Not only were the filings real, but so were all the escape clauses...
the ones most FFGO investors probably never bothered to read, much less heed.
NMGL always made it crystal clear that would remain very quiet regarding their business and were under no legal obligation to inform anyone about what was happening with the entire dividend process including its cancellation, should they choose to exercise that option.
Those waiting for such updates, especially of a cancellation, better go back and reread the legal document.
