The government should get out of the business of picking companies to invest in. Imagine if all that government money had been spent on greening the energy profile of government buildings. Investing in proven technologies to conserve energy and generate energy on-site, via solar hot water and photovoltaics. That would have helped the solar industry immensely, and would have reduced Uncle Sam's energy bill for years to come. A win for taxpayers, and a win for the green economy.
