Flowid B.V. is consortium partner in a grant that has been awarded by the Dutch Polymer Institute (DPI) to scale-up and optimize the manufacturing of CriPec® nanomedicines, a technology of Cristal Delivery B.V. The strong consortium is beeing completed with the expertise of PolyVation B.V., BioConnection B.V., and the Department of Pharmaceutics (Utrecht University).

The unique platform technology of transiently stable, polymeric nanoparticles called CriPec® is developed by Cristal Delivery. The nanoparticles have an exclusive position in the nanomedicinal field as they combine the best features of known nanoparticles into one tunable system.

The aim of the current project is to make substantial steps forward in the manufacturing and analysis of various intermediates and final polymeric nanomedicines, in order for the CriPec technology® to be ready for clinical development. For this, Flowid will convert the current method of formation to a scaled up continuous process. Besides Flowid and Cristal Delivery, the consortium is extended with other Dutch partners, experts in the field of polymer synthesis (PolyVation B.V.), filling & finishing (BioConnection B.V.) and characterization of nanomedicines (Utrecht University, Department of Pharmaceutics).
