You'll usually find lighting company run by lighting guys.

Saavy businessmen stay away from fashion oriented businesses like lighting companies. Selling to Lowes and Home Depot usually gets small companies into lots of problems. They grind you on price and if the product doesn't sell because they merchandise it poorly the vendor gets blamed.

How do I know? Been there, done that twenty years ago. Won't make that mistake again.
