said.

“So we shouldn’t turn up like an auto brand. We need to re-establish our brand and at a completely different price point, so we need to act differently.”

Meanwhile, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer recently said he had made good on a promise to company workers that he would “protect their jobs.”

Biggs Suggests Immunity for Biden Aides to Uncover Truth of Biden's Decline

Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) suggested extending immunity to several aides of former President Joe Biden to uncover the full extent of the coverup to hide Biden's mental incapacity during his term in a recent appearance on Newsmax's Wake Up America.

Rep. Biggs posted the clip to X (formerly Twitter), saying, "Kevin O'Connor and Anthony Bernal's refusal to answer questions about Joe Biden's mental capacity illustrates a clear, coordinated coverup of the truth. If we immunize them, they can no longer plead the Fifth. If they still refuse to answer? Contempt of Congress."

As the Washington Post described, both Dr. O'Connor and Anthony Bernal, First Lady Jill Biden's chief of staff, refused to testify on the true nature of President Biden's cognitive decline, which resulted in the apparent use of an autopen without the President's knowledge to pass policy.

Within the clip, Rep. Biggs believed their silence is "a coordinated effort, because in the recent weeks, you have got multiple former Biden officials or Democrat officials coming in for multiple committees, and the answer to every question other than 'What is your name?' and how to spell it is 'taking the Fifth.' And I think that that is coordinated."

The host then asked how the investigation could move forward if nobody is willing to speak, and what options existed.

"The next step, in my opinion," the Arizona Congressman answered, "is you offer immunity to certain key individuals. It might be Dr. O'Connor, it might be Bernal, but you are going to offer immunity to them, and then they cannot take the Fifth anymore. It negates the Fifth because they have been offered a different way out."

Moreover, Biggs emphasized that "if they come in again, and they deny or refuse to answer questions, even after you have extended immunity, then you take them into contempt, and you get a federal court to hold them in contempt, and then they either go to jail or answer questions.

Huckabee’s threatening letter: We will warn Christians to reconsider visits, their goodwill is being ‘met with hostility’ by Israel

In the letter he sent this week to Interior Minister Moshe Arbel, US Ambassador Mike Huckabee lays out in detail new policies from the Visa Department toward Evangelical Christian organizations.

The letter, the existence of which emerged yesterday, has been obtained by The Times of Israel.

“As of the beginning of 2025, the Visa Department arbitrarily ceased honoring the recommendations of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and has initiated an independent investigation into each of the Evangelical organizations to ascertain whether or not they should be recognized as Religious Institutions and continue receiving visas,” writes Huckabee.

“This includes many historic organizations such as the Baptist Convention of Israel, Christian Missionary Alliance, Assemblies of God, etc., some of whom have been active here since before 1948. The vast majority of them have headquarters in the United States. They have all been required to fill out extensive questionnaires regarding their religious beliefs, their activities, their assets in Israel, etc. And to the best of my knowledge, none of them have received new A3 Clergy Visas since the beginning of the year, as they are all ‘under investigation.'”

Huckabee lists the Anglican School, IBEX from Masters University, University of the Holyland, and the Jerusalem University College as institutions that had received A3 Clergy visas for senior faculty since Israel’s early years, but have been told this year that they are no longer recognized as religious institutions for the purpose of obtaining visas.

“No specific explanation was given for this decision, and it has caused some major difficulties,” writes Huckabee.

“If they cannot receive A3 Clergy Visas, their only option is to apply for B1 Foreign Expert Visas – which is a visa category made for significant for-profit business enterprises. It has both a relatively high fee per visa each year – approx. USD $2,500- and a minimal salary requirement for each employee of twice the median salary in Israel – approx. NIS 22,000/month today – twice the standard salary of Israeli citizen teachers.”

He says that the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem is also having visas held up.

The ICEJ, which organizes the annual Jerusalem March, has changed countries’ stances on Israel, has been behind the moving of some embassies to Jerusalem, and has funded Jewish immigration and humanitarian projects within Israel.

“The Evangelical Christian community is perhaps the strongest and most faithful and fervent supporter of the Jewish people and the State of Israel. When antisemitism is growing around the world, the evangelical Christian community has remained steadfast and has become even more outspoken in support,” writes Huckabee. “It is also responsible for contributing millions of dollars to combat antisemitism and tangible support for Israeli causes through dozens of organizations such as International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, Samaritans Purse, Christians United For Israel, and numerous others.”

Huckabee also issues direct threats if the policy doesn’t change: “It would be very unfortunate that our Embassy would have to publicly announce throughout the United States that the State of Israel is no longer welcoming Christian organizations and their representatives and is instead engaging in harassment and negative treatment toward organizations with long-standing relationships and positive involvement toward Zionism and friendship to the Jewish people and the State of Israel.”

“We would further be obligated to warn Christians in America that their generous contributions to organizations to promote goodwill in Israel are being met with hostility and that tourists should reconsider travel until this situation is resolved with clarity,” he writes, adding that he would “have no other choice than to instruct our Consular Section to review options for reciprocal treatment of Israeli citizens seeking visas to the United States.”

“Surely this is NOT the relationship the State of Israel wishes to have with its best partner and friend on the planet.”
