SINBON, Valence Announce Battery Pack Design and Distribution Deal
- SINBON Electronics to Manufacture and Market Battery Packs Using Valence Technology's SAPHIONTM?Lithium-ion Battery Cells -
NEW YORK (March 3, 2003)- SINBON Electronics announced today that it has forged an agreement with Valence Technology, Inc., a leader in the development and commercialization of Saphion?technology and Lithium-ion polymer rechargeable batteries, to design, manufacture and distribute battery packs utilizing Valence's Saphion?battery cells.
Under the terms of the agreement, SINBON Electronics will develop and sell customized battery packs using battery cells powered by Valence's breakthrough Saphion?Lithium-ion technology - a high-energy density, environmentally friendly, phosphate-based battery technology used in products such as tablet PCs and portable battery systems.
SINBON will design and assemble these Saphion?Lithium-ion battery packs at its Taiwan facilities, then directly sell customized systems to electronics, telecommunications and industrial and consumer computer manufacturers throughout Asia and North America.
