Actually, this is a very old, tried and tested idea. During WWI, the Germans were using ozone containment bags to cure blisters from mustard gas. Apparently, the ozone cured the blisters and eliminated infections at the same time. I may not have my facts exactly right because this tidbit is from memory about something I read many years ago. However, I think it is essentially right.
