July 28, 2012 Global Technologies Group Inc. has reached a verbal agreement with MERDI to purchase the longtime Butte engineering company MSE Inc.
Global Technologies Group, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: GTGP) announces that execution of a Letter of Intent (L.O.I.) with the Montana Economic Revitalization and Development Institute, Inc. (MERDI) for the acquisition of 100% of the equity interest of MSE, Inc. and its subsidiaries MSE Technology Applications, Inc., MSE Infrastructure Services, Inc. and MSE Western Environmental Services & Technologies, Inc. (collectively referred to "MSE" or the "Companies"). The L.O.I. is the result of a review of the terms of the acquisition with the board of MERDI regarding this purchase and have led to the execution of the L.O.I. Our lawyers and accountants are creating a timetable for the exchange of documents in order to prepare the purchase contract. The closing date that was set in the L.O.I will be on or before August 15, 2012. Global Technology Holdings, Inc. is the purchaser.
The centerpiece of this acquisition is the 52 acre Mike Mansfield Advanced Technology Center, a former Department of Energy facility which houses all of MSE, Inc. subsidiaries and includes labs, engineering, research and development departments and corporate offices, located in Butte, Montana.

(PINKSHEETS: GTGP) Global is pleased to announce that negotiations with the U.S. military through its agent, retired Colonel Sandy Pogue, to infuse the IFS-2c technology for mercury and other metals remediation systems into working power plants located at Forts Hood and Fort Bliss in order to document the cost effectiveness associated with mercury removal from coal burning power plants stacks and reconfirm the remediation of the contaminated ash by-product. The process to integrate the system into the power plants has already been approved by the Council of Colonels at (Fort Hood), and the Army 3rd Core. Cement Plant Mercury Emissions Final certified Testing Using MBS
Global Technologies Group, Inc. (Global) contracted MSE Technology Applications, Inc. (MSE) to perform a series of tests to determine if Molecular Bonding System (MBS), a metals treatment agent, can reduce mercury concentrations within a moist gas stream at elevated temperatures specifically for cement plants. MBS has historically been used to bond with metals in contaminated soils and has also been previously tested to reduce mercury emissions in a power plant with success.

The Phase 1 go/no-go testing proved that MBS when combined with PAC can remove more than two times the amount of mercury than PAC can remove alone. These tests also proved that MBS alone can remove more than five times the amount of mercury from a nitrogen off-gas than PAC alone.
Phase II Testing confirmed that MBS does not introduce any NOX, SOX, or acid gasses into the off-gas stream. Phase II Testing also proved that the combined MBS and PAC treatment agents can remove more mercury from off-gas than PAC alone, and that MBS alone can remove almost four times as much mercury than PAC alone in a compressed air system.
Because the combination of MBS and PAC can remove substantially more mercury from an off-gas system than PAC alone, MSE recommends that the MBS technology be implemented at full scale in a cement plant with a PAC system. The MBS technology could also be implemented as a stand-alone technology for mercury emissions reduction.
"As a result of the successful testing of the MBS treatment for removal of Mercury from flue gases, we are preparing the final documentation for dissemination to the Portland Cement Association and its members worldwide and the various cement and power companies we have previously discussed this treatment with and our contacts in China, Singapore and India who have been waiting for this certified final report.
"We have also appointed MSE Technology Applications, Inc., to handle all the testing, monitoring, setup, technical aspects and implementation of our coming projects," stated James Fallacaro, President.
The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will implement new mercury emissions regulations in 2013 and many cement plants and Power plants will not be able to meet the more stringent regulations. Some of these plants have installed powdered activated carbon (PAC) systems in an attempt to reduce mercury emissions to comply with the new regulations. However, mercury emissions have not been reduced enough to meet the new regulations at some of the plants.

Global Technologies Group, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: GTGP) -- As a result of the Cement Plant Mercury Emissions Final certified Testing Using MBS, MSE Technology Applications, Inc. (MSE) was contacted and met with Mark Gilbertson Environmental Management (EM) at Department of Energy who reports to Alice Williams, Associate Principal Deputy Secretary for the US Department of Energy Office & Y-12. Mark recently heard about the MSE cement plant testing using MBS for mercury emission reduction and requested additional project information about the MBS technology for possible application at Oak Ridge. http://www.oakridge.doe.gov/external/ MSE sent all data regarding the background, use, EPA, Brook Haven National Labs testing and projects that were employed using the MBS technology.

STATEMENT OF ADMINISTRATION POLICY
S.J. Res. 37 – Disapproving EPA's Mercury and Air Toxics Standards (Sen. Inhofe, R-OK)
The Administration strongly opposes S.J. Res. 37, which would overturn long-overdue national clean air standards limiting power plant emissions of toxic air pollution, including mercury. As a result, this resolution would cause substantial harm to public health and undermine our Nation's longstanding commitment to clean up pollution from power plants. Since it was enacted in 1970 and amended in 1977 and 1990, each time with strong bipartisan support, the Clean Air Act (CAA) has improved the Nation's air quality and protected public health. Since 1970, the economy has grown over 200 percent while emissions of key pollutants have decreased more than 60 percent. More than forty years of clean air regulation has shown that a strong economy and strong environmental and public health protection go hand-in-hand. S.J. Res. 37 would undermine more than forty years of CAA progress by blocking the Mercury and Air
Toxics Standards, the first national standards to protect American families from harmful power plant emissions of mercury and other toxic air pollution like arsenic, acid gases, nickel, and chromium.
By addressing the largest remaining source of mercury emissions in the United States, these standards will reduce our children's exposure to this neurotoxicant which can impair their ability to think and learn. Because technology to control toxics also reduces fine particle pollution, the standards will help America's children grow up healthier, preventing 130,000 cases of childhood asthma symptoms and over 6,000 cases of acute bronchitis among children each year. EPA further estimates that emissions reductions resulting from meeting these standards will prevent as many as 11,000 avoidable premature deaths and 4,700 heart attacks, annually. The annual value of these health benefits alone is estimated to be as much as $90 billion. In addition, the standards will reduce the risk of numerous other nonmonetized yet devastating health effects, including illnesses of the central nervous system, damage to kidneys, and cancer.
The Mercury and Air Toxics Standards will ensure that the Nation's power plants install modern, widely available technologies to limit harmful pollution – leveling the playing field for power plants that already have such controls in place. The standards are achievable; pollution control equipment that can help meet them already is installed at more than half of the Nation's coal-fired power plants. Numerous studies, including analysis by the Department of Energy, have projected that the standards can be met without adversely affecting the adequacy of electric generation resources in any region of the country. Finally, if a rule is disapproved under the Congressional Review Act, an agency may not issue a rule that is “substantially the same.” In this case, because EPA has adhered closely to its narrowly 2 circumscribed authority under the CAA in promulgating these standards, the enactment of S.J. Res. 37 could effectively prevent EPA from ever limiting mercury and air toxics pollution from power plants.

Global Technologies Group Inc is a company with an exclusively licensed patented system to clean earth polluted with heavy metals using an EPA tested and approved method which qualified it for Superfund approval. Global Technologies Group, Inc. (Global) contracted MSE Technology Applications, Inc. (MSE) to perform a series of tests on behalf of a cement plant to determine if a Molecular Bonding System (MBS), a metals treatment agent, could further reduce mercury emissions under conditions typically found at cement plants. Historically, MBS has been used to bond with metals in contaminated soils and has also been previously tested to reduce mercury emissions in a power plant with success. MBS was tested by the EPA for a Superfund Innovative Technology Evaluation Demonstration at the Midvale Slag Superfund Site in Midvale, Utah, with waste ores passing the EPA’s Multiple Extraction Procedure 1000 year test for arsenic, cadmium, and lead. MBS was also tested by the Brookhaven National Laboratory using Brookhaven’s radiologically contaminated soil spiked with cadmium and lead and the treated soil samples were well below the Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure limits.
"Global is pleased that the length of this run was extended for a two week period by the plant as it will give both the EPA and the DOE hard data results for an extended period of time as opposed to the three day run originally scheduled. This extended run requested by the plant is a strong indication of the interest and value of utilizing MBS and its use in that industry and final verified data for the DOE and the EPA for mercury removal from stack gasses. This will be the final precursor for moving towards the use of MBS in all areas of both the cement and power plant industries as well as the DOE and EPA benchmarking MBS for best use status. MBS is the most effective system to chemically alter the form of heavy metal contaminants into a non-hazardous, stable compound. The simplicity of the MBS process combined with its modular / transportable design and fully enclosed operational system (preventing the release of contaminants or secondary wastes), provides lower operating costs, enhanced safety and reduced emissions of secondary wastes.
The inherent ability of MBS to transform hazardous contaminants into non-hazardous, insoluble compounds can facilitate on-site disposal of a variety of wastes. * Patented MBS waste water treatment technology to remediate all metals including mercury in waste water from coal burning energy plants.
* All intellectual property and know-how as it relates to household and other self-remediating batteries, including all prototypes.
* IFS-2C technology for the remediati on of mercury contaminated coal ash and other U.S. EPA listed hazardous heavy metal contaminated wastes produced in coal burning Portland Cement plants.
The Coal burning power plant industry in the U.S. consists of approximately 1,300 coal-fueled power plants supplying 50% of electrical power plant energy requirements for the U.S. There are also 17,000 factories, refineries and chemical plants, along with the power plants, that emit millions of tons of pollutants into the air (N.Y. Times article 3/18/06). Coal is plentiful; however it does contribute to environmental pollution. Solucorp’s technology is a viable solution to the mercury contaminated flue gas emissions problem generated by fossil fuel. The negative impact of closing coal burning power plants would have a catastrophic effect on the energy supply, the way of life and would further increase dependence on foreign oil. U.S. Power Plants annual spending will soon exceed $40 billion in an effort to eliminate environmental hazards which include mercury emissions. Global consumption of coal is currently in excess of five billion tons per year with China burning 1.531 billion tons, Europe 1.305 billion tons, U.S. 1.094 billion tons and the remaining 1.410 billion tons by the other countries. The patented technology developed by Solucorp Industries and purchased by EMHI is designed to make coal the primary source of power energy while reducing world dependency on foreign oil and other power sources.The IFS-2C technology, patented in 1999, has undergone several successful independent tests to review its effectiveness in significantly reducing hazardous mercury emissions from energy plants. The U.S., Europe and China have hundreds of years of coal supplies. Two hundred eighty one million dollars ($281,000,000) of government funds have been pledged for developing cleaner coal burning power plants. The IFS-2C mercury emissions technology has already been tested by the Environmental Energy Resource Center (EERC): North Dakota (JVTASK73 10/05).On August 6, 2010 the EPA issued amendments to the Portland cement manufacturing regulations and new source performance standards. The amendment was set in place to reduce annual mercury emissions by an estimated 92 percent. Existing kilns must comply within 3 years of this rule. New kilns built after May 2009 must comply at the startup or within sixty days after the rule was published. The IFS2C technology allows the cement industry to meet these requirements. There are an estimated 181 Portland cement kilns that will be operating at 100 different facilities throughout the United States by 2013. The amended air toxic requirements will apply to 158 of those kilns. The cement industry is the third largest producer of mercury emissions in the U.S.
They have rights to the MBS technology for power plants. We have a joint venture with them thereby giving us access to the power plant market. The rights to cement and brownfields however are ours exclusively!!
