I was sent the following information regarding Heat Sink/LED Technology and thought it good information to post regarding the recent B.I. PR

There are several links at the end that provide info on the Company referenced in the PR -> JBT

If you want to explore the LED market evolution / revolution do a "search" of heat sinks on this website, referenced in the PR.

I took a minute to read the LED's Magaizine article referenced in the PR. It truly is a growing market especially in China as they build out their infrastructure with 21st century products and ideas. I got to thinking...The important points are the "payback" point for the LED investment and the heat sink industry is ripe for a game changer (providing the cost premium for Kryron is not prohibitive).

For comparison and education of the many types of heat sinks:

Reducing heat build up extends product lifespan, expands design and installation options and broadens lighting applications, reduces utilities energy expenditure and E-grid stress = faster payback.

Therefore, it's a short leap to hypothesize how the JBT heat sink success translates directly to the "cooler electrical busbar" we used to think of as the best natural market for Bourque Industries. China would be a perfect early adopter and supplier for all types bus bars for E-grid and electrical appliances.

Why couldn't Bourque revolutionize that market too ? While JB is over there maybe take a side trip to this large Chinese bus bar company - or 300 others:

Trying to "save" copper, they offer a copper clad aluminum product. Wouldn't Kryron aluminum be better at comparable cost without the concern of theft as there is no re-sale "commodity" unlike copper ?

LED Magazine article excerpt:
"In the survey, lighting professionals and consumers were also asked to identify a payback period (in years) that would encourage them to choose LED over traditional lighting, by application. The results showed that most people required payback of three years or less.

A key finding of the report is that growth of the general lighting market is highly correlated with local construction investment, so it is no surprise to see that Asia, and China in particular will experience the most-rapid growth. Asia already accounts for around 35% of the general-lighting market, and this figure is set to rise to around 45% by 2020. Europe and North America will follow, with market shares of 25% and 20% respectively.

The local landscape of fixture manufacturers depends on the region: there are over 100 fixture companies in Europe, but in the US the fixture market is relatively consolidated with four large companies. In Japan, the top two companies have a large market share, while China has many local companies including OEM suppliers for overseas brands.

In Asia, North America and Europe, the current LED share of the general-lighting market is similar, at around 7%, but in each case this is expected to grow to around 70% by 2020. LED penetration will be slightly higher in Europe and North America than in Asia."

Strangely, the PR has the China website link, so I found the English site.
