Why September May Slow Further S&P Records
September has recently started shedding its reputation as one of the worst stock market months of the year, but strategists note the psychological pressure of big round numbers in the S&P 500 Index and the looming end of Federal Reserve asset purchases may serve to reinforce the month's stereotype.

CPTCQ 0004X0005 AEP Will Use CTC Global ACCC Conductor In Texas Project CTC Global has signed a purchase agreement with American Electric Power (AEP) for the delivery of over 1,665 miles of its proprietary ACCC conductor to be used in the 345 kV Valley reconductoring project in south Texas.

The project includes the replacement of two existing double-bundle 345 kV circuits, as well as an upgrade of substation facilities, at a total cost of $225 million. AEP says it selected CTC Global's ACCC conductor to increase line capacity without impacting clearances or requiring extensive tower modifications or replacement. The lines will remain energized during the reconductoring.

"We are excited to see the large-scale adoption of our ACCC conductor for such an important project," says Jason Huang, CEO of CTC Global.

Production of ACCC conductor for the first phase of the Valley project has already begun. Deliveries will begin in the third quarter of 2012 and continue into 2014
