Vecta Energy Corporation is a growth-oriented, exploration focused oil and natural gas company with headquarters in Calgary, Alberta. Vecta is listed on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol VER-TSXV. Vecta’s strategy is to focus on growing its asset base through joint venture opportunities, land acquisitions, corporate and property acquisitions and exploratory and development drilling.

Vecta has non-operated interests in three areas: the foothills of Alberta, northeast BC and the Brewster area in central Alberta. In addition, Vecta has entered into a Joint Venture arrangement with a private US oil and gas company to participate in the Exshaw/Bakken light oil resource play. The Joint Venture lands cover approximately 120,000 acres over the Sweetgrass Arch area in northwest Montana. Under the terms of the Joint Venture arrangement, Vecta will hold a 50% interest in the Joint Venture. The company is currently working on the terms of a commercial arrangement with a goal to commencing operations in the fall of 2011.
