There is no link between the email address used to sign up and the email address used for board mail. We try to use whatever you put in. What I do see is a lot of typos. When I redo the signup page, I'll add some rudimentary sanity checks for a valid email address (which it doesn't have now).
They can get boardmail as a free user.
