Toofuzzy,
Recently I've been doing what I can to keep the discussion on this board focused on precious metals. As a result I've been required to first warn, then ultimately delete posts that are politically motivated, or just plain off topic. I do this so that we don't have to sift through a never ending supply of election year political rhetoric to read/learn about the subject of precious metals, which is why the majority of posters here frequent this board. I must therefore give you a warning to stay on subject, by trying to include precious metals in your future posts. Future off-topic posts will be deleted...regardless of whether I agree with them or not, or think they are of merit.

I will say this in response. I am very wary of our governments attemps at controlling our economy. Control which is demonstrated by the supression of precious metals this past year. I firmly believe that the way through the global financial crisis and maintain the dollar as the world's reserve currency, is to re-establish precious metals ties to the dollar, in addition to controlling increases of tax revenue. This will control government spending (exponential increases in the money supply), and by definition, inflation, and will benefit savers, and will help the banks create money the old fashioned way...by loans of savings (re)deposited into banks. Of course, we can kick the can down the road, and put off doing anything to correct the problem...but look at how this is working out for the EU. Just my two cents worth...S_P
