As you may know, Tirex CEO Bryan Slusarchuk is presenting at the upcoming Conference on Natural Resources, being held in Tirana on April 19th, 2011.
At this conference, Tirex will describe its experience as a leading investor in the Albanian natural resource industry. After 5 years of diligent work and $25 million invested into northern Albania, Tirex has recently announced plans to target a transition into copper and gold production in six specific areas of focus in Albania's Mirdita VMS District.
Today, Tirex is also pleased to announce an event on April 20th, 2012 in Albania during which company management will meet with student leaders from several universities in Albania.
At this student event, Tirex will discuss the regulatory environment in the Albania mining industry, employment opportunities for young people in the mining sector, Albania within an international mining context, and the Tirex approach to "best practices" in environment, health, safety and community within the industry. As Tirex targets to usher in a new era of Albanian mining standards and practices, this full day event with student leaders from across the country will be an important initiative.
Tirex has thousands of stakeholders across the United States, the European Union and Canada and was also the EBRD's first ever mining investment in Albania.
