It appears the noose is getting tighter and tighter on Nokia. Its now they basically are saying IDCC has the right patents but they declared them so we want to pay a lower rate. In other words there not infringing is and has always been crap.
I wonder is QCOM considering trying to bid for IDCC as that would put them in a stranglehold position on the wireless market. They and I may be wrong on this but may be at risk with TDDSCDMA getting a big market share. I just have a feeling QCOM will put a bid in for IDCC.
I think you can turn the heat down on Nokia as I think the goose is about cooked. I look for a settlement with Nokia and since they are in serious trouble already, I think the settlement will involve transfer of patents as I don't think they have the cash reserved to pay what they owe IDCC. Now Google is flush with cash to pay what Motorola owes, and I presume Ericsson will have the cash or some valuable patents also to get settled up with IDCC.
If you want in the cat birds seat I suggest buyinng the living hell out of IDCC as things are coming together FINALLY.
Off the subject I see Alfred E Newman got his way on the health care plan. He is a dead wringer of a black Alferd E. Newman.
