Actually the pottery is from a different wreck a mile and a half away from the emeralds. The iron cannon balls were on the WW11 ship that was bringing them to the US from Columbia to be melted down to make more ships!! for the war effort! The emeralds were going to be sold to raise money also! and the whole lot went down!! If someone dumped a pile of diamonds in the ocean and you found them, would anyone have more than just an opinion as to how they got there? So far it is all opinions. I say the pirates had stole them from the Spanish and the English were chasing them and they blew a hole in the pirates ship with cannon fire and the emeralds floated out and away to the bottom!! The pirate ship kept floating for a mile and a half and sank where the fellow found part of a plate!! LOL No Body really knows in my opinion!! I say finder Jay is finder keeper! and orrv has a 5% steak!!
