Folks

It's perfectly reasonable to talk about corporations taking a couple of years to build out and adopt Windows 8.

At the same time, there are lots of companies that held onto Windows Vista, XP, ETC. and will now skip Windows 7.

More importantly, we have a contract with the DoD which at first glance seems troubling because it seems to indicate that the implementation is slower than we would all like. However, what if instead it was the DoD paying Wave to develop a system to simplify the installation of millions of LEGACY machines. Build a system to easily install 100,000 machines now for us, and you can use it to install it on 200 million LEGACY machines used by the corporations who need to be protected.

Now, I know I'm talking like a Wave Dreamer, but lest you forget, Babbage saw it all in his head in 1837, but it took a century to get there. For most of us longs, the start will be more than enough to enjoy a long, slow role in the development of KNOWN computing.

The are 10 kinds of people who understand KNOWN computing, those who do and those who don't. It ain't binary anymore. Alea Jaecta Est.
